Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Act as Company Secretary, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance.

Corporate Services Leadership

• Manage the People Support Lead, providing line management and oversight, while working collaboratively to ensure HR compliance, develop people strategy, and coordinate on key operational matters including payroll and budgets.
• Lead IT oversight and the outsourced IT function, ensuring systems are maintained and improved.
• Oversee facilities management and represent WECHI as a Director for Hide Market Management.

The Health and Safety Manager will take a lead role in strengthening the organisation’s health and safety framework, ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and RSH expectations. Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) Implementation
• Develop and implement a comprehensive HSMS tailored to the scale and operations of the association.
• Review and enhance existing health and safety policies, risk assessments, and procedures.
• Establish effective monitoring, reporting, and assurance processes to demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Ensure the HSMS supports compliance with the RSH Home Standard, including obligations related to building safety, gas, electrical, fire, water, asbestos, and lift

Regulatory Compliance and Assurance
• Ensure systems and reporting align with RSH requirements and best practice guidance.
• Work with senior management and the Board to ensure compliance with the Home Standard and Governance and

Financial Viability Standard.
• Prepare and present reports, performance metrics, and compliance evidence for Board and Audit Committee meetings.
• Support readiness for any regulatory engagement, audits, or inspections.

Collaboration with Third-Party Provider
• Act as the main liaison with the external Health and Safety Portal provider.
• Lead on system configuration, data migration, testing, and go-live processes.
• Oversee user training and ensure the portal becomes embedded in day-to-day operations.
• Ensure the system supports ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting requirements.

Person specifications:
Essential:
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
• Proven experience implementing or managing a Health and Safety Management System, ideally within housing, property management, or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
• Experience of working to meet the Regulator of Social Housing standards or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently within a small organisation and deliver practical, proportionate solutions.

Desirable:
• Experience implementing or managing a digital health and safety portal or compliance management system.
• Knowledge of housing asset compliance areas (gas, fire, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, lifts, etc.).
• Experience working in or with a registered housing provider.

Role

The Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Degrees’ international events, including workshops that bring together funded researchers and the biennial Degrees Global Forum conference. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, they will design and manage high-quality events that strengthen collaboration, showcase research outcomes, and advance Degrees’ mission to support equitable SRM research in the Global South. This role requires strategic oversight, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver complex international events from concept to completion. 

Key responsibilities

Lead planning and delivery of events 

• Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of Degrees’ international events, including the biennial Degrees Global Forum and—in cooperation with the programmes team—quarterly regional research workshops.
• Support the delivery of policy engagement and fundraising events.
• Develop event concepts, agendas, and formats that align with organisational priorities. 
• Work closely with colleagues across other workstreams—particularly the Fundraising and Policy Engagement teams—to ensure that events are aligned with strategic priorities, that logistical planning complements programme content and policy objectives, and that participants and speakers are appropriately supported.
• Be responsible for end-to-end event budgets, forecasting, variance reporting; lead procurement;

Operational and logistical management 

• Ensure the smooth delivery of all event logistics, including venue selection, letters of contribution to participants, travel and lodging arrangements, visas, supplier contracting, budget management, insurances and risk assessments.
• Ensure events run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget, whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and participant experience.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement 

• Work closely with colleagues across Degrees’ teams (programmes, policy engagement, communications, fundraising, and operations) to ensure events support strategic goals.
• Liaise with external partners, funders, and speakers to build strong relationships and deliver impactful, collaborative events.

Monitoring, learning, and continuous improvement 

• Capture lessons learned from each event and contribute to refining Degrees’ event strategy and processes.
• Support post-event communications, reporting, and knowledge sharing to maximise the impact and visibility of Degrees’ work.

Key relationships

• Within the Programmes team forge close working relations with the Programmes Manager and the three Programme Officers.
• Develop strong working relations with colleagues from the following teams i) Operations, ii) Policy & Engagement and iii) Communications
• Depending on future organisational growth, the role may require managing an Events Officer

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Foundations Manager to join Caritas Salford’s fundraising team. The Grants and Foundations Manager position is ideal for someone with previous experience of income generation and a proven success in securing funding from trusts and grant making bodies. You will work closely with senior and service managers, to research new funding opportunities, building and sustaining strong relationships with new and existing funders. You will prepare grant applications and maintain a comprehensive database of funders, opportunities and grant applications, in addition to managing and evaluating bids to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will be highly organised with excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling and persuasive proposals. Additionally, you will have strong relationship building skills, with the ability to engage and grow income from a wide range of supporters.

A high level of computer literacy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM is essential.

Charity Lead

Free To Fly is a registered charity supporting expectant mothers to leave abusive relationships and protect their unborn babies. Following successful fundraising and network-building in Portsmouth, they have appointed Charisma to support the recruitment of a Charity Lead, to lead and launch their Portsmouth project.

As their first paid employee, the Charity Lead, reporting to the Board of Trustees, will lead the day to day operational, strategic and business functions of the charity. Medaille Trust is one of the leading providers of support to survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK. We are working to provide refuge and freedom for survivors and fighting to see slavery in all its forms become a thing of the past. We have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Housing Manager to lead our . Our 24/7 high support services provide supported accommodation for 35 young people at risk of homelessness across two sites – Lansworth House and Gareth Stacey House.

As a Supported Housing Manager, you will oversee the daily operations, ensuring our accommodation is safe, welcoming and secure. You will work closely with and lead two Deputy Supported Housing Managers, while supporting the wider team to deliver consistent, compassionate support.

In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:

-- Leadership and People Management: Lead and manage a team, recruiting and inducting new staff, and supporting their performance to ensure high standards of service at all times.

-- Service Provision: Responsible for the daily operations of the service so that it meets the requirements of the service specification, and:

- reflects Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

- identifies, maps and encourages the strengths and talents of each young person, enabling them to acquire the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

-- Partnerships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner organisations that add value to the core, commissioned service (or have the potential to) attending relevant multi-disciplinary meetings as needed.

-- General: Be a member of the out of hours ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality.

You will bring substantial experience in leading and developing teams within supported housing or similar services for young people and/or adults at risk. You will be a confident and effective communicator with strong facilitation and decision-making skills, able to lead your team through challenging situations with calmness and clarity. You will have proven experience in overseeing safeguarding procedures within residential services and will model professional standards, maintaining clear boundaries while fostering a culture of trust, safety and supportive relationships.

The Role

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

Specifically, you will:

· Play an active part in running our shop in Hornbeam, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

· Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.

· Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.

· Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment.

· Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

· Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.

· Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.  

· Experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

· To be highly organised with good time management skills.

· To be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

· To be able to use own initiative.

· To be resilient and adaptable to change.

· To have good planning, guiding and motivation skills to successfully achieve targeted income is desirable.

· A willingness and ability to occasionally travel across the Yorkshire region as needed for training sessions and team meetings.

· A willingness and ability to safely lone work.

· A willingness to complete our pre-employment checks (to be undertaken once the role is offered and accepted) which include:

o A check on your employment history, by seeking two references

o A check on your eligibility to work in the UK as per the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006

This newly formed leadership role will manage the financial operations across specific subsidiaries of Oasis. It will ensure financial accuracy, sustainability, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of timely financial information to support decision-making across the group.

To be successful in this role, applicants will require:

· A recognised professional accounting qualification or part-qualification, together with a thorough practical understanding of financial and management accounting principles and techniques.

· Advanced working knowledge/experience of Excel and computerised accounting systems (preferably PS Financials) with the ability to interpret and extract relevant financial information.

· Ability to communicate complex financial information to a wide audience with varying financial backgrounds, both internally and externally

· Excellent inter-personal and people management experience
