Operations Manager
We are working in partnership with The Almshouse Association, who can trace its roots back to February 1946 when, at a meeting held in the Chapter House of Southwark Cathedral, representatives of London’s Almshouses formed a committee to safeguard the interests of Almshouse buildings and the welfare of residents.
Today, The Almshouse Association is an essential component of the Almshouse movement; they continue to provide support, information and guidance on a broad range of general and specific issues, to over 1600 independent Almshouse member charities that provide homes for around 36,000 residents across the United Kingdom.
They are seeking a new Operations Manager to join their senior management team, the role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, offering the opportunity to strengthen a historic and socially important part of the charitable housing landscape.
You will have experience in:
- Operational leadership and organisational management
- Strategic planning and effective delivery
- The ability to understand and deal with complex documents and solve problems
- Member support and engagement
- Risk, compliance and governance
- Financial and resource management
The successful candidate will have significant experience in operational leadership within a charity, membership body, housing organisation, or similarly values-driven environment. You will have a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the charitable sector. The ability to lead teams, manage change, and build effective cross-functional working. You will also have excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills and a commitment to the ethos and values of Almshouses and the broader charitable housing sector.
The position is ideal for a collaborative, values-driven leader with a passion for the charitable sector and a commitment to improving the lives of residents supported by Almshouses.

Visitor Operations Manager
Location: WWT Slimbridge, GL2 -Hybrid
Salary: £34,405 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Work Pattern: Full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week. (Part-time and hybrid working will be considered).
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Interpretation and Programming, you will work to raise standards of presentation across all ten of our wetland sites whilst ensuring our messaging genuinely excites our visitors about the incredible Superpowers of Wetlands. Not only will you play a key role in influencing our visitors understanding, you will need to inspire staff and volunteers across all sites to be “Visitor First” in their attitudes and behaviours.
About You
We are seeking an individual with:
- Proven experience of working in a similar role, in a visitor facing organisation, influencing visitor experience through the customer journey
- Experience of working to deliver brand messaging in onsite experiences
- Demonstrable experience of project management and delivery
- Confidently able to inspire, motivate and engage a team in a matrix management structure
- Proven experience of supervising external consultants and suppliers
- Evidence of producing high quality work, either alone or in collaboration with others
- Strong creative and innovative mindset with a passion for finding new ways of enhancing standards
- Strong stakeholder management experience, internally and externally, at all levels

TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester is seeking a committed and experienced professional to join our team as Services & Operations Manager.
Based across our sites in Trafford, you will provide clinical and operational oversight of TRC’s service areas (counselling, ISVA, helpline & digital, and Pathfinder) and provide direct day-to-day service management. Operations & Finance Manager
Contract: 12 Month (view to extend)
Function/Team: Development
Location: London, UK
Hours: Part-time (3-4 days/week)
Reporting to: Director of Development
Salary: £33,410 - £36,678 (pro rata)
STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention efforts disrupt the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.
This role will sit within the Development Team to support the smooth and efficient operation of the charity. This role will assist in managing financial processes and lead on key people operations to maintain a transparent, inclusive, and positive working environment.
This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time work who holds previous experience working in a finance team, but is seeking a more diverse role that also includes opportunity to enhance operating systems, policies, and practices of the organisation for smooth running.
Finance Operations
· Oversee the Operations Officer to reconcile transactions, issue invoices, process payments, and file quarterly Gift Aid claims ensuring accuracy.
· Prepare regular budgets, cash flows, and clear financial reporting for the Senior Leadership Team to support data-driven decision-making.
· Manage STOP THE TRAFFIK’s bank accounts, ensuring the safe handling and ethical investment of reserves.
· Produce quarterly financial papers for the Board of Trustees and lead on the annual audit process, preparing all necessary documentation for external auditors.
· Liaise with the Oasis Finance Department who support STOP THE TRAFFIK to ensure smooth coordination of accounting processes and compliance with organisational standards.
People Operations
· Review organisational policies annually, ensuring they reflect current legislation and best practice, with support from the Operations Officer.
· Serve as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer (with access to pro-bono legal and data protection advisors).
· Oversee recruitment processes, supporting hiring managers to ensure equitable, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.
· Coordinate quarterly team surveys, analyse feedback, and make recommendations to strengthen workplace culture and wellbeing.
· Maintain our network of pro-bono legal advisors and support staff in accessing timely advice on contracts or compliance matters.
· Manage the internal legal sign-off process and maintain clear records and documentation.
Note, this role will be supported by our parent company’s financial team who will continue to manage payroll, HR records, and sign-off all accounts.
