Location: Crisis Skylight Brent, 1-2 Bank Buildings, High St, NW10 4LT.

The role is based at the Crisis Brent Skylight in Harlesden, some local travel may be required.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about leading the drive for evidence-led change in local systems for some of the most excluded members of our community and to drive forward the delivery of Built for Zero in Brent. The role requires excellent leadership skills to bring together a range of stakeholders to focus on the challenges, provide solutions to longstanding barriers and problems and inspire positivity and resilience. The role will be line managed by Crisis but embedded within Brent Council.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of achieving system change through partnership, collaboration and use of data

• Ability to identify key barriers to progress and problem solve sensitively and collaboratively, maintaining strong and positive working relationships

• Experience or in depth understanding of housing/ homelessness, adult social care, health, criminal justice, or other relevant sectors, with an ability to work across boundaries.

• Excellent self-management and project management skills and an ability to monitoring progress and achieving deadlines and outcomes

About ShowerBox

ShowerBox provides free mobile shower services for people experiencing homelessness and hygiene poverty – offering dignity, care, and a safe space for anyone who needs it. Our Central London project is our busiest – over 200 guests visit each Saturday and around 60 guests have showers. We couldn’t do it without our amazing team of 20+ volunteers each week. 

Role Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on Service Delivery Shift Leader to coordinate and oversee the smooth running of our Central London project based in Tottenham Court Road WC2H.  You’ll be responsible for taking the lead on setting up the Saturday service, managing the volunteer team, and ensuring a respectful, welcoming experience for all our guests. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and close-down of the shower service

• Coordinate and support volunteers on the day

• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld

• Be the main point of contact for guests and volunteers

About the role  

It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy. 

The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change. 

The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

This will include providing leadership to support Emmaus communities across the UK to prepare and respond to the introduction of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act, you will require an understanding and commitment to best practice and legislative requirements related to the provision of supported housing, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into user friendly support, training, guidance and policies and procedures

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. You will provide the project management and technical skills required to support the successful delivery of the application process, ensuring that risk and regulatory requirements are considered and acted upon at each stage, maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders externally and across the federation.

As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of developed initiatives.

Working with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and wider Senior Leadership Team, the role will be central to the delivery of strategic objectives related to the development of the movement.

• Co-ordinate senior meetings for staff, board and subgroups, including scheduling, co-ordinating agendas, collating and distributing papers and providing high-quality, accurate minute-taking with clear actions.

About Camden Learning

Launched in 2017, Camden Learning is a schools-led partnership – a joint enterprise between Camden schools and Camden Council. The role

You will play a key role in ensuring that Camden Learning captures and uses data to drive service development and operate more efficiently. This is a newly created position which will support the implementation and ongoing development of a new CRM system, as well as optimising the other systems and platforms we use. You will support teams and wider stakeholders to get access to the data they need by running reports, undertaking basic data analysis and presenting data in an easy to understand way. You will also ensure our ordering processes are as straightforward as possible for our school members and customers, and support with their orders as required.

• Working alongside our development partner, support the successful implementation of a new CRM system
• Ensure the CRM system continues to meet the organisation’s needs, including setting up and owning the process by which colleagues request changes and new features

• Identify, set up and configure other systems and platforms to meet the organisation’s needs. This will include our training booking platform and HR platform.

Order processes

• Set up and own the processes by which schools place orders for services
• Respond to queries from schools related to subscriptions, orders and pricing
• Work with the Finance Officer to ensure customers are accurately invoiced for services used.

Data reporting, analysis and presentation

• Set up and run regular reports of key information to stakeholders, to include:
  • Camden Learning’s leadership team and board of directors
  • Local authority commissioners
  • Schools
• Undertake regular and adhoc data analysis of data held within our systems, for example training feedback and staff survey
• Present this information in a format suitable for its intended audience

Other

• Liaise with schools, Camden council and other partners to ensure the smooth running of Camden Learning’s services and operations
• Act as a leader of social justice who:
  • Understands the material and economic and social differences between different groups.
  • Works to right the wrongs of marginalised groups.
  • Creates safe spaces and opportunities that promote equity between individuals and groups.
  • Changes systems, processes, and structures to respond better to the needs of students and the system.

About you

Essential criteria

Experience and knowledge

• Experience supporting the implementation and ongoing development of a CRM system
• Strong understanding of system configuration, reporting, and user support within CRM systems
• Experience managing or supporting other operational systems (e.g. HR platforms, booking systems)
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and present data for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders
• Experience working with external partners and suppliers to deliver system improvements or resolve issues

The organisation plays a vital role in helping individuals rebuild their lives through access to stable accommodation, personal development opportunities, and community reintegration. They are now looking for an Executive Assistant to the CEO to join their dedicated team.

As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative and PA support to the CEO, ensuring the smooth running of their schedule, correspondence, and meetings. You’ll also work closely with the Director of Housing and Head of Services to coordinate professional learning events and manage the day-to-day running of the charity’s London office and Community Hub. This varied role will see you liaising confidently with internal teams and external partners, managing office operations, and contributing to the charity’s wider strategic goals.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in administration, executive support, or office management, with strong organisational and communication skills. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, from diary management and minute-taking to coordinating training events and maintaining effective systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new systems will be key, along with a proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in supporting the organisation’s mission.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), offered on a one-year fixed-term contract and based in London. The salary is £30,000 per annum.

1st Place is a local success story. Born out of the vision from parents and children in 2005, we are now the recognised voluntary sector provider of early years and Best Start Family Hub services in Southwark.

We are first and foremost a hub of support for families with young children, from birth to rising five years and beyond which enables both children and parents to thrive. This includes health, parenting, as well as early years education through open access services and our highly regarded day nurseries. 

The challenges facing the families and communities we serve are ever present. We live in economically difficult times, which impacts the greatest on people who are already disadvantaged.

We seek a new Director who can take us forward to achieve even more and expand our geographical reach within the borough. This will be done only through vision and by partnering with other local providers of complementary services, commissioners and other potential funders of who there are many and as yet untapped.

1st Place is now a complex operation with many moving parts. You will need to be both strategic and outward facing as well as be ‘hands on’ in interacting with the children and families we work with and provide the visible leadership to staff and volunteers to enable them to continue to excel in OFSTED inspection, contract reviews and charity regulation.
