Job Purpose:

This is a dynamic and developmental role designed for a candidate with at least 1 years' experience in fundraising or marketing within an arts or charitable organisation. The role is split evenly across fundraising and marketing and communications and will contribute directly to NYJO’s growth and sustainability by supporting our external affairs through income generation, audience engagement, and public profile. 

We are looking for a confident, creative and self-motivated individual who can manage their workload independently, communicate effectively with donors and audiences, and is excited to grow their skills in both fundraising and communications within a fast-moving, ambitious organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising (2 days per week)

Trusts, Foundations and Statutory Funding

• Conduct research and develop profiles on prospective trusts and statutory funders

• Draft briefing notes and maintain an up-to-date prospect pipeline

• Support grant administration: acknowledgements, processing, and internal logging

• Assist with preparation of Arts Council England reporting

• Draft small trust applications (up to £10k) with guidance from Head of Fundraising

• Help gather content, data and evidence to support medium/large bid development

• Lead the collation and drafting of funder reports  

Individual Giving & Membership

• Administer NYJO’s membership scheme (renewals, fulfilment, member queries)

• Draft and distribute the Members’ newsletter, both digital and physical

• Organise cultivation events, manage RSVPs, support logistics and attend events

• Maintain donor records on our CRM Beacon in line with GDPR policies  

• Support campaign delivery for fundraising initiatives (e.g. NYJO 60th, Big Give)

Development Support

• Coordinate fundraising proposals including content collation, layout and visuals

• Support the creation of fundraising collateral including impact case studies

• Contribute to donor communications and stewardship activity

• Assist with other tasks as required by the Head of Fundraising

Marketing & Communications (2 days per week) 

• Support the creation, scheduling and distribution of engaging digital content (social media, e-newsletters, blog posts) 

• Update and maintain website content related to news, projects, and events, and support with broader website updates and coordination with developers/designers

Person Specification: 

Essential 

• Minimum 1 year experience in a fundraising and marketing role within an arts or charity setting 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting Board-level financial reporting
• Proficient in using accounting software, ideally Xero
• Strong working knowledge of payroll, VAT, and charity finance regulations
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and handling reconciliations, journals, and multi-source income

Knowledge and Skills:

• Clear understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks
• Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders

About Shooting Star Children’s Hospices

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Family Support Team at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

 Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child has died. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, our teams support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care. Family support is provided to families in 15 different languages.

About the role

Family Support Workers (FSW) are the frontline of our care. Each FSW holds a caseload of end-of-life and bereaved families. They get to know their families, and check-in regularly with phone calls and home visits and can provide enhanced emotional support where required through more regular contact and interventions. Our FSWs tell families about the many services they can access at Shooting Star, assess their needs and make recommendations to our multi-disciplinary team. They  support families of different ethnicities and families living in poverty, helping our service be as accessible as possible. This includes providing support in a family’s first language. Several families cared for by Shooting Star speak Gujarati.

Our FSWs work closely with our Therapists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Transition Team and our Care Events Team. Weekly MDT meetings bring the team together to think of ways to help families in crisis. The work is varied and creative, taking place at the hospices, in family homes and hospitals, allowing the support to be where the families need it. Our Family Support Workers are hugely appreciated by the families we support.

The ambition of our strategy is to ensure every family affected by a life-limiting condition, or the sudden death of a child, has access to the specialist care that they need. Day to day duties are:

• Being the on-site duty FSW, welcoming families on site, monitoring email inboxes and answering the Family Support Line.
• Helping with support groups and family events
• Providing on the spot emotional support, sometimes in a crisis where a calm and supportive response is required.
• Visiting newly bereaved families in their homes – specifically Gujrati speaking families.
• Supporting families staying at our Christopher’s hospice (booked stays and end of life).
• Attending various locations over the course of a week: hospice, hospital, family homes.
• Building connections with families from different backgrounds, delivering culturally sensitive care.
• Helping safeguard families at risk of harm.
• Acting as an ambassador for Shooting Star’s Specialist Bereavement Service, supporting other care team members with their learning and delivery of the bereavement pathway, and continually seeking ways to improve what we offer families.

The post holder will need to have a UK driving license.

The hours are predominantly worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Once a month, the FSW will work a weekend day (with advance notice). This is in place of a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday that week.

This role requires experience of working with children and families who have experienced hardship, or those with complex needs. You should have a calm, positive manner, conveying empathy whilst maintaining professional boundaries. We are looking for someone who is fluent in Gujarati, who is passionate about supporting children and families.

Key Details

Position: Office Administrator

Responsible to: Head of Business Operations and Finance

Location: An office in Victoria, London.

Hours: Flexible working – 35 hours per week. Flexible working with the expectation to attend routine business rhythm in the London office in person at least three days a week.

Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per annum

· Ensure the database is kept accurate and up to date by recording changes including mailing preferences, address details and other relevant information;

· Manipulate and exploit the CRM data to inform improvement activities;

· Maintain efficient GDPR CRM compliant records and

· Represent TNF at a variety of events, including Royal and prestige events.

The Business Development team is a recently established and growing team at Frontline. The team is responsible for delivering and developing high-quality leadership programmes, workforce development training, and commissioned projects that support practitioners and leaders across the children’s social care sector. We work collaboratively across Frontline to ensure that these offers extend the organisation’s mission impact and contribute to its financial sustainability. The team is ambitious, collaborative, and committed to innovation, equity, and continuous improvement.​

As Business Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of Frontline’s leadership development programmes and workforce development training offers. You will provide high-quality administrative, operational and project support across the Business Development team, working closely with the Business Development Manager and Programme Manager to ensure smooth programme delivery and excellent participant experiences.​

Your responsibilities will include supporting communications, logistics, resource management, scheduling, and data tracking. This is a key role for an organised, proactive and collaborative individual who is passionate about supporting work that improves leadership and practice across the children’s social care sector.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Providing operational and administrative support for the delivery of leadership development
• Drafting and managing participant communications, including joining instructions, programme updates, feedback surveys, and certificates.​
• Supporting project planning, risk tracking, and logistics mapping for leadership and training offers.​
• Assisting with reporting tasks, information collation, and maintenance of project documentation.​

About the role

You’ll join our finance team as a Systems Accountant, bringing strong financial and technical skills. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified with experience in successfully implementing finance systems and improving financial processes.

Working Hours

Our Young People need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas, with staff needing to be able to commit to weekends and bank holidays.

For Waking Night support staff; shifts are 11.5 hours from 20:00 - 07:30 or 21:00 - 08:30, on average you will be working 40 hours a week.

There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half; same as bank holidays.

About the Role
As HR Project Admin (Flexible Workforce), you will play a key role in supporting the national flexible staffing model. You’ll be responsible for coordinating temporary worker recruitment, managing workforce records, and helping ensure compliance across all casual staffing processes. Working closely with hiring managers, external agencies and the HR and Finance teams, your work will help ensure effective and cost-conscious staffing across services.
