Key Responsibilities

· Strategic Leadership: Direct and oversee all safeguarding activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Lead strategic planning and operational delivery within safeguarding domains.

· Service Delivery & Quality Assurance: Develop, review, and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure they are current and compliant with legal requirements.

· Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to safeguarding legislation and manage risks effectively.

· Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop, and quality assure appropriate safeguarding programmes for all staff and volunteers.

· Incident Management: Handle complex safeguarding issues, ensuring swift and decisive action, including referrals to external agencies.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including safeguarding agencies and partners.

· Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and report safeguarding activities to the leadership team, Safeguarding Governance Committee, Board, and relevant entities.

· Commercial Awareness & Innovation: Identify opportunities for commercial growth and innovation in safeguarding commissioning and processes.

· External Influencing: Use external expert stakeholders to better inform practice delivery and proactively horizon scan multi-sectors for future safeguarding opportunities to develop new ways of working and influence wider policy and societal change.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

· Degree in any related field or equivalent work experience.

· Relevant safeguarding certifications covering both children and young people (CYP) and adult safeguarding and protection.

· In depth evidence of comprehensive CPD and how you would deploy this knowledge in post

Experience:

· Extensive experience in a senior leadership role focused on safeguarding across large and complex organisations delivering services, in equal measure, for CYP and adults.

· Evidence of significant experience in delivering on each of the key responsibilities in depth.

· Proven track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating safeguarding policies, procedures, and training programmes.

· Experience managing and influencing teams and individuals on complex safeguarding cases, including conducting risk assessments and coordinating with external agencies.

Skills:

· Exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making critical decisions under pressure.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships and influencing at all levels.

We’re looking for a motivated fundraiser to manage and grow a portfolio of small- and medium-sized trusts and foundations, whilst also supporting the Philanthropy Team in the development of the Major Donor programme.

The Role

Sitting within the High Value Engagement Team – comprising Trusts and Statutory, Philanthropy, Bids and Tenders, and Corporate Partnerships – the Trusts and Philanthropy Officer will build relationships with loyal and prospective donors, raising vital funds to power the Association’s work to support more people affected by stroke.

You will report into the Trusts and Grants Manager, with key responsibilities including:

· Raising income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets.

· Managing a portfolio of low- and mid-value trusts and foundations: working with internal colleagues to develop and prepare bespoke funding applications and reports.

· Managing the Small Trust Mailing programme (raising c.£80k/year).

· Prospect research: identifying and researching promising new donor prospects.

· Supporting the Philanthropy Team with prospecting, cultivation and stewardship of Major Donors, as needed.

About You

You will have:

· Knowledge of trust/philanthropy fundraising for a charitable organisation or equivalent.

As Strategic Lead (Cancer & Inequalities) you’ll continue our work with GM Cancer to achieve a permanent reduction in inequalities and inequity within Greater Manchester, addressing the social, environmental, and economic determinants of health and wellbeing, with the aim of ensuring active VCSE participation.

About the role

As Senior Consultant – Organisational Development you will play a central role in the design and delivery of INTRAC’s Organisational Development (OD) offer as a core member of INTRAC’s OD Team. This includes contributing to a portfolio of OD consultancy, research and training assignments, either in a lead role, or as part of small or multi-disciplinary team with INTRAC network members, staff and partners, building on your expertise.  You’ll be responsible for providing a mixture of content expertise, quality assurance and job management as well as designing and delivering training and facilitation sessions – often online, with participants from a range of contexts. About the role

We are looking for a new team member to use their skills and experience to make a difference to peoples’ lives, encourage sustainability and help protect and improve the natural environment.

Our vision and mission have never been more relevant.  Across the UK governments are pledging investment and action on walking and cycling with an increasing demand for high quality infrastructure. As part of this we are keen to further develop the National Cycle Network as a network for nature, as well as people. To help achieve this Sustrans produced a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) in October 2023.

As the Senior Ecologist you will advise staff on all ecological aspects of Sustrans work across the north of England, as well as parts of Scotland and Wales (as required). 

In collaboration with colleagues and partners across a wide range of disciplines, you will undertake field surveys, manage ecological and arboricultural sub-consultants, prepare reports to support planning applications and use your expertise to help shape the design of new walking and cycling paths so that they benefit people and wildlife.

Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to either hub base in Manchester or Leeds.

About you

You should be a skilled ecologist with significant experience in relevant previous roles and a higher-level vocational qualification, or degree in ecology or associated subject.

Your expertise will help to embed best ecological practice across the charity and shape our approach to delivering biodiversity improvement as part of route management and construction activity across the UK, with an emphasis on projects in our Northern region.

As an excellent communicator, you will have good verbal and written communications skills demonstrable in ability to communicate effectively to a range of different audiences. You will also be skilled in ecological report writing including reviewing and interpreting third party reports.

Betknowmore UK is proud to introduce 'Your Voice Matters,' our latest project aimed at addressing the unique challenges of gambling harms within London's Black community. With a focus on removing barriers and reducing stigma surrounding seeking support, our strategy empowers individuals, communities, and faith leaders.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of 'Your Voice Matters.' Collaborating closely with our Director of Support Services and fellow Betknowmore colleagues, you will oversee the delivery of workshops, facilitate focus groups, and participate in community engagement events. Supported by our partnership with The Faiths Forum for London, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships within the Black community to maximize the project's impact over the next two years.

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a pension scheme and generous work/life balance. This is a fixed-term appointment for a period of two years, subject to satisfactory role performance.

As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other. You will enable partner networks and Viva to build, measure and learn together, evaluating the effectiveness of programmes and methodologies, adapting them to ensure desired impact is reached and sharing learning with each other and with other development partners.

You will also work to ensure all programmes funded by Viva are accountable, well-monitored and contribute to our learning environment with clear opportunities to learn and adapt throughout the programme delivery and reporting processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Shared leadership: You will contribute to strategic decision making as part of the Network Partnerships Leadership Team and be part of shaping the vision and practice of Viva as an organisation from a Christian faith perspective.
• Viva MEAL framework: You will develop and manage a robust MEAL Framework for Viva
• Network health: You will work closely with the Network Partnerships Leadership Team to review Viva’s Network Health Check process and develop a system designed to support partner networks to build strong and sustainable networks
• Reviewing project delivery: You will work closely with Network Coaches to agree the most efficient outworking of the MEAL Framework with the Viva partner networks for projects where Viva has brokered funding.
• Evaluating Viva’s work: You will lead the process of evaluating Viva’s work, including but not limited to needs assessments, baseline survey, final evaluation, data quality audits, collecting monitoring data, network satisfaction surveys, and field supervision.

• have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field
