We're seeking a Scheme Manager to join our Specialist Housing team covering maternity for approx. 12 months (until the end of January 2027).

This is a multi-site role across three Retirement Living Schemes for over 55s in Wigston, Leicestershire:

Scheme Manager – Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £26,929 per annum 
Hours: 35 hours per week

Covering: 

• Jasmine Court, South Wigston, LE18 4TR (25 hours per week)

Our places are leasehold schemes where residents live independently, and Midland Heart manage housing/property related services.

As a Scheme Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme, including, but not limited to:

• Delivering an excellent housing management service by ensuring that repairs, grounds maintenance and environmental services are coordinated effectively and delivered to a high standard.
• Ensuring the scheme is safe for residents by completing regular compliance checks including health & safety, building safety & fire safety, in line with regulatory requirements.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with our residents, interacting with them regularly to ensure their needs are understood and key messages are delivered.

Our ideal candidate? We're looking for a person who is able to engage and communicate with a variety of people, including residents, contractors and colleagues, who is passionate about delivering a brilliant service. Your application will also demonstrate:

• Previous experience of working in a customer facing role – experience of working with older people is preferred but not essential.

Purpose of the job

Thames21 is seeking an energetic, experienced and committed person to lead our team of Catchment Partnership hosts. This role will involve overseeing the development of our portfolio of 10 hosted and co-hosted Catchment Partnerships across a diverse landscape of urban and rural river catchments spanning London and the wider Thames Basin.

Each partnership is unique, and we pride ourselves in developing each according to the local partners’ vision and as is appropriate for the character of the area and river. Our primary aim is to deliver the Catchment Based Approach and tangible on-the-ground improvements that achieve clean, healthy rivers which deliver social benefits for our communities.

The successful candidate will have operational experience at catchment level as well as management experience. The candidate will take a strategic overview of all catchment partnerships and guide our team of Catchment Partnership hosts and officers, enabling the enhanced delivery of the four priority themes: –

Stakeholder and community engagement as part of active, delivery focused partnerships.
Project identification and development to support delivery of catchment plans, sub-catchment plans and Thames21’s 5-year plan.
Successful fundraising for delivery of river catchment improvement projects.
Knowledge sharing, to bring people together in a way of working that is inclusive, collaborative, cross boundary and catchment wide.

Finally, the role will take a lead in ensuring the Thames21 Catchment Officer/host role is resiliently funded by working closely with partner organisations to increase investment in catchment partnerships to deliver healthy rivers and catchments.

Key responsibilities

· Work with Thames21’s Catchment Partnership Officers/hosts to develop their Catchment Partnership networks and ensure each is delivering against clear catchment and sub catchment action plans.

· Lead on the administration and reporting of Catchment Partnerships programme and line management of the Catchment Partnership team.

• Previous experience of applying building safety practices such as health & safety, building safety & fire safety checks.
• The ability to manage your time and workload effectively and be able to easily adapt to changing demands.

We are looking for a creative and driven Philanthropy Manager for a well loved health charity to manage a pool of mid value donors and secure four and five-figure gifts whilst stewarding donors.

This is a hybrid role with two days a week in the London office.

The Charity
A passionate charity who aims to create access to world-leading healthcare, delivered by a thriving workforce and driven by medical research that has a global impact. They have a Fundraising team of approx 20 people securing c£4m+ last year. The Role
Lead and deliver a mid-level giving retention and recruitment strategy, for donors giving between £1,000 and £50,000 each year, working with colleagues and senior volunteers to understand potential opportunities for uplift in giving.
Manage the day-to-day delivery of mid-level donor activities, including tracking renewal cycles, supporting donor journeys, and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Support the development and delivery of engaging events, and bespoke communications including personalised letters, invitations, proposals, and thank-you communications, ensuring mid-level donors feel valued and connected to the impact of their giving.
Ensure that mid-level donors have the best possible experience of giving to the charity, by engaging with colleagues on the development of appeals to this audience, stewarding those giving at this level, and attracting new supporters
Work with the public fundraising team to thank mid-level donors to fundraising appeals, creating updates and reports, and providing an excellent supporter experience to maximise the opportunity for a longer-term relationship beyond specific appeals.
Support the fundraising activities of the wider philanthropy & campaigns team through identifying donors who may give major gifts or be interested in legacy giving.

The Candidate
Experience of securing four and five figure gifts from individual donors.

Experience in fundraising and donor development delivering an excellent service on the phone, in person, and in written communications.

Experience of creating high quality written documents, such as tailored letters, proposals, slide decks, or other professional materials.

As Project Manager for My Nature Play, you will play a pivotal role in delivering one of LtL’s most ambitious and exciting Early Years projects. You will coordinate a national delivery team from our England or Scotland office, manage staff and LtL accredited network, support evaluation, and ensure that the project achieves measurable impact for practitioners, children and families. 

You will need:  

• Experience of managing large-scale, multi-site or multi-partner projects (ideally within education, environment or charity sectors).

• A passion for the importance of Early Years.

• Strong understanding of project planning, delivery and reporting processes.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple priorities.

• Experience of monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences.

• Strong partnership and relationship-building skills.

• Experience of working / qualification in yearly years education, Family work or play work

• Commitment to the highest level of safeguarding and a clear DBS or PVG check.

• Ability to travel across the UK, including overnight stays, and work occasional evenings.

Working within the Development and Outreach Department, (responsible for fundraising, marketing and communications) the Partnerships Team crafts and steward collaborations with companies and brands, in the UK and globally, to generate significant income, raise awareness of WDC brand and work and advocate for positive action.

The Partnerships manager:

- is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy, alongside the corporate engagement lead, to deliver an agreed annual income target, across charitable and trading activities and facilitate valuable in-kind support for WDC.

- is required to expertly research, develop, manage, and enhance relationships with new and existing partners across a diverse range of sectors.

- will be an adept communicator, capable of thinking on their feet, delivering inspiring pitches with authority and securing buy in from colleagues across WDC, and external stakeholders.

- will lead a varied and exciting area of fundraising, covering a diverse range of activities and opportunities which involves balancing the needs of WDC colleagues with external partners.
