Location: The role is home based with LifeSkills delivery in person in the South West region of Yorkshire (ie, with delivery in areas such as, but not exclusive to, Sheffield, Doncaster and Leeds).

The LifeSkills programme offers groups of families the chance to come together to a trusted venue such as a children’s centre or community setting. As well as offering opportunities for families to spend quality time together and have access to healthy food, these sessions offer LifeSkills workshops for parents and carers to build their confidence, social networks, financial and employability skills. Examples include but are not limited to overcoming setbacks, managing debt, boosting confidence to return to work, CV writing, interview skills. The aims of the LifeSkills programme are to support participants to increase their confidence and 21st century skills, move closer to training/volunteering/employment, improve their social networks, and grow their confidence to provide low cost and nutritious meals.

Main Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering LifeSkills sessions to groups of families in South West Yorkshire. The postholder will also be the main point of contact for delivery partners hosting programmes (e.g. small charities, schools) and staff and volunteers delivering sessions, and be expected to respond promptly to a wide range of queries and requests for support. Examples might include, for instance, devising LifeSkills programmes for different cohorts, presenting to potential partners, devising risk assessments, recording data, and visiting and providing guidance and support for staff and volunteers delivering sessions in venues across the area.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

· To be the main point of contact for delivery partners (as well as for fundraising / marketing staff), for a portfolio of LifeSkills programmes, and respond promptly to queries and concerns. 

· To support delivery of LifeSkills sessions (e.g. take bookings, develop PowerPoint slides) as well as planning and delivering own LifeSkills programmes.

· Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service – Enhanced level

About the role:

As a key member of the Supporter Services team, you will be responsible for the following areas. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our income processing and giving the best to our supporters.

Donation Processing and Financial Accuracy: Handling donations, analysing bank statements, managing direct debits, and ensuring gift aid/GDPR compliance.

More about the role

Blue Cross Southampton Rehoming Centre has cared for pets and supported the local community since 1988. The site provides care for dogs, cats and kittens, while our dedicated offsite team supports small pets in foster homes and through our home direct scheme.

As Centre Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the Centre – pets, people, facilities, compliance and finances. Working closely with your Assistant Managers, you’ll inspire and empower your team, embed a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the highest welfare standards.

This role is about leading people and leading change. We have a skilled, passionate team with great ideas – we now need someone who can take those forward, make things happen, and bring colleagues with them on the journey. The standard hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week on a locally agreed rota to include weekends and bank holidays. The standard hours are 8:30 – 5 Monday – Friday with flexibility where there is a business need.

People’s Palace Projects (PPP) is a research-led arts charity based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) of Arts Council England (ACE). We develop collaborative arts-based projects with artists, activists, academics, policy advocates, and audiences to address social and climate injustices in the UK, Brazil and beyond. Over the past 28 years, PPP has gained national and international recognition for extensive work exploring the power of creative practices and partnering with marginalised communities to drive change. 

The next five years (2025-2030) will focus on expanding research supported by leadership transition, strengthening capacity, and strategic development, while maintaining core values of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. At this exciting moment, PPP is seeking a new General Manager (part-time) to deliver and develop the financial, administrative, and HR systems that anchor our energetic programme of arts research activity and support our committed team to flourish.

Job Description 

• Title: General Manager
• Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (0.6FTE)

Key Objectives

• To contribute to PPP’s overall strategic development as a member of the Governance Group (senior management team).

Working arrangements
 
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 18 months, covering an internal secondment.

About you

You’ll have strong technical knowledge and practical experience of the following:

• Microsoft on-prem and cloud stack (AD/AzureAD, Server/Client OSes, Exchange Hybrid, M365, Intune)
• Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Networking, RBAC/IAM and Storage
• Microsoft Security stack tools (Defender, Security and Compliance, Purview)
• Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare)
• Networking Technologies (LAN/WLAN, WAN/MPLS) 
• Storage Management (physical SAN and software-defined)

With practical experience of securing and hardening platforms, as well as experience of using vulnerability management systems, you’ll also have exposure to SIEM/XDR/MDR systems and knowledge and practical experience of Service Management tools (Manage Engine).

You’ll have significant experience of implementing and supporting Infrastructure technology solutions, as well as practical experience of Security stack systems including but not exclusively vulnerability management. With experience of working in an IT Operations/Service Environment, you’ll have experience in implementing and supporting Azure-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring robust and scalable deployments.

You’ll also have the following skills and knowledge:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience of working in an IT security focused role.
• Experience of supporting or implementing retail technology.

As Area Manager you will have responsibility to organise and oversee operations for the stores in your area. You will need to recruit, develop and lead a diverse team of managers and volunteers who share our passion to end bad housing and homelessness to become a high-performing team.

An active encouragement and desire to raise as much money toward Shelter’s cause is important, as well as ensuring that there is a vibrant shop environment in the shops you will oversee for our donors, volunteers and staff. About you

We are looking for someone located in the North of England or Central Scotland to fulfil this position. You will need to be an impressive leader who can demonstrate how you have motivated teams beyond expectations, you will also be experienced in recruiting and developing diverse teams and managing operations from a distance. An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong customer service, financial and operations planning skills, you will also be able to manage a varied workload and to prioritise tasks effectively.

