The important stuff 

Salary: £26,000, pro rata (£20,800)

Key Responsibilities

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.

Oversight of Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site management and set-up

• Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.

THE ROLE
The Contracts Manager will join our Operations team to represent the Woodland Trust locally, supporting a diverse portfolio of sites within North England, in line with the Trust’s standards and ensuring the safety of our colleagues, visitors, contractors and volunteers. It shall be the Contracts Manager’s responsibility to support Site Managers’ in the preparation and delivery of grant applications, operational contracts and projects including silvicultural operations. 

The Contracts Manager will initiate, develop and project manage new innovative projects within and across the woodlands, working with external partner and a cross-departmental team of foresters, people engagement specialists, communications specialists and funders.

They will identify opportunities to streamline services, develop our contractor base and maximise the income and grant aid potential of work programmes. They are responsible for ensuring that all necessary agreements, mitigations and consents are in place in preparation for the delivery of contracts and in accordance with all Woodland Trust Health and Safety policies and procedures.

A company car will be provided with this role.

THE CANDIDATE
With previous experience in land-based management in the forestry, woodland management, or nature conservation sector, you’ll have experience in writing and reviewing site management plans, budget and contract management, and Health and Safety management. You’ll have experience in the writing and delivery grant schemes across woodland creation and for specifying, instructing, and supervising woodland management operations. You’ll be experienced in planning, monitoring, and delivering multi-disciplinary projects to time and to budget and in engaging with contractors and suppliers on pricing, implementation, and delivery.

You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships internally and externally.  You’ll have experience engaging with external stakeholders, communities and volunteers with a collaborative approach. A working knowledge of the operational, ie Forest Works Management of woodlands would be desirable.

A full driving licence is a must have, along with the ability to undertake travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations.  Occasional overnight stays will be required and you will be expected to live in the region and within easy reach of key sites in North England.

Signalise Co-op Booking Coordinator

Signalise is a platform co-op providing British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive team. You will work closely with our Communication Services Team Leader to provide a high quality and efficient service, helping the business to achieve agreed targets whilst working to the co-operative’s ethos.

Responsibilities will include coordinating the provision of communication professionals for Deaf/Hard of Hearing people across the North West for medical (including mental health) appointments and for other work in a variety of sectors (education, child protection, conference, employment,  legal settings etc). Accepting and making calls. Dealing with bookings and general enquiries in a fast-paced environment. Supporting marketing and business development and communicating to members and external stakeholders. Supporting other staff where necessary.

Fundraising Manager – Job Description

Contract: 3 days a week

Location: Hybrid/home-based with at least half a day a week on site in Newham.

Reports to: Finance and Operations Mananger

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve annual income targets in alignment with organisational goals.

· Work with the COO to develop long-term income forecasts to support organisational

Person Specification

· Experience of trust and foundations fundraising in a charity is essential. Additional experience of other forms of fundraising is a bonus.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and reports.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders including donors, volunteers, and partners.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies and plans.

· Experience using Salesforce is a bonus.

About the role
Save the Children has an ambitious strategy, which requires us to take and manage an appropriate level of risk, often in complex environments, in order to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and communities that we work with. We are a large, complex charity and risk touches every part of the organisation and all aspects of what we do.

This is a new role within our General Counsel's Division and you will work with a wide variety of specialist teams across SCUK (e.g., Safeguarding, Legal, Health & Safety) who investigate incidents reported through SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system).

You will act as the product owner for the system and will be the main point of contact with the software provider, responsible for ensuring that the system is configured and operating effectively to meet business needs and ensure that we can maximise use of the incident data.

A key objective for this new role will be to develop insightful reports and dashboards that help us analyse and monitor incident data relating to key areas of risk in SCUK's work, for example safeguarding, fraud, and health and safety. The aim will be to develop reporting and analysis that can identify trends and root causes to help us learn from incidents and improve the ways in which we respond to risks.

Key accountabilities will include:

Act as Product owner of SCUK's incident reporting and case management IT system (IRCM system):

• Responsible for the overall management of the system and ensuring that it is configured and operating effectively;
• Collaborate with specialist teams (e.g. Safeguarding, Fraud, Health & Safety) to understand business needs, gathering feedback on issues and functionality requirements, and exploring solutions and improvements;
• Manage the relationships with the ICRM software provider, SCUK technology team, and specialist teams to support the ongoing use of the system and to coordinate system updates and improvements;
• Review how we are utilising the system and the current licensing arrangements and make recommendations to optimise efficiency and cost effectiveness;
• Ensure training and user guides are available for new users and communicate system functionality updates to all users;
• Maintain high standards of data protection compliance in the configuration and use of the system through the completion and maintenance of privacy impact assessments;
• Develop mechanisms to monitor data quality for consistency and accuracy.

