By joining our team as an Learning Design and Assessment Manager, you’ll be helping us to support teachers, champion great teaching and raise the status of the profession by supporting teacher professional learning and accreditation. You will be an experienced teacher or leader, with an interest in teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment. You may also have experience designing or delivering teacher professional development within an education setting or via an education-focused organisation.

The opportunity
As Learning Design and Assessment Manager you will play a key role in developing curriculum and content for our online courses, drawing on your experience and knowledge of teaching and learning to provide a coherent learning experience, ensuring that all content is of a very high quality and informed by the latest research and evidence. You will also support our accreditation function, designing assessments and supporting internal assessment and moderation processes.
There will be some flexibility in the role, meaning that we can tailor the work you will be involved with to suit your skillset. Working closely with colleagues in our Professional Learning and Accreditation Team, we expect that the Learning Design and Assessment Manager will:
- develop the curriculum and write and commission course content and materials for teachers and school leaders
- design training materials and, where relevant, directly deliver training and CPD to teachers and school leaders
- engage with education research to ensure the content and delivery of courses is informed by the best available evidence of effective practice
- design and develop assessments to support teacher certification and accreditation
- assess and moderate submissions; contribute to the ongoing development of robust assessment policies and processes
- develop assessment training and guidance for assessors, teachers, schools and delivery partners, as appropriate
- work with schools and organisations to support ongoing engagement in courses and programmes
- develop and implement robust content and delivery plans, overseeing projects and course development activity to ensure that courses are delivered on time, within budget and fulfil project requirements

The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech.
Main responsibilities include:
- Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
- Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). CUP Global (previously known as CUP) is a unique, long-standing, and rigorous research programme that systematically gathers, analyses, and judges the strength of the global evidence on how diet, nutrition, physical activity and body weight affect cancer risk and survival. This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful.
As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.
We are looking to recruit someone who has a Masters degree in public health sciences, particularly nutrition and/or cancer research, and with a good understanding of epidemiological concepts. We are seeking someone with experience of writing scientifically, copywriting, editing and proofreading, with good attention to detail and with experience of reviewing and interpreting scientific research/literature. We require someone who can co-ordinate and manage projects, who can produce concise, well-constructed, written communications with the ability to present orally to various audiences in a clear and persuasive manner, and who can provide administrative support, including taking meeting minutes and writing professional emails.

Purpose of This Role:
This is a new, pivotal strategic role to shape future policy and practice in how faith communities support social prescribing for the benefit of local communities. Building on the emerging body of research around the connection between faith and health, this role will take the lead at a national level influencing, shaping and convening partners to unlock and unleash the significant resources of faith groups in contributing towards holistic healthcare delivered within the community.
The purpose of this role is to lead and co-ordinate NASP’s national work on social prescribing with partners across the faith sector and enable a better understanding of how to work effectively with faith communities through social prescribing, and the role that faith and belief plays in supporting good health and wellbeing. The role will work to improve accessibility of community support through social prescribing. The role would have a particular emphasis on access and health inequalities due to faith groups’ reach into deprived communities and ethnic minority communities.
The role sits in the National Leads team and will work alongside colleagues leading on the key areas of the natural environment, physical activity, historic environment, arts and culture, children and young people and older people.

Responsibilities:

Lead and co-ordinate NASP’s national work on social prescribing with partners across the faith sector.

Build understanding and awareness within NASP and across other sectors of what is required to support the effective provision of services, activities and information in the faith sector to promote health and wellbeing through social prescribing.

Liaise with and support new and existing initiatives to build an evidence base for faith-based social prescribing.

Build a community of practice of health-engaged faith leaders to help consult on the workstream and to act as ambassadors for faith-based social prescribing.

Ensure engagement of faith communities themselves in developing social prescribing strategy and policy, working with relevant partners.

Provide high quality advice and insight on faith activity and services in support of NASP’s strategy development, communications and external briefings and meetings. and to enable NASP’s healthcare integration team to support the strategic development of faith SP at Integrated Care System level and secure place-based investment.

