What is the role?

As the Schools & Community Fundraiser, you will be working as part of the Fundraising Team to meet organisational income targets. You will have responsibility for the co-ordination, organisation, and evaluation of existing schools fundraising events within agreed levels of income & expenditure.

You will be expected to foster and grow our links with educational establishments, the wider community across Lanarkshire and 3rd party supporters. This will involve working with all Lanarkshire Nurseries, Primary & Secondary schools, to raise awareness of the Hospice, fundraising and our role in the community. You will be required to maximise and grow the income generated from all fundraising activities related to schools and community fundraising.

In addition to your own workload, you will support the work of the fundraising department with other fundraising initiatives as directed..

What we expect of you?

· Experience working within a fundraising/sales role

· Proven experience of working to income related targets.

· Experience of liaising with young people in a formal or informal setting.

· As an important part of the Hospice team, you will also deliver Hospice educational presentations to schools & community groups that will range from three or four individuals to classes, full school assemblies or School awards nights, across all age groups

· A proven track record of success when working individually and as part of a team.

· Flexibility as occasional evening and weekend work will be required

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

North Bristol Advice Centre is recruiting an experienced Money Advice Caseworker to join our busy debt team, delivering high quality debt advice to communities in North Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The Role

As Finance Business Partner (Grants), you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial management across a diverse portfolio of grants and contracts. Acting as a strategic partner to both finance and programme teams, you’ll provide financial insight, ensure donor compliance, and drive best practice throughout the grant lifecycle from proposal to closeout.

You’ll support sound financial decision-making across IRC UK’s growing portfolio of institutional and statutory funders, helping to ensure funds are managed efficiently, transparently, and in line with both donor and IRC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with project and finance teams throughout all stages of the grant lifecycle: proposal development, implementation, and closeout.

About You

You will be a qualified, part-qualified, or QBE accountant with strong financial management experience and excellent technical accounting skills. You’ll have a sharp understanding of how accounting operates within large, international organisations and demonstrable experience with institutional donor finance (e.g. FCDO, SIDA, Irish Aid, AFD). Experience working within multi-entity or international grant-funded environments, where collaboration across HQ and field teams is key, will be a strong advantage. You’ll also be confident working within complex reporting environments.

The charity is now leading a national movement to address a hidden mental health crisis in seriously ill children.

There are one million children in the UK facing life-limiting, life-threatening, and serious chronic conditions. This role will be responsible for an effective and compliant operations function (finance, HR, programmes/projects, governance). You will help the charity to scale its operations sustainably and ensure the charity complies with its legal and governance responsibilities. We are looking for a proactive individual who has an eye for detail in data and administration. You will be ambitious and entrepreneurial, with real vision and a passion for the cause. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance and HR

• Liaise with outsourced bookkeepers (also payroll providers) to ensure timely/accurate information flow.
• Oversee income and expenditure budgets and performance, processing of donations and scheduled payments, and ensuring accurate and consistent coding.
• Work with accountants to support year-end accounts and coordinate annual report production.
• Produce and circulate monthly management accounts and other reports for the Board.
• Support Trustees with designated responsibilities e.g. finance, risk, governance.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and HR record-keeping (including freelancers).
• Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM (Donorfy), including prompt input of donations.

Charitable projects

• Support the planning and coordination of secured charitable projects, liaising with project partners, monitoring delivery milestones, payment schedule and working with the wider team to maximise success.
• Compiling project monitoring/evaluation data from project partners to support excellent impact reporting.

Governance and operations

Together with the volunteer Charity Secretary:

• Coordination of Board meetings and AGMs, agendas, papers and minutes.
• Maintain central registers (trustee attendance/terms, governance documents, policies, risk, safeguarding training etc).
• Fulfil statutory and regulatory responsibilities, including filing of annual accounts.
• Advise trustees on governance best practice, in line with Charity Commission guidance.
• Management of policies, procedures and operational systems (including the CRM) that strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Prepare Quarterly reports for the Board, and upon request.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Code of Practice, including delivering the responsibility of data protection lead.
• Maintain relationships with volunteer Independent Advisors and commissioned service providers e.g. finance, HR and legal to ensure compliance/best practice.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Officer to deliver a high quality HR administration service to our Central Team. From onboarding new staff to managing payroll changes, absence records, compliance reports, and HR queries this is a varied and fast paced role supporting our wider HR strategy.

You will play a vital part in ensuring data accuracy, safeguarding compliance, and a positive colleague experience across the employee lifecycle.

What you will be doing : 

• Coordinating onboarding and pre-employment checks for new joiners
• Preparing contracts, payroll changes and issuing HR letters
• Maintaining up to date HR records, trackers and reports
• Managing the Single Central Record and absence recording
• Supporting line managers with  induction, probation tracking and HR queries
• Acting as the first point of contact for the central HR inbox and providing advisory support to Central Team colleagues
• Produce various documents, including reports, briefing papers, , and presentations, using data to support the Senior HR team's strategic needs.
• Provide support for annual audits, which includes collecting data, managing data requests and deadlines, and liaising with auditors to ensure all requirements are met.
• Oversee the administrative preparation for HR meetings, including creating agendas and presentations, travel arrangements and meeting materials
• Coordinate various trust-wide HR initiatives and cross-functional projects, spanning areas like surveys, audits, policy development, and document management.

The role

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a key operational role within the finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
