This role is crucial in making sure we deliver exceptional service, stay compliant, and run our project efficiently— whilst ensuring our mission, vision and values are not compromised. 

The Employment Support Coordinator will regularly meet with participants to listen, offer support and help them identify their best job match, reflecting their skills and aspirations.

In your day-to-day role, you will be striving to build, expand and strengthen the project whilst working closely with the Employment Manager to ensure all key performance indicators and any project targets are met. The role is responsible for onboarding individuals into the project as well as delivering face-to-face mentoring, work experience in and outdoors and coaching.

Project Skills:

• Support with the daily operations of the project scope.
• Supporting individuals through CV production, profiling, interview techniques, attending interviews, workshops, job clubs and managing their health at work.
• Adhere to the strategies to grow and enhance the projects, meeting the ever-changing needs of those we support.
• Identify skills gaps for participants and offer Asdan short courses to support development.
• Building relationships with community partners including DWP, Social Care and prescribers, and other charities and government organisations to gain referrals for the project.
• Sourcing job opportunities for your participants through regular contact with key local employers.

Teamwork:

• Work in partnership with Hamelin’s service offer, especially the Links service and Opportunity Center.
• Ensure the project remains a motivated team that aligns with our values and goals.
• Report on the performance of the current project, providing feedback and support to ensure high standards of care and efficiency.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Follow Hamelin’s policies and procedures to maintain best practices and regulatory standards.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes, including gathering feedback from project participants and colleagues to keep improving our service delivery.
• Engage with and become involved with continuing self-development.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with project participants, families, local and health authorities representatives, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent the Charity and service at meetings, events, and forums, advocating for the needs and rights of those we support.
•  Work closely with other teams and services within the charity to ensure a unified approach to care and support.

Business Development:

• Identify and exploit opportunities for expanding the service, from new partnerships and funding sources both inside and outside health and care to innovative care models.
• Prepare and present feedback and data when required, to the Employment Manager.
• Lead marketing and promotion of the service, boosting awareness. interest and attracting new project participants.

About You

It’s essential that:

• You have at least two years’ experience within a coordination/administration service for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• You have a proven track record of successful project administration.
• You hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
• Be ready to work flexibly, which could include weekends and bank holidays. You might also be asked to work in different services as needed.

We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives.  We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in the North West.

• The North West Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The North West Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

This strategic role oversees all public income streams, including: individual giving, legacies, events, and innovation, while leading a high-performing team and sector-leading Supporter Care function.

Core Purpose: 
The Head of Public Fundraising is a pivotal strategic leadership role at Make-A-Wish UK,   responsible for the strategic direction, planning, delivery, long-term growth and performance of all public fundraising and supporter engagement activity.
 
This includes   strategic oversight of all public income streams - individual giving (cash, regular giving, lottery, payroll), legacies, in-memory giving, challenge events, community fundraising, owned products, and innovation—as well as   operational leadership of the Supporter Care team, which manages supporter care, income processing, data imports, and inbound queries for the whole organisation.
 
The role leads a multi-disciplinary team of around 20, across four core public fundraising and engagement functions, who are responsible for delivery of a high-performing public fundraising programme and sector-leading supporter care function - acquiring, engaging, and retaining supporters at scale, growing income sustainably and ensuring every interaction reflects Make-A-Wish’s values and drives long-term income growth.
 
This role contributes to over 50% of the charity’s total fundraised income, plays a critical role in long-term sustainability, and operates at cross-organisationally to embed a supporter-first culture, championing   segmentation, stewardship and integrated journeys that drive lifetime value. The role is responsible for delivering significant and growing income targets, developing multi-year investment plans, and influencing organisation-wide strategies to ensure we are equipped to serve a growing supporter base. The postholder is part of the Extended Leadership Team (XLT), reporting to the Director of Income & Engagement, and influences decisions at Board level through strategic investment planning and performance reporting.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in public fundraising, with a strong track record of income growth across a broad portfolio of income streams (e.g. individual giving, legacies, community, events, innovation, lottery).
• Experience of leading the development and implementation of organisation-wide strategies, and aligning team plans to broader strategic priorities.
• Demonstrable success in a senior leadership role of similar scale and complexity, with full accountability for strategy, delivery, performance and people management across multiple teams and functions.

• Strong background in managing multi-million-pound budgets and long-term ROI models, including regular Board-level reporting.
• Strong external representation skills, including managing relationships with key suppliers, agencies, and sector partners.

Operational Delivery

• Oversee the delivery of public fundraising programmes across all channels and products, ensuring alignment to income, supporter volume, and ROI targets.
• Lead the development and testing of new fundraising propositions, programmes and products, in line with audience needs and market opportunities.
• Oversee the team to deliver multi-channel campaigns across DRTV, direct mail, F2F, telemarketing, digital and social - working closely with agencies and internal teams.
• Ensure all supporter journeys across fundraising and experience are aligned, data-driven, and optimised to deepen engagement and improve retention.
• Oversee the operational performance of the Supporter Care Team, ensuring efficient income processing, compliant data handling, and prompt responses across phone, inbox and other inbound channels.
• Deliver continuous improvement across supporter care workflows—introducing training, process optimisation, documentation and KPIs.
• Ensure fundraising and supporter care functions meet all regulatory requirements (Fundraising Code, Gambling Commission, GDPR), including acting as the lead for the Gambling Commission.
• Lead strategic projects at XLT level that improve supporter engagement, fundraising effectiveness and operational scalability.

