Job description

Home-Start Elmbridge (HSE) is seeking to recruit a full-time Charity Project and Support Officer who will be responsible to the Scheme Manager.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the social media profile of HSE across a number of platforms, therefore you should have excellent digital engagement skills.  Additionally, you will need database experience, admin and organisational skills to provide administrative and planning support to the HSE team.

Home-Start Elmbridge is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families and children. The Scheme organises events and groups to provide family support.  Primarily HSE runs a weekly volunteer support service which provides friendship and practical help to families in their own homes. The service helps to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

A good standard of education (GCSE, and relevant administration qualifications), together with sensitivity, ability to maintain and respect confidentiality and excellent communication skills are essential. You should understand and be committed to the role of the voluntary sector and Home-Starts objectives, be able to work in a small team and demonstrate the ability of taking initiative. Use of your own car (expenses paid) may be necessary. An enhanced disclosure check will be required.
