What you'll do:

Payroll

Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other 3rd parties (as appropriate) on all matters with regard to Payroll processes, controls and systems
Act as liaison with MHR, HR department and Business Systems team on all areas of the payroll.

HR Admin

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate

We are seeking a Pipeline and Contract Support Coordinator to support future sustainability, growth and development for Refuge within the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector.  You will work as part of a dynamic Development Team, developing and coordinating our pipeline of new opportunities, and provide contract support for the grants and contracts that are held in the Development Team.

The post holder will be influential in securing new services and retaining existing services, which result in positive and lasting change for women and their children. Your role will primarily entail horizon scanning for new opportunities, maintaining a pipeline to monitor all relevant opportunities nationally, tracking commissioning trends, and ensuring that the team have all the relevant information required to assess new opportunities and make recommendations to Refuge’s Senior Leadership Team. You will also be required to support the collection, analysis and submission of the KPI data returns for the grants and contracts held within the Development Team.

We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families in Brent. This is a great opportunity for someone with parenting experience to support new dads at a critical time in their parenting journey.

The Dad Matters Coordinator will support dads with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to services. Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker’s post

The Manna Day Centre is a drop-in Centre for homeless and vulnerably housed single men and women. It is run by a team of project workers, under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to service users 7 days a week, 8.30am– 1.30pm. The working week for this post is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm each day.

The Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker must have a commitment to homeless people, which includes acceptance and respect. Responsibilities are shared among the team according to needs, skills and aptitudes. The annual salary is negotiable (depending on your experience) ranging from £33,775 to £41,359. About the role:

This is an exciting front-of-house role. As receptionist you will be responsible for greeting every young person as they arrive and ensuring they leave safely. Over the past 8 years, Friends of the Earth has run a successful campaign leadership building programme with diverse young people in Further Education colleges and youth work settings across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The programme, My World My Home, recruits and supports teams of young people to take their first steps in building power in their community and leading their own environmental justice campaigns.

The young people we work with often face marginalisation and they are all new to campaigning and learning about environmental justice. Following our one-year programme our alumni have gone on to become spokespeople in national media, the Welsh Government and the UK Parliament, they have led their own campaigns, and they have become involved with national youth movements for environmental justice.

Key Skills and Attributes:

As a Youth Campaign Coach you will be responsible for delivering our programme in two locations in south Wales, leading face-to-face training and workshops with young people and supporting them as a group and 1-2-1 to build their skills and deliver their campaign actions. It is an exciting time to start this role as we are looking for new partnerships with youth organisations and are exploring embedding My World My Home into Friends of the Earth Cymru community campaigns. We especially welcome candidates who are well networked within south Wales communities to support these new groups.

A background in Youth Work or youth campaigning and a working understanding of the causes and impact of marginalisation (particularly that experienced by racialised, working class and disabled youth) will be essential for this role. Knowledge of community organising approaches would also be helpful.

This role is based in Cardiff to allow for travel via public transport to the My World My Home groups two days a week. However, applications from those living outside the Cardiff area will be considered for the right candidate. Location: Ideally hybrid between home and London office with a minimum of two days per week (or 40% of month) in the office, with less time in office also considered

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week with flexible working options fully supported, including condensed hours and job sharing

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Lead on the implementation of the new digital strategy, to support the delivery of mission priorities across the organisation
• Influence senior leaders to both develop in their confidence digital and champion digital transformation across the territory
• Lead and manage the Digital team ensuring that: objectives are successfully delivered, high performing team culture is embedded, and that employee wellbeing is at the top of your agenda
• Be responsible for development and oversight of the AI roadmap for the organisation, including an AI policy and implementation of AI in an ethical framework across the territory, in collaboration with IT and other business partners
• Work within the culture of The Salvation Army as a church and as a charity in both a responsive and opportunistic way, successfully working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, responding to the external environment and offering digital advice and solutions
• Be the strategic lead on the effective selection and use of digital channels for the organisation, orchestrating execution of campaigns and communications through digital to meet objectives
• Ensure product ownership and governance of key digital platforms to ensure continuous development, great UX and high availability by overseeing agencies, suppliers, platform providers to ensure objectives are met efficiently
• Collaborate with fundraising to enable them to meet targets through digital channels to deliver income growth and to meet digital specific income targets
• Be responsible for managing the Digital budget, allocating cost centres across digital activity including setting, monitoring, forecasting, and providing financial reporting as required
• Lead a culture of systematic learning and improvement; drive the use of digital analysis tools, data, results and the deployment of this in all aspects of digital development and lead on overarching programme to upskill the organisation on digital and AI, including bringing senior leaders on board
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current digital and charity (digital) trends, technology and best practice through networking, attending conferences and horizon scanning
• Lead and be accountable for ensuring that all relevant digital regulatory, ethical and compliance requirements are met

• Extensive and demonstrable experience of leading and managing digital strategy at a senior level within a complex organisation
• Experience of developing and leading a digital team and the successful implementation of major digital change, transformation and AI
• A demonstrable passion for digital, with subject matter expertise and up to date knowledge of the charity digital market, current trends in the digital space and best practice platforms and techniques across digital communications, fundraising, AI, marketing and infrastructure
• Proven excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees and teams, identify and nurture talent and manage performance effectively to deliver team as well as organisational objectives
• Proven experience of leading multiple cross functional workstreams with a typical 5-10-year time horizon, with proven project management skills and the ability to maximise the impact of available resources
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior level and inspire, engage, build relationships and negotiate between internal and external stakeholders with a high level of diplomacy
• Proven experience of leveraging digital agencies or in house teams for digital channels such as website, email systems, digital advertising
• A strong understanding and experience of implementing relevant regulatory and compliance requirements related to digital and AI
• The ability and willingness to work within and be empathic with the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission
