About the role:
As our Dementia Coordinator, you’ll lead the development and coordination of dementia-focused activities, working closely with volunteers, carers, and local partners. Your work will help create a supportive, connected community where people living with dementia feel valued and engaged.

Our Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST)  groups are where group members who are living with dementia and other cognitive impairments can participate in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental function. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new relationships. MCST Activities include discussions, word games, quizzes, physical activities and creative and musical activities.

Our monthly Memory Cafés offers a relaxed, informal setting for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers to get together. The Memory Cafés provides a mixture of talks, information and advice, entertainment and activities

What you’ll do:

• Lead the delivery of our dementia groups including MCST sessions and our Dementia cafes, with support from volunteers.
• Work with the wider team to support your clients in accessing befriending support, social activities beyond the dementia groups and other related services.
• Build strong partnerships with local dementia services across health, social care, and the voluntary sector.
• Use and support the team of existing dementia linked volunteers and develop further recruitment and training as needed.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will lead and support the surveying, maintenance, and refurbishment of a wide variety of buildings and structures across our estate.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver condition surveys, oversee refurbishment programmes, and manage maintenance works on everything from residential lodges and listed bridges to ornamental gates and water features.

About You

Financial accounting

About BIICL

BIICL is a leading independent research organisation in international and comparative law and the rule of law. Our research, events, training and publications are grounded in scholarly knowledge and strong practical experience. We seek to make a lasting impact on law and policy around the world.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Events and Marketing Assistant to provide support for a range of events and marketing-related activities. This is a permanent post, subject to confirmation after a probationary period of 6 months. The post would be particularly suited to a recent events management or marketing graduate looking to develop a career in events management or in marketing for a charity or educational organisation.

The Role

The person appointed will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and work as part of a small team of staff responsible for events and marketing. The person will be involved in all aspects of the marketing and events team’s work including:

• Setup and support for the running of events for the Institute;
• Dealing with event enquiries on a day to day basis;
• Running online events including recording and editing of video recordings;
• Recording events using still photography and posting on the websites and social media;
• Updating and maintaining the Marketing and Events team documentation and databases;
• Creation of content and posting on the BIICL social media channels;
• Maintenance of the BIICL websites including creation and updating of content using the sites’ CMS;
• Production and editing of printed and digital materials for events and other marketing activity;
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders including members, event attendees, suppliers and partner organisations;
• Online research for targeting of BIICL events and courses;
• Ad hoc administrative support on events and marketing related tasks.

Person Specification

It is expected that the successful applicant will demonstrate and provide evidence of the following:

•  A degree or equivalent experience in event co-ordination or marketing;
• Experience of supporting events;
• Effective project management skills and good attention to detail;
• Strong administrative and organisational skills;
• A personable, presentable and articulate team member with the ability and willingness to work collaboratively and collegially with colleagues;
• Good copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly;
•  An interest in the design of marketing communications;
• Highly proficient user of MS 365 and office programmes, social media platforms and Zoom / other video conferencing software;
• Knowledge of multi-media editing;
• Experience of Mailchimp, SogoSurvey, Adobe InDesign, or Canva would be a benefit.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising for Age UK (West London Branch), to be the lead income generation specialist and take a hands-on approach to a broad range of fundraising and build a team in the longer term.

This is London hybrid role, with 1-2 days a week in the office with a range of flexible options of condensed hours and or job share options.

The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO and joining the SMT.

You would be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering income generation strategy.

As the sole dedicated income generation specialist, you will take a hands-on approach to all aspects of fundraising and business development, identifying opportunities, building partnerships, securing funding, and maximising income from a diverse range of sources.

The fundraising income is currently c£300,000 per year and they have ambition to grow this to £500,000 over the next three years to ensure that they can continue to be there for older people when they are in need.

You would lead and manage the acquisition of potential donors, cultivate relationships, solicit donations, and engage in ongoing stewardship activities to retain and grow support.

The Candidate
This would suit a a proactive hands on fundraiser, happy to be a sole fundraiser within a wider supportive team.

Someone with a proven track record of securing significant income from at least three of the following individual giving (including High Net Worth and regular giving), trusts/foundations, corporates, community, and/or legacy support.

We would like you to have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies and plans.

Our Community Advice service is central to Citizens Advice Camden’s work, providing high-quality generalist advice to residents across a range of issues including benefits, housing, and employment. The team delivers support through face-to-face, telephone, video, and digital channels, and is strengthened by a committed group of volunteers and a collaborative working environment. 

As Advice Supervisor you will play a key role, along with our other supervisors, in maintaining and developing the quality of this service. You will supervise and contribute to the delivery of advice, ensuring we meet the targets and outcomes of our advice contracts and grant agreements. We are looking for someone with experience of delivering generalist advice and casework to a high standard, and the ability to support others to do the same. While we welcome experienced supervisors, we are also open to considering this as a development opportunity for an experienced adviser ready to take the next step in their career.

Robertson Bell is exclusively partnering with the British Medical Association (BMA) in their search for a Group VAT Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The BMA is the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK.  They represent, support and negotiate on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Group VAT Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the BMA Group (BMA and BMJPG) properly accounts for VAT and meets their statutory return, including overseas equivalents. You will proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the group are compliant and will manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC, as the organisation’s VAT Subject Matter Expert.

The organisation:

Through these efforts, the BMA continues to influence healthcare policy both within the UK and globally, and this Group VAT Accountant will be critical to supporting the continued development of their international reach.

The key duties of the role are as follows:

• Responsible for submission of accurate and timely statutory VAT returns (and international equivalents) for the Group.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis that supports the VAT return submission.
• Undertake annual reviews of the VAT position, including any exemptions applied during the year.
• Proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the Group are compliant with the required tax legislation and remain alert to any future changes.
• Proactively manage the relationship with external advisors and HMRC.
• Liaise with Group Auditors, providing support and information for financial audits, preparation of financial statements and other requests.
• Compile and communicate appropriate tax guidance and training wherever needed within the group, liaising with external advisors as necessary.
• Provide non-finance managers with insight, creativity and support whilst new business proposals are developed for proposed new income streams

To be successful as a Group VAT Accountant you'll ideally have:

• Accounting Qualification (CCAB) (essential)
• Significant experience in VAT within a commercial organisation (essential)
• Previous experience of working in a VAT compliance role (essential)
• Knowledge of applying VAT law and how it affects corporations.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK, EU and global VAT compliance issues
• Good relationship building and management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and data analysis skills
