About the role

As our Support Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for our valued Crusaders Associates, those who have been on the journey with Urban Saints since we were known as Crusaders. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional supporter experiences. Your work will help continue and build lasting relationships that inspire ongoing support for our mission from those who have journeyed with us over many years.

You'll be responsible for:

• Responding to associate enquiries via phone, email, and post in a timely, warm, and professional manner, with empathy and attention to detail throughout.
• Listening and responding to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships.
• Developing a programme to regularly thank donors for their support.
• Ensuring supporters feel valued and appreciated.
• Maintaining accurate supporter records on our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
• Working closely with the Head of Development to ensure consistent messaging and supporter journeys.

Location

The role is home-based with regular travel required to visit supporters and to supporter events across the UK.

Please note, it's a requirement of the role that you have a UK driving licence and access to a car.

About You

We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised individual who excels in building meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional supporter care. You will have experience of working with supporters, or in a donor relations role, and be an excellent communicator.

You will be joining a dedicated team of 9 staff and over 40 volunteers, working for a well-respected grassroots charity. As individuals and an organisation, we are committed to welcoming, supporting and empowering refugees and people seeking asylum who live in the borough of Knowsley.

This role will require you to enjoy communicating with new and existing volunteers and have good organizational skills. You will also support the wider organization – especially the casework and community work, so an awareness of this is helpful.

The post is currently 3 days/week, with the opportunity to work flexibly across the week, but would require work on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Please read on to get an idea of the role and who we are looking for.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of this post is to support an established team of volunteers and recruit and train new volunteers. It is a role that will ensure volunteers remain up to date with training and abreast of information important to giving clear support to refugees and people seeking asylum. (The percentages in brackets give and estimated distribution of time spent in each area).

1. Provide support for volunteers (15%)

• Ensure regular and effective communication with volunteers via a variety of methods: e-mail, letters, newsletters, meetings, telephone, etc.
• Provide volunteers with on-going training and development opportunities
• Ensure volunteers have periodic project review meetings, as well as appropriate social activities

2. Coordinating volunteer activities (25%)

• To have oversight of volunteers at drop in/ English classes ensuring (i. volunteers are available; ii. resources are available at site (e.g. food or clothes for drop in))
•  Outreach volunteering such as befriending
• Back office volunteering (e.g. clothes sorting, admin)
• Ensuring that volunteers have appropriate roles and ways to progress
• Respond to any issues that arise that might then require training or reorganising of practices/policy

3. Recruit and train new volunteers (15%)

• Development of volunteer roles and opportunities in response to volunteer, staff and client feedback
• Co-ordinate the advertising, recruitment and assessment processes to ensure equality of access to volunteer roles
• Provide induction training for all volunteers to enable to fulfil their role (including health, safety and safeguarding)
• Ensure that volunteers understand the purpose, importance and process of data collection, case recording and monitoring systems and that they use them effectively where and as appropriate

4. Ensure quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation (10%)

• To develop and maintain volunteer policies and procedures in line with best practice (e.g. Investing in Volunteers)
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant and recognised best practice guidelines, policy requirements, employment law and quality standards in relation to volunteering input and management
• Co-ordinate specific client well-being events on a regular basis, engaging volunteers and other staff to support event development, organisation and delivery
• Maintain written accurate records on volunteer details and activity and other information as required, providing written and verbal reports as required

5. Additional duties relating to post (10%)

• Deliver and arrange access to training for team colleagues in relation to the above, where required
• With the CEO ensure that volunteers operate at all times within the principles of impartiality and confidentiality, in accordance with SHARe Knowsley’s vision, values, principles, policies and procedures
• Engage in relevant external meetings/ networks/ forums as agreed with the line manager

6. For SHARe Knowsley (10%)

• Actively participate in supervision and appraisal, review and planning sessions, team meetings, working groups and staff conferences and other meetings
• Carry out administrative duties associated with the post as required
• Work within SHARe Knowsley’s policies, procedures, guidelines and other agreed documents

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of public fundraising and engagement activities, building new and existing relationships with community, individual and business supporters. You will be the first point of contact for the charity, providing exceptional administration and an outstanding supporter experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engagement

• Build rich relationships through exceptional and inspirational stewardship to increase retention, average gift and supporter experience.

Fundraising

Businesses: charity of the year, staff fundraising, sponsorship. 2. Community: individual fundraising, schools, groups, official charity for third party events. 3. Individuals: one-off/appeals, regular giving, in-memoriam/celebration and legacies
• Create engaging fundraising campaigns that increase profile, secure new support and increase income.
• Proactively identify opportunities for retaining, growing or diversifying income from existing supporters.
• Actively network to raise the profile of the charity and identify opportunities for new support.
• Recruit, support and coordinate volunteers to support for fundraising and engagement activity.

