The Head of Philanthropy will also be responsible for relationships with Board members, Fellows, alumni donors and legacies.

To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking and ingrained knowledge of how to secure and steward HNWIs. This will ideally have been done at the six-figures-plus level and you will have significant experience networking to build and manage relationships that lead to major gifts.

This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £56,000 to £68,000.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead on our third party challenge events programme, delivering a portfolio of inspiring events through impactful acquisition campaigns and exceptional supporter experiences.

Overview of the role

Fundraising activities

Individual Giving

· Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver a robust communication plan – actively taking part in the case studies, content creation and digital campaign plans (social media and website)

· Create and implement a follow-up communication plan to thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions

· Undertake evaluations of each appeal’s performance metrics and donor responses to refine future appeals

Fundraising support

· Monitor the Fundraising inbox and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries from individual donors or prospects

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead in delivering our DIY and open challenge events portfolio through impactful acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.

As part of the Mass Participation team, you’ll be responsible for developing the overall strategy for both the DIY and open challenge events programmes. A key part of the role is identifying and maximising opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends.
