We’re hiring: A fixed term Gift Aid Officer. Location: Hybrid London Are you detail-focused, analytically minded, and have experience of working with Gift Aid?

MSF UK is looking for a Gift Aid Officer to be part of our Gift Aid team, helping unlock vital additional funding for our lifesaving medical work around the world. In this role, you’ll: Oversee the administration of Gift Aid, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, to maximise MSF UK’s income. Claim Gift Aid income across multiple income streams ensuring that MSF UK remains compliant with HMRC regulations. Support on delivering regular Gift Aid communications to supporters following HRMC best practice. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, ambitious team with a big impact. Job Purpose:

The primary role of the Gift Aid Officer is to oversee the management of Gift Aid Claims, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, within the Fundraising team. This includes reviewing the production and submission of MSF’s Gift Aid claims to HMRC each month via a 3rd party, preparing data and submissions for other types of tax efficient giving, such as Discretionary Trusts and identifying and implementing opportunities to maximise this income channel for MSF.

They are also the main point of contact for the Fundraising team, providing training and advice on Gift Aid, and maintaining relevant user guides and documentation. The Gift Aid Officer will also liaise directly with supporters on Gift Aid queries.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

• Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of HMRC’s Gift Aid Scheme and processes
• Considerable experience of Gift Aid management within a fundraising environment
• Experience of UK charity database systems, within a fundraising environment
• Experience of working with 3rd parties on Gift Aid claims and processes
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level including the ability to produce and manipulate pivot tables
• An excellent level of numeracy, combined with accuracy and an attention to detail is a must

Responsibilities 

Financial & Grant Coordination

• Support Epic’s bi-annual grantmaking process, including but not limited to drafting and distributing grant agreements and archiving documentation.

• Manage the process of financial reporting from Epic’s portfolio organisations, coordinating with the Operations and Programs teams to verify compliance with Epic’s reporting requirements.

• Assist with administrative monitoring of supported organisations, including data collection and documentation management.

• Process invoices and reimbursements, maintaining accurate payment trackers and supporting financial operations.

• Collect, organise, and archive invoices and accounting documentation to ensure financial compliance and efficient record keeping.

• Initiate bank transfers in the absence of the responsible person.

• Review donation records in Salesforce, help reconcile them with the accounting records, and ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly archived.
   

HR admin & Payroll Management

• Maintain and update HR policies, including the Employee Handbook, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations in the UK and France.

• Manage employment contract administration for employees, interns, volunteers, and consultants or any other type of contracts across France and the UK, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks.

• Manage payroll for France and the UK directly through the PayFit payroll platform, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with local employment and tax regulations.

• Coordinate relationships with external benefits and training partners (e.g. healthcare providers, occupational health department (France), and training bodies.

• Support managers with recruitment and onboarding processes across teams (distributing screening questionnaires, preparing onboarding plans, coordinating onboarding logistics, etc.).

• Manage administrative onboarding and offboarding for employees, interns, and volunteers, ensuring a smooth and well-structured integration and offboarding process. 

• Help organize team trainings and monitor individual staff trainings.

• Manage and update workplace risk assessments.

• Help manage all other obligatory processes stipulated by the labour code.

Operations & Administrative Management

• Conduct research and manage procurement processes for administrative goods and services.

• Maintain office supplies, services, and operational inventory, ensuring timely procurement and efficient management.

Position Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom 

• Proven professional experience within a startup or small non-profit/charity environment, demonstrating the ability to operate effectively in a fast-evolving international organisation.

• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with an impeccable attention to detail

• Good knowledge of HR administration and employment practices in international or multi-country environments

This role is critical to supporting a highly performing group of staff and trustees as we seek to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness. This role will sit within the Business Support Team, which is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and will be crucial in creating a revised HR strategy and ensuring that the organisation’s compliance with key statutory and regulatory requirements are maintained at all times. About the role

The role will be accountable for maximising the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs and will hold responsibility for the unit’s billing systems. It will also be responsible for private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing including through line management of the billing team. The post-holder will work very closely with legal, operations and administrative staff. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The post-holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children’s Rights and department heads in the successful maintenance of our relationship with the Legal Aid Agency. Where appropriate they will be deputising for the Managing Director on legal aid and financial matters.

The role would suit a highly organised and efficient legal, or a finance or billing professional with solid experience of legal practice and a deep understanding of the challenges of legal aid. Whilst candidates with direct experience of legal billing (and more specifically civil legal aid billing) are welcomed, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, this role could suit a highly experienced solicitor who appreciates the important role developing sustainable businesses plays in ensuring access to justice and who therefore wishes to move into practice and financial management. They will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. However, they will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of Education Law, Community Care Law and Immigration and Asylum Law.

Role Purpose

GDI Hub CIC is seeking an experienced PA/ Team Assistant to provide high-level support to its CEO and Academic Director as well as support the wider team.

The successful candidate will enable the CEO and Academic Director to be more effective by providing proactive administrative, communication, and operational support. The role will act as a key coordination point across the organisation, ensuring priorities are managed, diaries are coordinated, and that the CEO and Academic Director’s time is used strategically.

About the Role

The rapid rise and use of digital technology have permeated much of society and transformed the way many humans interact. There has been a broad array of research efforts, but the full implications - both positive and negative - on human physiology, psychology, behaviour, well-being and mental health remain unclear.  We believe there is an opportunity to help advance the research and the field of knowledge in this area. 

To this end, since mid-2024, HFF has established and will continue to grow a multi-year research portfolio in the UK and the US on the Effects of the Usage of Digital Technology on Brain Development, Social Behaviours and Mental Health in Children and Young People.  In 2025, we ran our first annual call and recently announced the outcome of these awards on our website.For our second annual funding round in 2026, we recently released an open call for proposals. 

As we continue to build our funding portfolio through annual funding calls, we are now looking for a Senior Funding Manager to join the small HFF Science Team in a permanent role. 

SUMMARY PURPOSE - WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND ACHIEVING

The Senior Funding Manager is a newly created role in the HFF Science Team.

You will work with the Director of Research and the Senior Programme Officer to administer the Foundation’s science portfolio of grants schemes, awarded grants and associated activities. You will manage and deliver the end-to-end grant application, review and award processes. You will act as a key point of contact for external liaison relating to the schemes. 

Working with the rest of the team, you will also help to develop and deliver events for Foundation grant holders. The role may require some domestic and international travel, including to meet grant holders for horizon scanning, monitoring and impact assessment purposes.

• Ensure effective post award grant management and continuous improvement, resolving complex queries, assessing change requests, monitoring compliance and progress, and contributing to process enhancements that support high quality funding operations. 
• Partake in monitoring and impact assessment purposes – annual reports, end of grant reports, etc.
• Liaise with other funding organisations, as appropriate, for example, on the operation of joint funding schemes.
• Contribute to the HFF Science’s wider activities, which may include developing and delivering events for HFF grant holders such as a mini conference or workshop. This may require some domestic and international travel.

Salary: £27,383 per annum (inclusive of £3,990 Southeast Weighting)

Location: Hybrid with 3 days in the London office (Patshull Road)

Working hours: Full time: 35 hours per week

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance and Office Administrator to assist with our financial transactions and ensure the smooth running of our office operations. The ideal candidate will be interested in learning  and finance and administrative functions and skills, have good organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Person Specification:

Skills and Experience 

• Education: Minimum of GCSEs in Mathematics and English or equivalent
• Experience: Some demonstrable administrative experience 
• Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Organisational Skills: Good multitasking abilities and attention to detail. 
• Communication Skills:  Good written and verbal communication skills. 
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions. 
• Confidentiality: Maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
