The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Tutor The Nation (TTN) is looking for a new team member to lead their school partnerships and help grow our rapidly expanding charity. We are looking for someone who can manage our relationships with schools, overseeing the matching process of our pupils and volunteer tutors, as well as supporting other aspects of the day to day running of the charity.
Our Director of School and Pupil Partnerships will spend the majority of their time matching our pupils with a suitable volunteer for online tutoring, managing existing and new school partnerships, and pushing for growth. About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Finance is responsible for leading a team of 5 and overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the charity, supporting and developing its financial strategies. - Cultivate a support structure across the organisation where the finance department acts as a trusted business partner for operations and management
Reporting
- Oversee all financial reporting processes for the Charity, ensuring that accurate, timely and relevant information is disseminated across the organisation
- Work with the SMT to identify areas to improve the reporting processes
Statutory Reporting, Audit & Risk
- Manage the Charity’s financial statutory compliance for both audit and regulatory matters and oversee the finance risk register
- Lead the year-end audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations and acting as a key point of contact for the auditors
- Prepare the financial disclosures sections of the Charity ‘s annual reports and the accompanying narrative to explain the financial performance of the year
- Support the Charity’s regulatory compliance responsibilities, particularly with the financial elements of ESFA funding guidelines. Prepare financial returns, financial health assessments and other submissions to ensure that ESFA requirements are fulfilled.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitory the Charity’s cash flow, manage the working capital controls and produce cashflow reports and forecasts
- Oversee the Charity’s cash flow management processes and report on cash flow performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts which provide a consistently reliable understanding of the organisation’s cash flow position over the financial year.
Finance Department Development
- Design and implement learning and development frameworks for each member of the Finance department.
- Ensure that each member of the Finance department is sufficiently supported to fulfil their performance development goals.
About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)

The post holder will need to be based in London and work across both London and out of London services. Assignments to out of London services will involve overnight stays Monday to Friday with accommodation and subsistence costs covered by Refuge.

As the new Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will play a critical role working alongside a dynamic and ambitious Senior Executive Team, Chief Executive Seyi Obakin and the Board of Trustees.
Our Director of Finance and Corporate Services will be instrumental in strengthening the organisation ensuring that Centrepoint is healthy and stable financially, while also considering long-term funding strategies. You will also take executive responsibility for financial operations; technology and business systems; internal audit and assurance; regulatory and professional compliance; and procurement.
We are looking for an exceptional, experienced leader who is commercially astute and a strategic thinker, at ease with promoting an insight led approach while supporting innovative ideas and translating broad goals into specific actions. You will be an excellent networker, communicator and influencer who is skilled in representing and promoting an organisation with different audiences, at different levels and in different contexts. Critically, you will be bringing demonstrable experience of initiating, leading, and delivering significant change and transformation across complex organisations.

Are you an experienced Risk and Insurance professional ready to take on a new challenge? Would you like to lead the Risk Management and Insurance function for a leading UK Charity?
We are looking for a Head of Risk Management and Insurance to join RBLs Legal and Assurance team to work closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Executive Board, senior leaders and Trustees on the risk strategy for RBL.
In the key role, you will help our organisation to comply with our legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements regarding all areas of risk management and insurance, and you will ensure RBL has in place sound and integrated policies, procedures and structures throughout.
Day to day you will manage the interface between Trustees, senior management and risk management arrangements of the organisation, and maintain a high standard of risk reporting, risk management and insurance.
Reporting to our Chief Finance Officer, key responsibilities will include:
- Report to the Audit & Risk Committee, ensuring the Committee has a clear view of RBLs risk exposures and the effectiveness of the risk management model
- Provide the Trustees and Executive Directors with assurance, support and information to enable them to comply with Charity Commission requirements regarding risk management
- Provide the Director General and Executive Board with regular risk management information and lead our business continuity planning.
- Manage the relationships with leaders across the organisation to understand issues and identify areas for improvement of risk management and insurance
- Consider annually the suitability of the insurance portfolio, and advise and support RBL and subsidiaries on its insurance portfolio
- Manage and support the Insurance & Risk Advisor
