Role Profile
You’ll work in a multifunctional, three person project team alongside a Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Creative Expert. The three of you will cover everything needed to execute your projects, coordinating with our technology team and working with external design capacity to deliver outstanding results for your partners, and renew and grow your partnerships.
The teams are designed to be flexible and nimble, chopping and changing who does what to best meet the needs of the project and the capacity of each team member. However, each role has a set of primary areas of expertise which you’ll typically be in charge of on most projects. As the team’s expert in those areas, it’s your responsibility to make sure your team does them to an exceptional standard, whether you’re delivering them yourself or supporting a team member to cover them on a given project.
As a Digital Strategy Expert, your primary areas of expertise are all things strategy, project management and delivery. Your key role in the team is to make sure the execution of our projects is smooth, efficient and high quality, whether that’s through smart strategic planning, tight project management or insightful data analysis. As well as taking ads management and email and page builds on some projects, you’ll also be called on to support the DCE with copywriting and potentially the DSM with proposal writing.

Overseen by the Digital Strategy Manager, you’ll manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams

Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands, communicating with them via email, ClickUp, Slack and on video calls

1.5+ years’ experience working in digital campaigning or digital fundraising, with proven experience of delivering results against goals

Experience of using digital tools to build and send mass emails, comfort with managing lists

Benefits and location
Salary: £34,162 if you live inside London, £30,502 (plus £3,000 travel expense allowance) if you live outside London. Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.
Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.
Hours: We work a 30-hour 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday. Please note - as this is a full time role, you are not permitted to undertake any additional regular paid work on the Friday.
Location: You can work remotely from anywhere in the UK or use our office in London Fields, East London. You will need to be able to come to London once or twice a month for in-person meetings, otherwise most of our meetings are held via video conferencing and all our workflow is built to be remote-first.

The Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public.

About you
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our friendly events team at the British Ecological Society (BES). You’ll need at least one year’s demonstrable experience in delivering high-profile mid-sized events and conferences. You will need a high-level of organisation and reliability as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience of using a CRM and a hybrid event platform. We need a clear and concise communicator who can build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and diverse audiences.
You will assist the BES in the organisation and delivery of our events programme, including our flagship scientific conference, the BES Annual Meeting, which sees 1,200 ecologists gather from around the world and share the latest research.
About the role
Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Officer will:
- In collaboration with the Events Manager, oversee the delivery of allocated parts of the Society’s Annual Meeting, Symposia, and other events.
- Use digital platforms to support event management and delegate experience -including the website, CRM system, conference abstract management system, Eventbrite, Canva, hybrid conference platforms, Excel, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Co-ordinate aspects of event planning including venue search, supplier liaison, catering and accommodation.
- Act as the main point of contact for exhibitors and sponsors, post-sales.
- Maintain and update the programme information on the hybrid event platform for the Annual Meeting.
- Ensure that any agreed branding from sponsors is delivered.
- Provide on-site support at events and go on site visits.
- Develop innovative and creative social media content and digital promotion for the Society’s events.
- Evaluate and monitor success of events portfolio, providing and implementing recommendations where appropriate.
- Evaluate and monitor EDI representation at BES events.

You will be joining us as a very exciting time as we look to increase our corporate members by 50%. You will be working closely with the corporate membership committee and CEO to facilitate the recruitment of new members and manage the relationship with existing members.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Membership
- To manage relationships with existing corporate members and enable smooth running of the process.
- Keep a track on leads, chase leads and organise meetings
- Budget management – invoicing and tracking all incoming and outgoing payments
- Organise overall programme of events and activities
MGM
- To manage relationships with existing holders and recruit new holders
- To manage invoice cycles for all existing holders
- To manage re-inspections/re-issue of certificates
- Budget management – invoicing and tracking all incoming and outgoing payments.
- Organise key events
- Overall Project management.
DGM
- To manage the awards cycle – call to entries, judging days, award ceremony
- To maintain and build the database
- Budget management – invoicing and tracking all outgoing payments and income.
- Be the subject matter expert for the DGM

BGM
- Conduct all the administration for the ongoing BGM entry and judging process.
- To manage relationships with existing holders and recruit new holders
- To ensure all application and re-inspection fees are paid
- To manage re-inspections/re-issue of certificates
- Budget management – invoicing and tracking all incoming and outgoing payments
- Overall project management.
Personal Attributes and Skills
- Must have three years’ experience of Marketing and Events
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Understanding of how to communicate to different audiences.
- Must be able to work in a small team, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Dependable and reliable: able to produce consistently high quality and quantity of written work under pressure.
- Good personal organisation and presentation; first class communication skills.

As a senior youth worker you will be part of the team at Carney’s community, involved in the running of the youth boxing sessions, youth club and bike workshop. The post will start before the lead youth worker is on maternity leave to allow you time to get to know the team, the young people and for effective handover when you will be given responsibility for overseeing the youth club and bike workshop sessions and work in partnership with the head coach to run the youth boxing sessions.
