Charity Fundraising Ltd provides a comprehensive range of fundraising, strategic consultancy and evaluation services to Charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Established in 2000, our services range from grant and contract bid writing and review, to developing fundraising strategies, developing M&E frameworks and undertaking project and programme evaluations. We also offer a range of strategic support, mentoring and training. We work with lots of amazing charities, both local and national, small and large, across the UK, covering themes such as: Homelessness; addiction; youth; community; disability; mental health; minoritised groups; medical conditions; heritage; environment and more.
We are seeking an exceptional fundraiser who can offer a strong track record of driving organisational growth in the voluntary sector. Multi-year experience in two or more of the following core service areas is essential:
- Achieving major grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, public sector agencies or similar.
- Planning and developing successful fundraising strategies and action plans.
- Undertaking voluntary sector project evaluations / developing M&E frameworks.
- Planning and developing successful contract tender submissions.
The role is varied and interesting - managing a portfolio of clients and supporting them directly or strategically with their fundraising, impact evaluation and organisational development. Our consultants are all employees and we work closely together as a supportive team, sharing and developing skills and knowledge. We anticipate the appointee may not hold experience across all core areas of our services. We will enable the appointee to focus on projects that play to their strengths and experience and provide further support and training as necessary.
Based from home (must be UK resident), with ad hoc client and team meetings/socials (all travel paid), mostly within England. All IT equipment provided. Full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE - 28 hrs).

Why Access Social Care Exists
Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives.
We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.
What we do
Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.
With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need.
We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.
This is an exciting time to join ASC. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly including across our senior leadership team. We have more than doubled in size and income since we started operating in April 2020 and we anticipate that this strong growth will continue for the duration of our next strategic period. About the role
This role is pivotal to the growth and success of the charity. Its purpose is to support the Director of Partners and Engagement, the Fundraising Team and Head of Business Development, to lead the charity’s income generation. This includes activities in sourcing small, medium, and major (up to six figures) grant opportunities from trusts, foundations, and institutional/government funders, and individual donors where appropriate. Where opportunity presents, the role holder may also support the business development function. This could involve assisting in the development and implementation of new business growth opportunities to boost income generation. The role will involve project and core-cost fundraising.
Responsibilities

Work with the Director of Partners and Engagement and the fundraising team to maintain existing funds; research new income streams and prepare and submit business cases; and source new funding opportunities for Access Social Care’s projects and core-cost needs.

Participate in planning and strategy meetings. Work with the Finance Director and other leaders to develop and implement annual fundraising/income generation plans, gift tables, and budgets to achieve income targets.

Monitor income targets and provide regular progress reports and updates on performance against target.

Create and implement cultivation plans for high-value donors. Build and maintain long-term relationships with trusts and foundations, individual donors, and other income-generation partnerships through meetings and the production of detailed reports and presentations to generate repeat donations and renew income streams.

Lead on funding bid applications and reports including working with senior colleagues across the organisation to draft warm and cold acquisition, and bespoke written applications.

Build, monitor and manage a pipeline of prospective Trust & Foundation and Funder opportunities.

Keep comprehensive records of all fundraising and business development activities.

Maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders ensuring an up-to-date knowledge of current activities of Access Social Care’s work and brand. Secure case studies to showcase the charity’s work.

The Individual Giving Manager in the Mass Fundraising team will focus and lead on:
- The development of the Individual Giving programme across appeals, regular giving, in memory and digital fundraising

You will be responsible for leading on our annual cash appeals, in memory and regular giving programmes, and digital fundraising campaigns, as well as strengthening our current retention practices and policies. You will be an experienced Individual Giving fundraiser with an understanding of a wide range of direct marketing activities. You will use evidence and insight to deliver an audience-led programme, driven by a test and learn culture. Chapter One is a growing charity dedicated to ensuring every child has access to one-to-one reading support at the time they need it most.
Our innovative Online Reading Volunteers Programme aims to support 3,300 children facing disadvantage during the 2024-25 academic year, pairing five to eight-year-old children with reading support volunteers from over 140 local and national businesses. About the role
With ambitious targets to support thousands more children by 2029, Chapter One is seeking a passionate, energetic Fundraising Officer to be an integral part of our Fundraising team. Reporting to our Trusts & Foundations Manager, you’ll generate income from a range of existing and new trusts and foundations, along with individual fundraising activities to contribute towards the 2024-25 fundraising target of £278,000, rising to £348,000 in 2025-26 in which you’ll have an individual target.
This new role is ideal for an early career professional who can write creative, compelling bids and build impactful relationships to make your mark in a fast-growing charity which is flexible and agile. You’ll be a proactive, determined self-starter and have high standards for yourself and others. You’ll develop and manage a funding pipeline by investing in thorough research and relationship cultivation, and you will thrive in working with funders, partners and supporters on a day -to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the fundraising plan
● Work collaboratively with the Trusts & Foundations Manager to grow Chapter One’s fundraising portfolio and meet agreed income targets from trusts and foundations.
● Maintain a portfolio of existing trusts and foundations, ensuring an excellent cultivation and stewardship journey in order to build relationships and maximise income.
● Proactively identify and research new prospective trust funders, finding creative ways to engage with them to secure support.
● Create compelling and tailored fundraising applications and reports, ensuring there is a strong emotional case for support and accuracy, to inspire prospects and supporters across trusts and foundations.
● Contribute to the highest levels of donor care for supporters, including creative stewardship, adhering to all grant conditions and responding in a timely manner to all enquiries from supporters and prospects.
● Research, interpret and present data about literacy and impact that makes a compelling case for Chapter One’s programmes.
● Contribute to internal planning and budget setting for restricted and unrestricted activities, setting out clear plans and a pipeline for income generation from trusts and foundations.
● Work with the Trusts & Foundations Manager, Corporate Partnerships team and Communications team to support the development of strategies and campaigns to grow individual giving from existing volunteers and supporters.
● Undertake administrative duties to support the delivery of individual fundraising initiatives including matched-giving campaigns and Payroll Giving.
● Work closely with the Trusts & Foundations Manager, Business Development Manager, Corporate Partnerships team and Communications team to ensure a cohesive approach and maximise all fundraising opportunities.

● Oversee and maintain specific fundraising administrative processes, including
recording of activity on the Salesforce CRM and internal databases.

About the role
You’ll manage, coach and develop a team of eight home based Parkinson’s Local Advisers (PLAs) to deliver a high standard of service across Scotland. You’ll ensure that the team is supported in meeting service demand which will include more complex casework, covering gaps, or supporting new/inexperienced colleagues.
You’ll work with colleagues across the wider Parkinson’s UK Scotland team to support the delivery of local priorities to reach and support more people affected by Parkinson’s.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a team of Parkinson’s Local Advisers to deliver a professional service that gives accurate, tailored information and support based on needs in line with optimal service practice
- Ensure quality service standards are met, including assessing needs, advocacy, information and support given and referrals

You will have a background in one or more of the following; impact planning, evaluation or research. This may be complemented by experience of strategy development, programme management, training, facilitation or similar areas. Whatever your previous experience we don’t expect you to tick every box, we want to support your learning so that you can personally develop in the role.
You will join our interdisciplinary team of consultants helping shape the future and empower charities to thrive. Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). CDFIs are community lenders, committed to delivering positive social impact, and offer fair and affordable finance to businesses, social enterprises and to people unable to access it elsewhere.
This is a pivotal moment to be joining the CDFI sector. Responsible Finance and CDFIs are poised for exciting growth following two record-breaking funding announcements in late 2024 which has seen the sector backed by Government and leading financial institutions including the British Business Bank and JPMorgan Chase. This follows Lloyds Banking Group becoming the first mainstream lender to invest in the CDFI sector earlier in the year.
This new funding will enable business-lending CDFIs to scale their reach and impact, supporting economic growth and financial inclusion across the UK. Purpose of the role
The Programme Manager will manage the delivery of key projects and support the Programme Director in overseeing the smooth running of a Programme Management Office (PMO) ensuring that the CEO and Board have the information needed to steer the success of the Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities across the 2-3 roles will include the following:
- Project managing the delivery of key work streams and projects such as the award and monitoring of grants to support capacity building and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for the delivery of training.
- Monitoring the progress of projects, identifying issues and proposing solutions, and maintaining and producing a range of high-quality project documentation (plans, risk and issues registers etc) to support effective delivery – and leading on project and programme board meetings.
- Working closely with CDFIs and stakeholders to identify needs, lead problem-solving, provide support to overcome challenges, and commission reports on progress – synthesising these reports into overall progress reports and presenting back to the programme oversight group and main grant-funder (JPMorgan Chase).
- A project supporting the technical integration of CDFI’s systems and the British Business Bank’s lending platform.
- In addition to the support for business lending CDFIs set out above, one of the role-holders may also lead a project to further develop Responsible Finance’s support offer for personal lending members and be the day-to-day point of contact for these members.

An experienced major donor fundraiser, you will relish the opportunity to own and launch a strategy and implement a long-term engagement plan to strengthen Major Donor relationships that will deliver a new and sustainable income stream.
On the back of continued growth due to successful fundraising performance over the last 5 years, we are ready to take the next step in our fundraising strategy and launch a Philanthropy Giving programme. You will bring specific expertise and skills in this field to support the fundraising team and build on the already strong stewardship and engagement we have with key individuals.
The role is new and on an initial fixed term contract of 12 months but with the potential to make the role permanent if the strategy succeeds.
You're likely to be a seasoned philanthropy professional, ideally with a track record securing gifts at £50k+. You will be comfortable in working closely with a Senior Leadership team and Board.
With an understanding of philanthropy and what makes major donors tick, you will also have the appetite and aptitude to develop new relationships from scratch.
The role will be a good mix of stewarding existing relationships and building brand-new ones. Therefore, you will need to be comfortable and confident researching and developing new contacts, harnessing the potential of existing networks and working closely with the wider organisation.
A key part to the role will be to deliver engagement activities, therefore event planning and strong project management skills are essential.
