New Business Manager Jobs in City Of London, London
Using Anonymous Recruitment

Background
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.

• Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends
• Create monthly data summaries for all participating classrooms
• Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools
• Support programme monitoring, evaluation and research as required

That requires working together in new ways, empowering radical acts of co-creation across communities, sectors and boundaries. For The Young Foundation, this is a moment to embody the spirit of our founder, Michael Young. To embrace collective effort and work collaboratively to show that, with the Power of Participation, we can redesign the social contract between people, communities, state and business to shape a fairer, greener future.

The assessment of business needs and analysis of possible solutions has been undertaken and the successful execution of this transformation is a key deliverable in the first 12 months of the role.
We are a charity earning our income through commissions, grant funding, and by responding to tenders. As such, we need to think and act as a consultancy, supported by our Finance team. We are looking for a hands-on, motivated individual with a solid background in consultancy and charity finance and digital transformation.

FareShare is the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste. We are the only charity operating on a national scale, in partnership with our network, to redistribute edible surplus food to over a million people across the UK.
In addition to providing food, these charities and community groups help tackle the root causes of poverty and provide vital services such as domestic violence shelters, breakfast and after school clubs and older people’s lunch clubs. Thanks to the surplus food from FareShare, our network is supporting people to have better access to food, form stronger connections and reduce isolation to improve mental health.
FareShare’s Strategy & Vision
Vision: We have the vision of a UK where “No good food goes to waste”.
Mission: To use surplus, fit for consumption, food to feed those who are vulnerable in the UK by supporting front line charitable organisations that tackle the cause and not just the symptoms of food poverty.
Our Purpose: We are doers. We are a community. We change lives.
Our Values: Passion – for our cause and the challenge that lies ahead
Ambition – to go the extra mile and drive the change that must happen
Respect – for ourselves, each other, our volunteers, our partners and our beneficiaries
Collaboration – it’s only by working with others that we can be stronger
Focus – on providing the best service possible so that we deliver and achieve the most for our clients/customers.
