Job description

Victim Support is looking for a full-time Domestic Abuse Practitioner (DAP) and Triage Manager, to be based in either the Stafford office or the Stoke office

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.

New Era is the new holistic Domestic Abuse service operating across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent delivered by Victim Support. We offer free and confidential support for victims, perpetrators and their families affected by domestic abuse.

The main duties of the role are to manage and develop the DA service and triage staff in providing safe, high-quality and consistent frontline services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the whole service is responsive to client need and has the resilience to cope with demand and change.

To be successful in the role you will have an excellent understanding of domestic and sexual abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available to those clients. You are also required to have experience of supervising, managing and motivating a team.
