Job Summary

The Development Manager will be a dynamic and experienced fundraiser with strong technical skills in grant and funding solicitation, management and stewardship across Crisis Action’s current donor targets including major foundations, governments, and High Net Wealth Individuals (HNWI). They will serve as the anchor of a newly configured fundraising team designed to support Crisis Action to nurture its existing donors and secure the next generation of support for its ground-breaking work.

This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in our outreach, proposals, reporting and communication to drive resource mobilisation that is essential for the organisation’s financial sustainability at a time when our distinct model and way of working is needed more than ever.

Principal responsibilities

Donor engagement and communications 

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day engagement with current and prospective foundation, government and individual donors by members of the Crisis Action team
• Represent the organisation vis-à-vis donor representatives 
• Support HNWI donor benefits structure and cultivation plans
• Prepare compelling and timely donor reports, donor updates, letters of receipt and other outreach materials in collaboration with finance and campaign teams.

Grant management and oversight 

• Ensuring timely and skilled drafting, consultation and sign off of high-quality grant proposals 
• Timely acknowledgement of all contributions and compliance with donor requirements
• Preparation of high-quality proposal budgets and financial reports for donors in compliance with grant specifications and deadlines, in close cooperation with the Finance Team
• Review all grant agreements and monitor/ensure the organization's adherence to its contractual commitments. 

Strategic vision and guidance: 

• Provide strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer on short- and long-term fundraising strategies and broader resource mobilisation initiatives to ensure our fundraising strategy and its implementation helps achieve organisational goals
• Set fundraising targets and produce periodic funding forecasts in consultation with members of the team.

Research and intelligence: 

• Carry out donor research and provide strategic insights and donor related updates and background information to relevant colleagues.
• Monitor and ensure a solid pipeline of donor prospects

Team coordination and collaboration 

• Ensure that there is a clear workplan that anticipates what has to happen when to guide team resource allocation and workload management
• Ensure effective and efficient processes of gathering and sharing information across the team to support timely donor engagement and stewardship with clear protocols on the cadence of team calls and written updates

Communications 

• Ensuring effective and timely communications to donors, Crisis Action’s board and team

Data and Systems Management 

• Sustain, manage and where possible further develop the relevant administrative infrastructure, including grant tracking and reporting systems, Salesforce contact database, events calendars, contact lists, donor profiles, website and annual report donor acknowledgement lists and meeting minutes 

Job Specifications 

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development within the non-profit or international advocacy sector
• A proven track record of engaging with foundations and government officials to secure and manage grants
• Demonstrated ability to forge new donor partnerships, and a track record of bringing in new revenue
• Strong understanding of government and foundation funding landscapes with at least some familiarity with differences between them and the stewardship of major gifts from individual giving 
• Experience in drafting compelling fundraising proposals, reports and donor updates for a variety of donors – foundations, governments and individuals 
• Strong all-round communication and storytelling skills
• Experience producing a range of communications materials for different audiences

Salary & Benefits 

Salary: We have set bands for the salary range for all positions at Crisis Action. The baseline of our salary range for this position is £40K per annum. 

Benefits: 25 annual leave days (30 days after 3 years). Up to 6% contribution to pension. 3-month long service leave after 6 years and one-month sabbatical leave in year 10. CA additionally offers an annual inflationary increase, and 2% salary increase in year 2, 4 and 8 subject to availability of funds.

The Role

Role Overview and Main Responsibilities

One of the main areas of this role is to improve the Digital Marketing systems of the college. This involves managing multiple projects and supervising other team members within their roles. The postholder will also work alongside the CEO to develop and implement a new marketing strategy to enable ANCC to achieve its vision and mission globally. This will include shaping the Marketing and Communications team to support the stakeholder journey for students, partners and donors.

• Enhancing the digital systems of the college for the purposes of marketing

· Generating leads for new applicants, students, partners and donations to the college, optimising our efficiency, and maximising opportunities for engagement.

• Manage the website development project which includes the improvement of the college website for marketing purposes, and improving the User Experience (UXP) ensuring that it is optimised for search engines
• Manage team members for the maintenance and development of the college’s website, SEO, user journey experience, and website assets
• Support and collaborate with the Social Media officer to ensure digital marketing across our platforms, including LinkedIn for digital community engagement.

About the role:

The Non-Crimes Assessment Worker will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. They will work within the team to make proactive contact attempts with a high volume of new referrals. Their main focus will be contacting the police cases that may otherwise not get referred into the service. Once this contact is established complete initial needs and risk assessments. They shall provide initial advice and crisis safety planning before the case is allocated to an IDVA/caseworker or referred to the appropriate partner agency for ongoing support. They will provide this high quality support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from the age of 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice, civil remedies, housing and related matters.

About You:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and children. Be skilled in risk management and safety planning and is experienced in domestic violence advocacy, who has worked with a high volume of clients who have complex and multiple needs. You will have a countenance that remains calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis and you will have experience working within safeguarding procedures.

The Unifrog platform

Over the last 12 years, the Unifrog platform has grown enormously from its starting point as a simple tool to help students pick their UK university courses and apprenticeships. It now helps young people from 4 years old up to explore their interests, record the great things they’ve done, compare every post-16 and post-18 course in the UK and every undergraduate programme taught in English in the world, find and organise work experience, and draft their application materials. The platform also helps teachers and career advisers to guide students every step of the way, makes it easy for parents to explore the platform via their own accounts, and helps employer and university recruitment teams to interact directly with students. 

We have a long list of exciting projects for the platform, always aiming to achieve our mission. We are looking for someone to join Unifrog’s team to help us continually improve the platform’s existing tools, and to also develop new ones. 