Impressive organisational, interpersonal and relationship-building abilities are also vital, while previous experience of managing multiple charity retail units and a passion for - and ethos of - Shelter and enthusiasm for the vision and values of the organisation would be an advantage.

About the team

This role sits within the Income Generation directorate within the Retail team at Shelter. You will work alongside our other Area Managers and report into the Head of retail, along with the Community Shop Managers of the shops you oversee who will report into you.

The West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church (based in Yardley), is looking for an individual to provide technical expertise on buildings and property in support of Synod Officers, members of Synod Committees and local churches.

The successful candidate will be working to a wide brief and is expected to undertake a range of duties including, but not limited to, advising and initiating action on property issues in local churches, overseeing quinquennial inspections and manse inspections, and providing advice on property-related matters to Synod Committees.

About the job  

The Regional Advocacy Advisor within the East Africa and Great Lakes (EAGL) HQ Hub is a member of the Global Advocacy Unit. It seeks to promote DRC as a credible humanitarian and development actor with expertise in displacement and to influence key decision makers and other stakeholders. The role is critical to amplifying and coordinating the advocacy efforts of the country offices supported by the EAGL HQ Hub and provides strategic advocacy and external engagement advice and support to the Hub’s Executive Director.

The role promotes a consistent and cohesive voice on DRC´s key positions and messages with the intention of elevating and amplifying DRC´s evidenced based advocacy and external engagement at the country, regional and global levels. This includes within the UN and other regional and multilateral organizations, among bilateral donors, national and provincial level government representatives, elected officials, and other governmental and non-governmental actors. This role is responsible for leading on the development and implementation of the regional influencing components of DRC’s global influencing strategy and working with country operations to develop country specific advocacy strategies for Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. It works closely with the Executive Director of the HQ Hub and country offices to translate programmatic responses into concrete policy recommendations. It also works with the other members of the Global Advocacy Unit; advocacy counterparts in Brussels and Geneva; as well as sector and thematic leads across the organization to develop positions and policy recommendations informed by DRC’s programmatic and thematic work across contexts. This role includes strategic advisory, coordination, internal support, external engagement and influencing elements

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead on the development, coordination and implementation of regional advocacy efforts, in line with the Global Influencing Strategy and in close coordination with advocacy colleagues at headquarters, across the other two HQ hubs and with DRC’s representation offices in Brussels, Geneva and Berlin
• Ensure clear linkages and coherence between country, regional and global strategies, priorities and positions
• Support the advocacy and external engagement priorities of the Executive Director of the HQ Hub
• Identify and seek out regional and global advocacy opportunities on behalf of Country Offices
• Represent DRC at advocacy working groups and relevant INGO Regional Forums and participate in other relevant advocacy coordination discussions
• Draft and otherwise support the creation of high-quality regional and/ or country specific advocacy products and evidence-based recommendations based on DRC’s Country Office programs, analysis and research
• Undertake a key influencer and stakeholder mapping and establish strategic networks and alliances for policy, advocacy and public affairs across the countries within the HQ hub
• Engage Country Directors, Heads of Programs and other senior management including the Executive Director to identify and support on high-level advocacy opportunities which accentuate DRC’s programmatic outcomes and Theory of Change.
• Monitor relevant policy developments and make recommendations on how DRC should prepare and react as relevant and necessary
• Lead on the development of tailored meeting briefing notes and talking points ahead of high-level field visits
• Support and mentor country office advocacy colleagues and provide technical guidance on developing DRC specific advocacy messages which align with global positions and reflect the needs of local communities

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to be an senior advocacy professional with significant experience developing and implementing evidence-based advocacy strategies in East Africa an the Great Lakes.

You have excellent planning and coordination skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities. You have strong advisory, coordination, teamwork, and collaboration skills and well-established contacts among decision makers, UN and other stakeholders across East Africa and the Great Lakes.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required:

• Senior expert position (minimum of 8 years’ experience) in similar or complementary roles with a country or regional focus in East Africa or the Great Lakes regions.
• Proven ability to advocate on multiple complex contexts at once 
• Demonstrated commitment to addressing the root causes of forced displacement, responding to emergencies, and/or ensuring access to protection and durable solutions for displaced populations.
• Experience in influencing, representation, and external engagement towards different decision makers and stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in developing concrete and evidence-based policy recommendations responding to complex humanitarian crises and/or post-conflict situations and which are tailored to decision makers and stakeholders.
• Ability to present arguments in a structured, compelling, and articulated manner.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage global events and processes for influence and visibility
• Excellent planning and coordination skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
• Strong advisory, coordination, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Experience at building and managing relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
• Strong understanding of the political and humanitarian context in East Africa and the Great Lakes

Desirable:

• Familiar with the work of civil society, non-governmental organizations, the United Nations, the African Union, institutional donors, and/or political structures
• Knowledge of human rights, refugee rights, international humanitarian law, rights-based programming, and protection principles.
• Previous experience in representing NGOs or UN agencies in formal settings.
• Experience in a similar or complementary humanitarian advocacy role with a country, regional, global, or thematic focus.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff.

As a Triage & Early Interventions Officer you will: -

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and KPI measures are met relevant to the local contract.

You will need:

• The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
• The ability to manage a demanding workload and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines
• Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements
• Experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting
• Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults

• Broad experience in commercial financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Proven experience leading the financial element of projects or investment decisions.
