The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join People team as People and Governance Coordinator. 

This role is central to the internal operations of the Royal Court, providing high-quality coordination and administration that underpins how we support our staff, deliver effective governance, and maintain a positive workplace culture. The postholder will oversee key HR procedures, systems and records (including recruitment and payroll support), coordinate trustee and board activity, and ensure clear and consistent internal communications across all teams.

Alongside this core administration, the role offers an opportunity to develop as a trusted People Partner for our Front of House and Catering teams, providing first-line guidance on people matters and gaining insight into the internal management of a leading cultural charity. Handling a high volume of correspondence, processes, and confidential information, the post requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and discretion.

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience in an administrative role within a busy office environment (not necessarily arts-specific). 

• Have practical experience in HR and/or recruitment, ideally supporting onboarding, payroll processes and employee lifecycle documentation

• Have excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail and the ability to tailor communications for different audiences.

• Be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, balancing competing priorities

What will I be doing?

• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of activities associated with the CAW programme, as set-out by Programme Delivery Manager for CAW

• Managing the delivery and evaluation of partner activity (cancer awareness stands, talks and webinars) - including logistics, booking in nurses, managing all processes within health & safety guidelines for activity, and coordinating requests for health comms and designing them where necessary

• Building effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partner contacts, the Partnerships team, Health Information team, our team of nurses, and people with lived experience

• Creating, developing or reviewing CAW products (including webinars and talks), with support from the Programme Development and Operations Manager

• Sharing responsibility with the rest of the CAW team in maintaining and refining appropriate logs and tracking documents

• Responsible for reviewing and managing cancer awareness stand kits

• Supporting with evaluation of the wider CAW programme.

Role Summary

The Community Forest Trust (CFT) supports, enables and champions the work of England’s Community Forests, who are the leading woodland creation network in England. We provide a range of support services for the forests including finance functions, payroll and accountable body for funded projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance and Operations Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance role, competency with accounting software and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You will also provide support to the CFT Managing Director and team, including diary management, booking travel and accommodation, supporting project delivery and arranging meetings and events. You will possess strong organisational skills, with a focus on providing exceptional assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Work

• Check, process and record payments in accordance with agreed procedures, administer invoices and expenses claims received, ensuring they are forwarded for authorisation in a timely manner, correctly coded and posted on the finance system
• Prepare purchase invoices, add to the payment spreadsheet ready for weekly payment run processing
• Run the Weekly Credit Control cycle, ensuring invoices are raised and sent on time and monitoring aged debtors, chasing late payments as required
• Reconcile the credit cards and bank account and ensure the financial system is up to date
• Support the Finance manager in month end procedures
• Draft monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and finance reports
• Support the preparation of grant claims, ensuring that adequate records are kept
• Assist with year-end audits
• Assist with payroll processing
• Respond and deal with finance queries received internally and externally

Operations Support

• Provide support to the CFT Managing Director and team, including diary management, booking travel and accommodation, taking and drafting minutes
• Provide support for planning and arranging meetings including the CFT Board, Forest Network and with key stakeholders, including agreeing dates, organising venues and catering, distribution of agendas and supporting papers
• Support the Forest Network including arranging ‘all-hands’ briefings and the annual conference
• Ensure CFT’s contacts list is kept up to date
• Provide ad-hoc admin support for CFT projects and programmes
• Manage social media accounts ensuring relevant message sharing and posting to increase engagement

Person Specification

Essential:

• English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent
• Proven experience in bookkeeping/similar finance role, including following policies and procedures, processing invoices, supporting the preparation of financial reports, financial reconciliation
• Good working knowledge of key accountancy software such as Quick Books or SAGE
• Administration experience, including providing support for colleagues, arranging meetings/events
• High level of numeracy and financial literacy, comfortable working with budgets and spreadsheets and be able to input data accurately
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team worker, but also happy to work independently including self-managing remote working
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and uses their own initiative
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet tight deadlines

Desirable:

• Qualification in finance or accounting e.g. AAT

CFT employs around 50 staff based in the Forests but has a small core team of 4, which works remotely and there is no office base. We meet once a quarter in-person and this post will occasionally need to attend in-person meetings and events, including the annual conference.