What you’ll do

You’ll work on improving the platform itself, from how things work behind the scenes, to the user experience and how the tools work and look.

This role does not involve coding - instead you’ll develop and design clear ideas and plans with Unifrog’s two co-founders, and with other colleagues involved in platform development, and then you’ll work with our lead programmer to make them happen.

You will become an expert in:

• The needs of all our different user types, including students, teachers, school groups, universities, employers, and parents

• How to navigate the platform as a user of each type

• How the Unifrog platform works behind the scenes

You’ll be part of the team that:

• Collates feedback on the platform, deciding which changes to move ahead with, and how
   

• Comes up with and designs ideas for platform improvements

We are looking for an independent worker with design skills, who is a great problem solver and is motivated to find an elegant solution, whatever the issue.

Design

You’ll be producing the designs that go to our lead programmer, and which he’ll use as the basis for his work. You should have experience with UX design, and we can accommodate whichever application you prefer to work with, eg Figma or Sketch.

We’ve developed and plan to keep developing a large range of tools on the platform, like:

• Quizzes

• Tools to make large banks of information easy to search and understand

• Tools to simplify complex workflows

• Integrations with other platforms

• Document creation that involves input from multiple people

• Data visualisation

The problems we come up against can involve:

• Different users handling the same processes in different ways from each other

• Different groups of users having competing wants

• A data provider changing the way they structure their data

• Users not completing an important action on the platform

• A change on one tool having a knock-on effect on several other tools

• Users expressing their needs and ideas in uncertain or ambiguous ways
   

Your challenge is to design concrete solutions that work for everyone, which are as simple as possible to implement, and which are immediately understandable by a user who’s never seen them before.

Independence and initiative
 

You will work closely with Unifrog’s two co-founders. While colleagues from the wider team will be involved in coming up with ideas and telling you what they need, you will be the only team member, apart from the co-founders, in the product development team.

Because Unifrog’s co-founders work remotely and are also involved in other areas of the business, this will require you to be a good independent worker:

Job Purpose

Within the National Influencing & Networks team, the Digital Communications Officer is responsible for delivering core communications functions. The postholder will work directly with the Director of National Influencing and Networks to plan communications activity in line with organisational objectives, and to deliver planned, regular and ad-hoc outputs. They will also work closely with the Area Engagement and Partnerships Team. It is desirable for the postholder to bring innovative video editing and production expertise, along with strong digital content creation skills, to enhance Clinks’ communications reach and impact.

· Contribute to the continued development of communications outputs of relevance to the voluntary sector working in criminal justice

· Deliver Clinks’ communications functions to ensure our work and the voluntary sector is promoted in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Skills / Experience Required
 

• Senior leadership experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or commercial development, ideally within the education, learning, or professional membership sector
• Deep understanding of the Further Education and skills landscape, including workforce challenges and sector priorities
• Demonstrable success in consultative, solution-based selling to senior leaders in colleges, training providers, or adult education organisations
• Experience designing and delivering people-focused solutions such as membership, CPD, or leadership development offers
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams, with a collaborative and coaching approach
• Skilled in pipeline management, forecasting, and performance accountability, with strong CRM and data insight capabilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, able to engage credibly with education sector stakeholders
• Motivated by social purpose and sector impact; outward-facing and relationship-driven

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with National Literacy Trust to recruit for a Brand and Media Partnerships Lead. A core position within the National Year of Reading Team, this is such an exciting role for someone whose skills include creativity, strategic planning and delivery, as well as high level relationship management ability.

Within your role you will build and deliver a range of public facing partnerships designed to bring the National Year of Reading to life within key audiences across the UK, driving both awareness and behaviour change. You will build on the existing foundations of the campaign plan to conceive and deliver a series of partnerships - with media owners, brands and others - which have a focus on public-facing activations designed to make the National Year of Reading memorable and impactful, and to and ensure it resonates across society.

National Year of Reading, Brand and Media Partnerships Lead

Contract: one year fixed term contract from early 2026
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid role between home and London office, where you will be able to work regularly from home around the requirements of your role for in person meetings or travel. You will have significant contact with stakeholders which will require you to be in London regularly. This is likely to be at least weekly.

Core responsibilities within the position will include:

* Working with creative and media agencies, as well as with internal teams to lead on the development and delivery of high impact cultural moments and events
* Secure media and platform support including creator led campaigns and inventory to reach general and target audiences
* Effectively manage high profile partner relationships throughout the year, from inception through delivery and post partnership evaluation
* Work with the fundraising team as well as other internal teams to source, vet and secure new partnerships, including developing partner proposal, decks and reports
* Work with the National Year of Reading team, as well as with key stakeholders across the organisation, to establish a clear framework within which campaign partnerships can operate
* Ensure the partnership strategy is aligned to the goals of the National Year of Reading, prioritising sectors that deliver the most value for the campaign
* Work alongside the research and evaluation team to support the campaign evaluation and reporting

* Campaign experience from either client or agency side (marketing, media or creative)
* Track record leveraging pro bono and in-kind support to deliver creative executions
* Experience working on a range of digital and traditional media partnerships
* Track record of delivering public facing moments that reach broad audiences and gather national PR coverage
* Relationship management skills all levels including at a senior, cross sector level
* Experience of developing and delivering brand or creative partnerships to reach young people, parents, communities, or schools
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver complex, collaborative projects end-to-end
* Effective communicator able to engage varied audiences
* Project management experience across multiple stakeholders
* Able to adapt to demands of a short-term role, picking up on existing projects while also working on new prospects and delivery from the start