Financial Management

• Hold responsibility for multi-million pound income and expenditure budgets across the department.
• Lead business planning, investment proposals, budgeting, and reforecasting across all public fundraising and supporter care activity for 5 to 10 year plans.
• Build and manage multi-year investment models to inform income planning, particularly for high-potential streams like regular giving and lottery.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insight, variances, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and the Board. Monitor return on investment across products and channels to inform future strategic decisions.
• Support senior managers to manage their budgets effectively and adapt where needed to maintain financial performance.
• Ensure all activity within supporter care operations is cost-effective, accurate and delivers strong value for money.

People Leadership and Culture

• Provide strategic leadership to a multi-functional team of approximately 20 colleagues, including four senior direct reports across core fundraising and supporter servicing functions.
• Set a clear team vision and ensure that performance, culture and development support organisational ambitions and create a supportive, inclusive culture focused on shared goals and continuous improvement.
• Embed a high-performance culture through clear goals, coaching, accountability, and personal development plans.
• Champion coaching, cross-team collaboration and a test-and-learn culture - empowering staff to innovate and drive impact.
• Ensure Supporter Care staff are resourced, trained and empowered to deliver a high-quality supporter experience that aligns with strategic goals.

Stakeholder and Supplier Management

• Lead strategic supplier relationships across fundraising and experience (media, creative, F2F, print, fulfilment), negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders in Brand, Digital, Tech, Finance, Data and Wishgranting to deliver joined-up strategy and planning. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, insight-led supporter journeys and ensure shared accountability for audience experience
• Collaborate with the Head of Brand & Comms to ensure fundraising communications reflect the brand and improve audience engagement.
• Represent Public Fundraising at the Extended Leadership Team (XLT), contributing to cross-charity strategy, insight sharing and project delivery.
• Act as a key internal ambassador for the supporter, using insight and feedback to shape fundraising propositions and operational improvements.

Data, Insight and Innovation

• Work in partnership with Data & Impact to develop insight tools and reporting dashboards to track performance across both income and supporter experience.
• Oversee use of segmentation, audience journey mapping, and predictive analytics to inform both fundraising and operational planning.
• Lead on Make-A-Wish’s innovation pipeline within Public Fundraising, identifying opportunities for new product development and managing test-and-learn pilots through to scale.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure fundraising and supporter care stay relevant and responsive to audience expectations.
• Own delivery of the supporter care improvement programme, embedding measurement of satisfaction, service levels, and team performance.

Projects Administrative and Events Assistant

Location: Remote with flexible working arrangements. You will be expected to attend monthly team meetings in Bristol (with paid travel and subsistence).

The Opportunity

We are expanding our operational team and so we are looking for a Projects Administrative and Events Assistant. This is an entry level post. This hands-on role would suit a responsive, dependable implementer who is willing to step up  when something is needed and determined to see things through, even if problems surface. You will need to enjoy working proactively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, and have a logical, systematic approach, as well as excellent communication and IT skills. Our team works remotely, but there are also opportunities to co-work (depending on location). Responsibilities

Working closely with the Warm Welcome Operations Director and wider team your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative  and event support to our team, taking ownership of specific tasks as required, including;

Administration support:

• Monitoring email inboxes, responding to and fielding enquiries as appropriate

• Taking meeting minutes

• Collecting and entering data for various spreadsheets and documents efficiently

• Maintaining and updating information on our CRM tool

• Ensuring project documents are responsibly and securely stored and updated on the GDrive

• Chairing internal meetings

The role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Crisis at Christmas team as a Women’s Pathway coordinator at a hotel and way of working we are introducing for the first time in East London. The Women-led Pathway is specifically designed for women experiencing homelessness and is a women-led initiative grounded in a psychologically informed approach. Your aim will be to ensure guests have a positive experience, that we achieve the impact we want and that there is consistency throughout the duration of the project. Crisis at Christmas is innovative and achieves great things, we want you to be part of that.

The purpose of the role is to be the key on-site point of contact for volunteers, case managers, hotel staff and members of our security team. You will play a key role in ensuring Crisis at Christmas policies and procedures around volunteering, incident management, safeguarding and guest wellbeing and behaviour are being followed. You will ensure volunteers are supported with any issues, difficult conversations and incidents that may arise with our hotel guests.

You will be responsible for escalating any serious concerns or issues to the Guest services manager, Head of Christmas and on-call managers during the Christmas period who will all be able to provide advice and guidance for any issues you may encounter on site.

To be considered for the role you must be able to be on site at the hotel in London during the Christmas period. This will include working on Bank Holidays and weekends.

Experience required 

• Previous experience managing or working intensively in services for women, ideally in a hostel or accommodation environment in the homelessness or related sector.
• Experience working with and supporting women with multiple and complex needs.
• A good understanding of the issues faced by women experiencing homelessness.
• Ability and confidence to consult and use own initiatives to manage risk and make appropriate decisions in complex situations.
• Experience of holding high quality briefings and debriefs with multiple different audiences.
• Ability to build and manage effective working relationships with multiple different stakeholders from a range of backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of audiences.

Shifts

You will also accrue annual leave during this work, which will be calculated according to statutory guidelines and will be paid in your final payslip. Holiday entitlement will be calculated as 12.07% of actual hours worked and equates to approximately £3.80 per hour for bank holidays worked and £2.40 per hour for non-bank holiday work.
