About the role

We have an exciting, fixed term opportunity for a Marketing Executive (Freelance or Casual) to provide backfill support to the Marketing and Communications team during delivery of another project, which will contribute to membership growth and revenue for the Library. In this pivotal role you will:

· support the Library’s marketing and communications team

· increase awareness of the Library and grow membership

· implement the Library’s digital communications strategy, creating content and growing and engaging audiences

About you  

You are an experienced and self-motivated professional with: 

· Social media management experience, including growing and engaging audiences, and preferably from an arts/cultural or charity organisation

· Knowledge and experience of digital communications and content creation across a variety of channels including copy, visuals, and video, and analysing its performance

· Experience of digital marketing techniques and software including email software, CRM, and Google Analytics

· Experience of growing membership, visitors, or income

· High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of people

· Highly organised with a creative flair, and attention to detail

The People Services Administrator will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR and Volunteering queries. SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project. 

Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world. 

The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.

In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.

The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.

In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.

You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.

The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

Our UK-based medico-legal NGO was established to be a voice for the most vulnerable and innocent victims: children. We chose the name Children Not Numbers to acknowledge that the dead and wounded are not simply statistics.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. You’ll support the smooth running of our regular giving programme, handle general fundraising administration and ensure excellent supporter care and team efficiency. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:

• Have 1+ years' employment within a charity or NGO, ideally within a fundraising team or an international development organisation.
• Reside in the UK  and hold right to work status
• Are already set up, or are able to set up, in order to fulfil a contractor role (this is not a PAYE employee position)

You will also be skilled in: 

• Managing multiple tasks and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Written and verbal communication
• Demonstrating a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Using databases and online platforms (training will be provided)
• Acting as a team player with a positive, can-do attitude

It would be highly desirable if you:

• Bring lived experience of or strong affinity with the cause
• Are familiar with CRM systems, such as Beacon, Salesforce, Donorfy or Raisers Edge)

What are we looking for?

• Qualified or finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 2-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
• Skilled in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Financial Modelling) and accounting software (preferably NetSuite).
• Experience in payroll processing, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, able to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

The salary band for this role is £45,000-£52,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

Service Charge Analyst

Robertson Bell are pleased to be exclusively partnering with Gateway Housing Association in their search for a Service Charge Analyst to join their close-knit, dynamic team on a permanent basis. Gateway are uniquely the largest Sheltered Housing provider in Tower Hamlets and were the first registered provider of older persons shared ownership in the borough. They are particularly proud of their new build properties for leasehold, shared ownership and direct sale, which are low-density and high-quality.

They are seeking an organised, diligent Service Charge professional to support on the technical side of the Service Charge lifecycle and improve processes within the department. You will work closely with budget holders, enabling data-led decision-making and supporting donor and committee reporting. As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you will be hands-on managing a mix of transactional and more advanced duties, proactive in ensuring the key points in the yearly Service Charge cycle run smoothly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake assigned processing, accounting, monitoring, control and review of service charge income and costs on a periodic basis.
• Review service charge income and costs monthly to ensure they have been charged to the correct scheme and fully investigate and resolve any principal variances and anomalies identified (e.g., miscoding’s, duplications).
• Prepare periodic reconciliations of service charge income and costs on a scheme/block level and with the preparation of annual service charge estimates and actuals processes for all tenures.
• Resolve service charge queries from internal and external customers.
• Complete assigned elements of strategic delivery projects across the organization, particularly relating to service charge specific projects.
• Ensure consistent apportionment and allocation of scheme costs in mixed tenure blocks and other complex schemes and regular monitoring, control and analysis of such costs.
• Implement and embed key service charge systems and processes as part of the organisation wide service charge improvement project.

Person Specification:

• Experience in service charge computation, accounting and analysis, including preparation of service charge budgets, estimates and actuals
• Robust understanding of residential service charge management, including current legislative requirements and sector best practice
• Strong organisational skills, able to control and deliver a range of tasks to strict deadlines
• Social housing experience.
• Experience of working with third parties, the wider community, and other external partners including managing agents