Data/administration

• Ensure prompt and effective supporter communications, particularly when thanking donations.
• Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM (Donorfy), growing the database and improving data quality.
• Use data insight to prepare reports and analyse performance to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor/evaluate income and KPIs making recommendations for remedial action or growth opportunities.
• Prepare Quarterly reports for the Board, and upon request.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

Role purpose 

The IT Assistant is an integral part of the hospice. The hospice relies on IT systems for all aspects of care delivery, administration, fundraising, and communication. 

The IT Assistant will ensure timely resolution of technical issues, minimising downtime and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.

Job Summary

• Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing technical support on hardware, software, and network matters.

• Support account management (creation, modification, disabling) while ensuring compliance with GDPR, NHS Digital requirements, and other data security regulations through system updates, security monitoring, and controlled user access.

• Assist with the maintenance and updating of IT equipment, asset registers, licences, and warranties.

• Provide support for key hospice systems, including:

o Office 365 o EMIS

o Electronic Prescribing system o Xero o Donorflex o HR systems

• Escalate issues appropriately to the Associate Director or external support providers.

• Support training sessions, user guides, and IT clinics to build staff IT confidence.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.

Fixed term until March 2026.

Full time- 35 hours a week

Location: Field based in East Anglia and North London with working from home. (The role will require travelling in East Anglia and North London but will work from home around meetings and workshops.)

The Role

In this role you will be:

· Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.

· Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.

· Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

About You

· You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· You will be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· You will be able to show empathy and be able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.

· It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products

· You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice.

The Charity Spark is looking to appoint a Strategic Fundraising Consultant to expand our fundraising support for clients across the UK. This pivotal role will be a strategic fundraising lead, working with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. You will advise on a range of income generation methods, including trust and foundation grants, legacy giving, major donor philanthropy, and corporate partnerships.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 FTE (3 days per week is £24,000-27,000 per year)

What you’ll be doing:

1. Fundraising

1. • Develop and Lead Fundraising Strategies: Create bespoke, multi-stream fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This includes capital appeals and other large-scale projects, helping clients raise significant funds for transformative goals.
   • Income Diversification: Advise clients on how to diversify their fundraising portfolio, reducing reliance on any single income source and building resilience.
   • Trust and Foundation Fundraising: While the role is broader, you will still oversee and deliver trust fundraising work, including researching funders, writing bids and proposals, and supporting clients to steward donors effectively. You will also mentor and upskill clients and their teams on best practices.
   • Support the Director with developing strategic resources for fundraising including digital courses, blogs and downloadable resources for charities.
   • Client Management and Support: Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, hands-on support, and strategic guidance throughout their fundraising journey.

2. Business Development

· Deal with client enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.

· Support the Director with onboarding new clients.

· Liaise with clients to gain testimonials and write client case studies.

· Research opportunities for new business products and/or clients.

· Support with B Corp certification process and improve The Charity Spark’s impact as a company.

About you:

• Experienced Fundraising Leader: You have a proven track record of success with five or more years of experience in fundraising. You demonstrate the ability to develop and execute effective, multi-stream strategies. You can tell us about fundraising successes you have been an important part of.
• Strategic Thinker: You are adept at seeing the bigger picture, identifying growth opportunities, and creating long-term plans for organisations. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative growth mindset.

WDC’s Games For Waves initiative engages the gaming and streaming communities to raise funds and awareness for whale, dolphin and ocean conservation. This role will play a key part in supporting MMHA’s successful campaigning, including supporting our maternal mental health councils project, and helping drive change so that women, birthing people, babies and families affected by maternal mental health problems can access the right care, at the right time, without discrimination.

Job purpose

Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of MMHA campaign and policy work to improve perinatal mental health care systems, policy and practice in the UK.

Main responsibilities

• Support policy activities relating to MMHA’s Maternal Mental Health Councils project.
• Assist with the production of campaign resources, including desk research, drafting copy, and proof reading.
• Read and summarise policy information, such as reports and carry out data analysis, to support MMHA’s evidence base.

We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. About your team 

You’ll be joining our brilliant South Region team, which covers our largest region from Kent to Cornwall, offering numerous opportunities to contribute your expertise in a variety of contexts, from urban and suburban to coastal and rural settings. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides, we’d like to see these numbers grow significantly over the next few years. 

In the south region we have the highest density of Christian holidays and festivals, with events that we organise and run directly and a variety of festival and missions that we support and partner with. You’ll have a fantastic opportunity each summer to get hands on engaged in these mission and festivals throughout the year. 

Our South Region also includes our vibrant capital, one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse cities in the world, with over 300 languages spoken. With many like-minded missional organisations having a footprint in and around the capital, and all of the Christian movements and denominations represented here, London holds key strategic value and will be the focus of your ministry activities.
