About the role

FLEX is looking for a passionate advocate with a good understanding of the UK political system, of labour abuse and/or exploitation and human trafficking in the UK, and demonstrable experience of coalition working and building relationships with key stakeholders working in the anti-trafficking, employment rights, and/or immigration sectors. This recruitment comes at an exciting and challenging time for our work at the intersection of employment rights and immigration policy. This role will inform and support our work to influence and improve law, policy and practice affecting worker in high-risk sectors in the UK.

In this role, you will lead on FLEX’s advocacy at the London level and coordinate the joint research advocacy and project work of FLEX networks and coalitions. These currently include the Labour Exploitation Advisory Group (LEAG) and the Taskforce on Victims of Trafficking in Immigration Detention, two networks made of expert organisations directly supporting people who have experienced or are at risk of exploitation. Above all this role requires someone with real passion and commitment to FLEX’s work to end labour exploitation and an excitement for working in a small, dynamic team.

Join Dementia UK as a Academy Learning Support Officer and be part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of families affected by dementia through the learning and development of Admiral Nurses.

Working closely with the Admiral Nurse Academy Support Manager and wider team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality learning opportunities through our learning management system, Blackboard. This includes assisting the Virtual Learning Environment Design Officer in designing and building online courses and modules, supporting with storyboarding, content organisation and the development of interactive activities. You will use digital tools such as Articulate, Vyond and Padlet to help create engaging, accessible e-learning materials. You will also contribute to planning and progress meetings with the Academy team and subject matter experts.

You will help maintain our external-facing Dementia UK Academy platform, currently in development, by managing content updates, registrations, learner queries and event support. As first-line support for learners, you will also troubleshoot basic technical issues.

In addition, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of Admiral Nurse Academy activities such as webinars, masterclasses and both internal and external online events. This will include assisting with scheduling, coordinating logistics, updating project trackers and communicating with Admiral Nurses, learners and key stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience supporting the design and delivery of online learning content, with a good working knowledge of platforms such as Blackboard and digital tools including Articulate, Padlet and Vyond. You will be confident working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders and have project coordination or management skills, along with the ability to use or a willingness to learn project management software.

 What the job involves
We’re looking for a Clinical Services Senior Officer to join our Clinical Services Team on a fixed term role covering maternity leave.

Our Clinical Services team provide direct information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer or prostate problems. This includes our Specialist Nurse team, who run a service available over telephone, email, WhatsApp and Live Chat. We also have a Risk Information Service providing information to undiagnosed men concerned about their risk of prostate cancer.

As a Clinical Services Senior Officer, you’ll play an integral role in running these services, making sure everything’s efficient and accessible to the people who need us. We receive around 15,000 contacts every year, and you’ll help make sure they get the best possible experience.

Managing the day-to-day delivery of the service means organising rotas, planning resources and making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll line manage our Risk Information Officer and support the growth of our Risk Information Service too.

You’ll also take responsibility for reporting and analysing service data, identifying trends and working with the Head of Support Services to shape improvements. Clinical governance will be a key part of the role, making sure our services remain safe, high quality and in line with the right policies. You’ll also keep our clinical policies and processes up to date, manage GDPR compliance, and act as a key contact for the team, both within the charity and with external partners.

Alongside this, you’ll help promote our services by contributing to promotional plans, social media activity and website updates, making sure more people know we’re here to support them.

What we want from you

About The Role

Following a successful VE Day, we’re looking for a Remembrance Events Officer to join our team at The Royal British Legion on a fixed-term contract until December 2025. In this role, you’ll help plan and deliver key Remembrance events, including significant upcoming milestones like VJ Day. You’ll support the coordination of logistics, manage timelines, and work closely with the Remembrance Events Manager to keep everything on track. A key part of the role will also involve monitoring budgets to ensure spending is carefully tracked and reported throughout.

Job Purpose

• To support the Food Education team with the organisation and delivery of all food education programmes

• To recruit and manage volunteers and placement students

Key Tasks

• Recruit, manage and brief volunteers to pursue the aims of School Food Matters. This includes matching volunteers to sessions to make best use of their talents

• Manage university placement students and continue to develop our relationship with their respective universities

• Provide project support to the Senior Partnerships and Programmes Officer in both the office and on-site to deliver SFM’s food education programmes

• Deliver marketing workshops, assemblies and other programme-related sessions as needed

• Manage the We Can Cook programme in London, and oversee the Food Teacher’s calendar

• Ensure Airtable is kept up to date with volunteer data and session information

• Book and manage coaches for school trips, liaising with the coach company and the SFM team on the ground

• Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures

• The Volunteer Coordinator will also undertake any other tasks relevant to the affairs of SFM that may arise from time to time.  Therefore, being flexible and approaching the job with an open and positive mindset is essential!

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Strategic Funding Team and colleagues across the organisation to build a deep understanding of Scouting—how it works, the challenges it faces, and the innovative ways we overcome them. You’ll also play a key role in delivering our small trusts mailing programme, helping to generate vital income from smaller trusts and foundations.

As the Strategic Funding Project Officer, your Key Responsibilities will include:

Process management and enquiries; this will include managing grant and corporate donations across the different areas working with legal and finance to manage legal grant agreements, contracting, preparing invoicing and funder queries. You will be the first point of contact for enquiries from Local Scouting,  Funded Project Managers, Trusts, Foundations and Corporate partners.

Database Management: This includes managing the pipeline, updating records, creating a variety of monthly internal reports, monitoring timelines and investigating any communication queries from funders. You will ensure all due diligence processes are recorded and segment data to maximise Trust, Foundation and Corporate income.

Skills & Abilities

• Works effectively with those within the team, the wider organisation and external stakeholders
• Recognises the benefits of empowering and collaborating with volunteers and young people, and can demonstrate the empathy, ability to give and receive constructive criticism and political acumen to do this well.

Knowledge & Experience

• Able to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of managing grants and contracts

• Comfortable with quickly understanding and navigating internal governance and sign-off processes, and seeking efficiencies where possible.