Map current tools, resources, guides and evidence and publish a ‘one stop shop’ online to enable better commissioning and delivery.

Build consensus on the key policies required for the scale and spread of social prescribing for faith communities across stakeholders; a joint vision of ‘good faith-based SP’.

Identify and shape partnership opportunities to secure additional funding and resources to help build capacity to enable future social prescribing activity to better support people’s health and wellbeing outcomes.

Enable awareness raising, shared learning, training and best practice within the faith sector and with other key social prescribing sectors.

Budget Management - including day to day management, raising and processing payments and reporting.

Founded in 1989, the mission of Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) is to support Indigenous Peoples and other communities of the world’s rainforests in their efforts to protect their environment and fulfil their rights to land, life and livelihood. Locally, it supports forest communities to gain land rights, challenge destructive industries, manage their forests and protect their environment. Globally, it campaigns to influence laws and policies that protect rainforests and their inhabitants.
The DRC Fieldwork Coordinator role sits within RFUK’s largest Programmes team: Land & Livelihoods. A central aspect of the L&L team’s work is supporting communities to establish and manage community forests as well as working at the national and policy levels to achieve wider impact. This role will be pivotal to a new phase of community forest expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is being supported by the Rainforest Trust. In partnership with five local organisations, the role will contribute to the objective of expanding community forests in two highly biodiverse landscapes: the periphery of the Maïko National Park in North Kivu province and the area surrounding the Salonga National Park in Maï Ndombe province.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years’ experience of project management support in a charity or international development context, as well as 3 years’ of experience in supporting community land use planning and livelihoods initiatives in rural contexts. We are seeking someone who has a firm grasp on forest governance and human rights, is familiar with the requirements of institutional donors, and is eager to play a key role in a new phase of community forest expansion.

How you will make a difference
As Senior Programme Officer, I will support the Head of Commercial Insight & Development to ensure Mental Health UK delivers high quality projects and programmes that:

In this role, I will support the Head of Commercial Insight & Development to identify opportunities to grow and expand our existing programmes. I will work with the Communications and Marketing Team to identify opportunities throughout our programmes to demonstrate our impact as an organisation.
I will oversee the day-to-day delivery of projects within Mental Health UK’s portfolio, supporting colleagues across Mental Health UK and the four founding charities to ensure outputs are delivered on time and to budget, and outcomes are achieved as planned.

Job Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.
Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.
Key Responsibility Areas
- To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
- To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.
- Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
- To have oversight on a cross-organisational basis of leading practice in project management methodologies, tools and techniques advising teams and colleagues on suitable approaches to ensure the effective delivery of a range of diverse projects and programmes.

About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:
The Family Advocate will provide trauma-informed specialist support to women in the community and in prison who are at risk of losing custody of their children/have already experienced child removal. This role will also upskill colleagues, and work with Children’s Social Care teams to improve the response to women impacted by the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with the criminal justice system, who are at risk of experiencing/have experienced child removal.
2. Provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including upskilling through information and training sessions on Children’s Social Care and family court processes, and increase Children's Social Care teams' knowledge and understanding on women in the criminal justice system.
3. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as Children’s Social Care, probation, prison, to ensure a collaborative approach to women’s needs.
4. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.

Job Purpose:
To provide operational management of the Substance Misuse Through-the-Gate (SMTTG) programme, which supports Lambeth and Southwark women in custody and their transition back into the community. The Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the service is delivered to a high standard by line managing staff, developing strong partnerships with prisons and recovery services, and fostering a culture of quality, learning, and accountability.
The post holder will also hold a caseload, working directly with women in custody to support them into community services. They will provide robust Through-the-Gate (TTG) support on release and continue to work with women in the community for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable recovery.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Lead the operational management of the Substance Misuse TTG programme, ensuring high-quality, trauma-responsive support for women impacted by the criminal justice system
- Manage and develop staff to foster a strong, inclusive, and reflective team culture
- Deliver direct support to women, ensuring a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
- Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders in prisons and the community to strengthen partnerships and share expertise