Incident analysis and reporting:

• Use appropriate data analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI to enable regular analysis of incident data to detect and monitor trends, including the proactive identification of emerging areas of risk and their causes;
• Develop clear and user-friendly reporting formats, such as dashboards and trend analysis, tailored to different audiences, including the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee, and specialist teams;
• Convert data into actionable intelligence that enables the organisation to learn from incidents and highlights areas for improvement.
   

Reporting and case management processes:

• Monitor data quality from incident reports and liaise with specialist teams and incident reporters to ensure information is accurate and complete;
• Carry out initial triage of new incident reports, ensuring they are allocated to the correct specialist teams;
• Ensure mechanisms for reporting incidents through the IRCM system continue to meet the needs of incident reporters and specialist teams, as well as the teams managing regulator and donor reporting requirements;
• Track timely progress of cases to closure in line with agreed protocols

Stakeholder communication:

• Develop a communications plan to promote awareness around incident reporting throughout the organisation and relevant external stakeholders
• Manage the incident reporting and case management Sharepoint site and intranet pages, ensuring the provision of helpful and up to date information about incident reporting and investigation processes and procedures
• Act as focal point for promoting awareness of incident reporting as an important part of protecting people and assets, and in doing so contribute to a culture of openness and learning;
• Coordinate regular meetings for system users from specialist teams to share IRCM system knowledge and best practice, discuss common issues, trouble-shoot and monitor case management Key Performance Indicators;
• Assist with the timely completion of incident reports for institutional donors such as FCDO and other relevant external agencies/regulators

About you
You will need to be self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently, whilst also enjoying teamwork and able to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across SCUK in order to understand business needs and develop appropriate solutions.

As the key point of contact for system users, providing training and guidance, and managing user access you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will also build awareness around incident reporting processes and responsibilities with staff and volunteers throughout SCUK, helping to ensure that reporting is integrated in all SCUK's programmes.

Purpose of the Role:

Bow Foodbank is proud  to have developed a highly trusted relationship with our guests and the community. We are often the first point of call for people when they are starting to struggle financially. We want to use our trusted place in the community to support our guests with more than just food, helping to connect them into a wide range of services and community groups - aiming to help guests to build their resilience and move them away from the causes of poverty. This will be done by inviting specialist partners to offer their services at our centre, as well as training and overseeing our volunteers in signposting guests to services that will help them build their resilience. We want to do this in a way that builds dignity so will aim to follow up with them the impact of any referrals and how they have improved guest wellbeing. Our aim is to limit the length of time guests depend on any foodbank and increase the community’s access to support services and community groups.

This role will train and oversee the work of our volunteers in signposting guests to high quality services. They will be responsible for holding guest voice strategy and will feed into the senior leadership team the opinions of our guests so we can continually improve the service we offer them.

This role will build partnerships with organisations to create support pathways. We want to maximise use of our building by creating a support ‘marketplace’ inviting partners into the foodbank and increasing guest access to the broadest range of services.

We have an exciting part time opportunity for a Triage & Early Intervention Team Leader based across two sites, Wakefield and Shipley. The role is to manage our Initial Responders who deal with large volumes of referrals daily.

About the Role:

The role is office based across the Wakefield and Shipley sites. We are currently operating on a hybrid rota which includes some days working from home. There may be occasional travel required for training and development purposes.

As a Team Leader you will ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff, ensuring that the overall aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime is achieved.

You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service.

You will be responsible for:

• case management system audits & reports, providing information to the Operations Manager on required case statistics & compliance
• ensuring that the team are recording case information fully and accurately, as well as complying with contract reporting requirements and VS national standards
• line management of operational team members including responsibility for recruitment, performance management and monitoring, continued support and guidance and implementing formal employment procedures
• promoting effective communication channels including co-ordinate and facilitate regular team meetings, collating local issues, feedback and learning to share with other colleagues and the Operations Manager

You will need:

• Experience of delivering a service in a statutory, voluntary, community or private social care setting
• To report on and audit the case management system, demonstrating complete and accurate data and information recorded.
• To provide an effective and excellent service to referred victims in keeping with the contract requirement and service delivery agreements
• Effective and supportive people management to the operations team ensuring excellent performance management and monitoring, strong working relationships and a culture of support and guidance.
