We’re seeking a tenacious individual, whether a recent graduate or someone with one to three years of experience in a communications/marketing role, to join our expanding Marketing and Communications Team. This role offers an ideal opportunity to capture compelling stories and amplify our charity’s voice while further developing your career in our dynamic team.

Reporting to our Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the Communications Strategy, crafting content across a range of platforms including The Pilgrims’ Magazine, our website, newsletters and social media.

Strong writing skills are an absolute must for this role, as is a keen eye for design and high levels of digital literacy. As an adept communicator with excellent attention to detail, you’ll be able to turn your hand to anything, from magazine features to short form videos, keeping abreast of the latest trends.

A natural people person with innate curiosity, you’ll embrace opportunities to visit our care homes and housing schemes and capture the stories of life with us – not just those of the older people who live there, but also those of our brilliant staff and volunteers. You’ll then devise creative ways to share these stories so they connect with our different audiences, from prospective residents to new supporters and beyond.

A self-starter, you’ll need to be able to work independently within agreed brand guidelines and with minimal supervision. You’ll also need to be highly organised, ensuring that deadlines are met and that content lands in a timely manner. Through analytics, you’ll monitor engagement, using these insights to inform our evolving content plan and drive growth.

As well as creating compelling content for our core communications platforms, you’ll also provide valuable support to our ambitious press plan, helping to amplify the voice of Pilgrims’ Friend Society in local and national media.

The role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support the Executive Director and senior leadership team to become more effective and strategic in their work. They will provide support to the leadership and governance of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, Director of Finance and Operations and other team members as required to provide high-quality administrative and communications support to the organisation. The Executive Administrator will build strong relationships across GGF’s global team. The Executive Administrator will perform key support and clerical functions - preparing correspondence, research and briefings, handling confidential information, and taking notes at meetings. They will also support the management of large, often cross-functional organisation-wide initiatives, bringing together important stakeholders to help drive decisions. They will be responsible for calendar management (arranging conference calls among vast time zones)  and travel logistics. 

In the present accountability structures, the Executive Administrator reports to the Executive Director while building and working in more collaborative ways.

The candidate profile.

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment. 

They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.

Our accredited programmes are unique and attractive to young people who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. Taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in just one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end. Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to wellbeing support with the emphasis on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

This is a really exciting opportunity to play a key role in Snow Camp’s development in London, with programmes running from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempsted. Purpose of the Financial and Management Accountant role is to:

We are seeking to appoint a Financial and Management Accountant – Commercial and Projects for the Museum and its trading company (RAFMEL), as part of a small finance team. This is a varied role, encompassing a wide range of financial responsibilities, and the successful candidate will act as business partner to the RAFMEL commercial teams and Museum project leads, providing reporting and analysis to support decision-making, developing monthly performance reports to monitor progress and investigate variances, whilst also being responsible for day-to-day financial operations.

The successful candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the small finance team and build relationships with non-finance heads of departments. Key responsibilities of our Financial and Management Accountant include:

• Taking responsibility for preparation and first review of monthly management accounts (including income and expenditure statement, balance sheet, cashflow statement, funds summary, 3 salary summary) and performance reports for RAFMEL, in an accurate and timely fashion, including any associated commentary and key performance indicators (KPI)
• Being responsible for accurate recording of all income and expenditure associated with RAFMEL and the Museum’s major projects
• Reconciliation of daily takings sheets reports from both sites and accurate monthly reporting of income by activity
• Preparation and posting of all journals for RAFMEL, such as accruals, prepayments deferred income, salaries and payroll, intercompany transactions
• Developing and providing performance reports to monitor progress, investigate variances and update forecasts for major projects for the Museum & RAFMEL as required, taking ownership of the processes required

Poetic Unity is a Brixton based charity founded in 2015 that provides support and services for children and young people aged 10-30 years old across the UK. Our vision is to help young people find their voice, feel valued in society and to empower them to reach their highest potential. We use poetry as a tool to support young people's mental health, education, personal development, physical health, and community cohesion.

Position: Chief Operating Officer

Responsible to: Chief Executive

Location: Office based in Brixton, London. 

Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time), due to the nature of our work regular evening and weekend work will be required with this role.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract type: 3 years, fixed term (extension subject to performance and securing funding.)

Person Specification:

- Experience in senior management roles, preferably within the charity sector.

- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organisational goals and objectives.

- Proven track record of effectively managing programmes and services, including programme development, implementation, and evaluation.

- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and revenue generation. Including proven success in grant writing, fundraising, and partnership development.

- Strong background in operational management, including process improvement, organisational development, and risk management.

- Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and advocacy, with the ability to represent Poetic Unity effectively at various levels.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent leadership and team management skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to manage multiple tasks with high level of integrity, professionalism and resilience.

Job summary

1. To implement and develop The Princess Alexandra Hospitals’ Charity fundraising strategy to maximise charitable funds that will enhance the care for The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust’s patients and people.

2. To develop and fund a charity team and lead on fundraising goals.

3. To develop relationships with, and secure financial support from, key high-value prospects, including corporate partners.

4. To establish, build and maintain strong relationships with networks and partnerships in order to maximise fundraising activity.

5. To manage and support all trust charitable fundraising activities including reporting developments and progress to the charitable funds committee.

Purpose of the Role:

Bow Foodbank is proud  to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. This will be done by inviting specialist partners to offer their services at our centre, as well as training and overseeing our volunteers in signposting guests to services that will help them build their resilience. We want to do this in a way that builds dignity so will aim to follow up with them the impact of any referrals and how they have improved guest wellbeing. Our aim is to limit the length of time guests depend on any foodbank and increase the community’s access to support services and community groups.

This role will train and oversee the work of our volunteers in signposting guests to high quality services. They will be responsible for holding guest voice strategy and will feed into the senior leadership team the opinions of our guests so we can continually improve the service we offer them.

This role will build partnerships with organisations to create support pathways. We want to maximise use of our building by creating a support ‘marketplace’ inviting partners into the foodbank and increasing guest access to the broadest range of services.

At The National Brain Appeal, we support Queen Square, one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions, to fund pioneering research, innovative treatments and world-class facilities. These include stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

The National Brain Appeal is going through a period of exceptional growth and organisational change. This is a newly created role and offers the right individual genuine ownership and autonomy, and the opportunity to shape the future direction of the grants programme, while leading on a variety of other improvement projects within the charity. About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is responsible for delivery across the breadth of the partnerships pipeline.  An estimated 50% of the role will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporates and their foundations to meet fundraising targets.  The remaining 50% of partnership work will be dedicated to delivering an excellent standard of partnership management to several longstanding existing supporters, working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to maximise their impact.

As our corporate supporters can be powerful partners in the delivery of our advocacy and communications goals you will be confident working with colleagues internally to translate campaign plans into engagement opportunities for private sector partners. You will also be able to co-ordinate colleagues to meet new business deadlines and to ensure agreed partnership deliverables are achieved.

This role sits within our Philanthropy and Partnerships team of five, who focus on income generation through grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and individual giving and fundraising.  The post holder will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, as well as equipping Directors and our CEO to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate.  As a member of a comparatively small, highly ambitious team, there may, with time, be opportunities for the post holder to extend their experience beyond corporate partnerships, into other fundraising areas, should your skill set meet an identified need.

About you
You may be an established corporate fundraiser seeking a role where you can take on greater responsibility for managing your own pipeline of prospects and key partnerships.  Equally you may come from outside the sector and be able to offer clearly transferable experience of securing and developing partnerships (especially those with a “purpose” focus).

Whatever your background you will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and excited by the opportunity to think creatively about corporate partnerships that can enable Malaria No More UK’s unique advocacy and campaigning offer, with a clear goal to ending one of the world’s most significant and oldest killer diseases. 

You will also be able to demonstrate the good organisation needed for successful partnership management, and the attention to detail and strong communication skills needs to build relationships and prepare and deliver funding proposals and pitches.

DOTWUK have a fun and friendly finance team in a small, but high-performing function and are looking for a collaborative, experienced and energetic leader for the role of Head of Finance. 

In this exciting role, the successful candidate will provide the organisation with a timely, accurate and relevant financial management service by assuming day-to-day responsibility for the organisation’s accounting function, to enable the senior management team and the Board of Trustees to assess results and performance and make informed, strategic decisions, and ensure the organisation complies with statutory and corporate regulation and requirements. 

You will work closely with the treasurer, directors and managers to enable them to manage their programme finances and support them to report to donors and to devise sound plans for growth and sustainability. 

The UK chapter expects to grow income across all sources, including from institutions and foundations. You will play a critical role in maintaining and building on this success. 

You will also be responsible for and provide input from a financial and management perspective on strategic development and the general organisation-wide structure and management as part of the Senior Management Team.
