The National Careers Service
The National Careers Service provides free, professional careers information, advice, and guidance to help our clients make decisions about learning, training, and work at any stage of their career. The service is available to anyone living in England and aged 13 or over. Through the National Careers Service, anyone can access professional careers advice and support for free via webchat, on the telephone, and face-to-face with a qualified careers adviser in the local area. Our skilled careers advisers can provide support on any aspect of our client’s career journey.
The Team
As part of the National Careers Service management team in the Southeast, you will be part of a small management and strategic team with an overview of a cohort of highly experienced and qualified Careers Advisers, trainees, tracking and admin staff that support our clients by providing Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) and monitoring our clients’ journeys.
About the Role
We’re seeking an inspiring, dedicated, and compassionate Area Manager to lead, support, and manage a team of careers advisers delivering the National Careers Service within the community. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, innovative services tailored to customer needs, while driving team performance to meet targets and upholding the highest standards of impartial careers information, advice, and guidance.
You will ensure the successful delivery of services across community venues, Job Centres, education providers, and online platforms. This role blends performance management, resource planning, and partnership building with oversight of daily operations. You will also ensure the effective use of data and CRM systems, deliver clear communication and training to staff, and identify opportunities to expand and enhance service delivery.
This position requires travel and may include covering out of hours, weekends and bank holidays in line with First Contact requirements. There will be an on-call payment that will be received monthly.

Minimum Criteria
- Relevant experience and knowledge of the employability, careers and charity sector

This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres, to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

It's an exciting time to join the fundraising team at Prostate Cancer UK as we deliver on a new strategy. We've seen an upward trend in our fundraising income over the last decade and we're anticipating further growth in the next five years. We're introducing new roles to transform how we work and intentionally integrate our individual giving with our work across fundraising, brand and health awareness. You'll play a vital role within our successful mass fundraising function, helping us strengthen our propositions to acquire new supporters and secure long-term support.
In this key role, you'll be at the forefront of developing and delivering our individual giving strategy. You'll lead on the acquisition of new supporters and work to diversify our channels based on supporter insights. A crucial part of your work will be to create and deliver engaging supporter journeys across all touchpoints, ensuring our donors are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll have experience of managing risk and navigating challenging situations, like how to develop supporters beyond being a one-off donor. About the role
As our Grants and Impact Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining and growing Caring in Bristol’s income from Trusts, Foundations and statutory grants, by acquiring and managing high-value funder relationships. Resurrection Trading (known as Resurrection Furniture) is a vibrant friendly charity shop in Alton High Street specialising in recycled second hand furniture and home goods. We need an efficient organiser to lead our team of volunteers, manage the office and bring a creative flair to display and sales.
About us
We opened in Alton in 2017 and in 2022 moved to larger premises at 21b High Street. The charity is linked to the Parish of the Resurrection. All profits from the shop go to good causes in Alton, especially to support youth related projects, people in need, heritage buildings and the community.
The shop is a busy, friendly place supported by a skilled team of repairers in the workshop and a lively band of drivers and lifters on the van. In total we have more than 50 volunteers and the charity is led by a team of Trustees. The shop is open 10 to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
Job Summary
The Manager’s role is typical for a retail high street shop except that there is no head office or back up staff - the manager and volunteers between them carry out all functions. These include:
Daily office administration - communications especially daily emails, Facebook messages and phone calls re furniture donations and sales, discussions with volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
Office Administration

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. Strategy, vision and leadership

About the Role
The role of Database Officer sits in the Data, Evidence and Monitoring team, at the junction of frontline services, fundraising and the leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of In-Form, our case management system for frontline services. In-Form represents a key data asset for the organisation so we are looking for someone who is responsible, conscientious and able to provide excellent customer service to other stakeholders who rely on In-Form. A strong interest in information management and databases is also essential for this role.
We would like to manage aspects of the development of In-Form in-house with limited recourse to the technical support team at In-Form. We recognise that this involves technical skills and will provide relevant on-the-job training to the successful candidate. We believe this job would be an ideal opportunity for someone who already has experience of using a case management system as a frontline worker in health/social care and now wants to move into data management, data protection and/or project monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
Salary: £32,917