There is a 6-month probation period.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Head of Financial Operations & Control is a pivotal senior leadership role, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all financial records across The Courtauld and its subsidiaries. You will oversee core financial operations, reporting, tax and treasury management, investment support, regulatory compliance, and risk management, playing a key role in safeguarding the financial stability and integrity of the institution.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Lead the finance function, including financial accounting, control, compliance

· Manage all aspects of financial operations such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, treasury, fixed assets, and tax

In order to be successful in the role we're looking for;

· A qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent)

· Significant experience in managing financial control and operations including VAT, Tax relief, treasury in a charitable/education/not-for-profit organisation of similar size and complexity

· Able to self-sufficiently lead a smooth, accurate and timely year end process

· Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, able to ensure correct accounting treatment of restricted, unrestricted and endowment income

· A proven track record of leading finance teams and driving process improvements, thriving to develop a best-in-class finance function

· Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at a senior level

· Experience in investment and endowment accounting is strongly desirable

In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of the campaign, working closely with the Head of Appeal to keep everything on track and running smoothly. You’ll coordinate plans, manage timelines and milestones, and help make sure everyone involved knows what’s happening and when.

You’ll drive forward the creation of campaign materials too, from website content and videos to newsletters and donor content. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

Finance

Inter Mediate is a London-based peacemaking charity supporting confidential negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. Now in its second decade of operations, Inter Mediate is seeking a Projects Manager to join our small, specialised team to support our work on dialogue processes and sensitive negotiations, with a particular focus on Asia. Our work in Asia covers conflicts in South and East Asia.

The Projects Manager will be responsible for:  

· Supporting and implementing Inter Mediate’s existing projects portfolio of peace talks and other high-level peace initiatives;

· Building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders in conflict and peace processes, mainly in South and East Asia.;

· Identifying and developing entry points for new projects;

· Monitoring and analysing political developments across areas relevant to Inter Mediate’s work;

· Preparing project proposals and budgets, narrative and financial reporting, and collecting evidence of project impact.

 Specific responsibilities:

· Working with the relevant Project Directors to support the development, management and delivery of existing Inter Mediate conflict resolution and dialogue projects, with a geographic focus on South and East Asia;

· Developing and sustaining relationships with key partners and interlocutors, both directly and remotely, travelling frequently to project/meeting locations;

· Drafting meeting reports, note verbales, preparatory briefs and memos as required;

· Leading research necessary to deliver projects;

· Preparing programme budgets in consultation with relevant team members and ensuring timely and efficient financial planning and management;

· Managing relationships with key project donors, preparing donor reports and updates in coordination with the Operations Team and identifying and scoping additional funding opportunities and relationships;

· Managing complex logistical arrangements in relation to high level and sensitive meetings and dialogues;

· Working with the Projects Director on compiling project progress reports for senior management/trustees’ meetings; and

· Representation of Inter Mediate in external forums where appropriate.

Person Specification - Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 Successful candidates would need to demonstrate:

· A masters degree in politics, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, international affairs, public policy or an equivalent subject. Relevant work experience (with a preferred focus on Asia) may be accepted in lieu;

· At least 6 years of work experience in conflict resolution or peace process support for a governmental, non-governmental or inter-governmental organisation, or an equivalent field such as diplomacy, humanitarian access, or international development;

· Experience of project management including finance/budgeting and reporting.

· Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage logistics in sensitive and high pressure situations;

· Evidence of strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills required in operating across multiple geographical and cultural contexts;

· Deep understanding of and interest in politics and conflict resolution in general and with a particular focus on South Asia; 

· Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior interlocutors and IM’s partners;

· Proven experience of fundraising and management of donor relationships;

· Excellent English language skills and proven writing/drafting ability for a variety of audiences;

· Hindi/Urdu/Bengali/Chinese language skills would be highly desirable and an advantage for candidates;

· Ability and willingness to undertake regular international travel;

· Flexibility and adaptability to support the smooth running of a small team, and willingness to take an “all-hands-on-deck” approach when required.
