We are looking for a motivated and experienced women’s case worker and manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for the development, implementation and running of Yada’s outreach services, The Esther Project (TEP), management of the TEP staff and volunteer teams and for the development of our network and partnership work across the West Sussex coast.

Experience of supporting women with complex needs and managing a small team is essential, along with the ability to work within Yada’s vision, mission and Christian ethos.
 

Outreach Manager (Women’s Services)

The Outreach Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and running of Yada’s outreach services, The Esther Project (TEP), management of the TEP Team and for the development of our network and partnership work.

Line Manager: Operations Manager/CEO

Hours/Days: Full Time (28-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £30,102.80 pro rata

Start date: 21st July 2025

Contract: Two years fixed term, to be extended, subject to funding

Key responsibilities:

Outreach: The Esther Project

• Implement strategy for development of The Esther Project

• Oversee Netreach (online outreach), initial contact, visits to service users and manage ongoing contact, ensuring data protection and PECR/GDPR guidelines are adhered to 

• Manage referrals in and out of TEP, including management of own caseload and allocation of referrals within the Outreach Team

• Line management of TEP Outreach staff inc monthly supervision and debriefings

• To support the team to assess the needs of service users and ensure the appropriate support provision is given

• Work collaboratively with other support agencies including charities and statutory services for the benefit of the service users, including safeguarding activities

• Manage Monitoring and Evaluation of TEP

• To host/lead monthly TEP Team meetings

• To participate in bi-monthly safeguarding meetings

• Act as Safeguarding Deputy, responsible for safeguarding management across The Esther Project

• Keep an up-to-date record of all visits on Lamplight, recording safeguarding incidents and any further actions needed

• Review risk assessments and safety plans for outreach

• Oversee management and support with delivery of TEP workshops

• Oversee in-house counselling process and monitoring

• Ensure all outreach materials and resources are up to date and available for staff and volunteers

• Support Yada CEO with management of TEP Budget

• Assist in the training of all staff and volunteers forTEP

• Act as Yada’s First Aider (training provided)

Network, Training, Research & Learning

• To work alongside the Training Lead on developing and delivering training around supporting women in the sex industry 

• To build and maintain strong connections with local services, especially in relation to TEP including Probation, Prison Services, Council, Police, homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and substance misuse charities

• Attend monthly partner drop-ins across coastal West Sussex

• To keep up-to-date with research that is relevant to the field and allow this to inform practice of the Yada team

• Represent TEP at partner meetings as appropriate

• Support monthly review of Yada policy in relation to TEP

• Support outreach work with local Police

• Support Yada partnership development with Sussex Police

• With the Operations Manager/CEO, when appropriate, represent TEP on regular Sussex wide network meetings such as Sussex Police Sex Working Portfolio & Subgroup and  Pan Sussex Sexual Violence/Abuse (SVA) meeting

TEP Volunteer Coordinator

• To ensure that all aspects of the recruitment, selection and induction process of TEP volunteers functions effectively and safely

• To manage TEP volunteer rota for netreach 

• To advertise new posts and oversee the selection process

• To take a lead on interviews and follow up of applications

• To liaise with Yada Operations Manager/CEO to ensure DBS checks are up to date

• To run and manage TEP volunteer induction process

• Support development and regular review of  the volunteer policy

• To offer regular training and supervision for TEP volunteers

Other Duties

• To support the Yada Operations Manager/CEO with strategy and the development of Yada

• To attend monthly team meetings and be an active member in decision making for Yada’s future

• To prepare TEP reports for quarterly Trustee meetings and fundraising feedback reports

Outreach Manager Person Specification

• Proven experience of working with vulnerable women such as within homelessness sector

Two Rhythms is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to spearhead their operational and financial success, ensuring the charity's sustainability and growth. This pivotal role involves driving earned income, managing financial health, and expanding the reach of their therapeutic arts programs across South Wales and the UK.

The Business Manager will oversee the operational and financial management of the charity, ensuring the organisation is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with its mission. They will focus on earned income generation and working to increase it in line with the business plan. They will be outward-facing, generating new business with local authorities, care providers, schools, hospitals and hospices. They will work closely with the CEO, and Head of Programme to introduce the 2R programme to new guests across South Wales, and with the Membership Officer to extend our membership programme across the UK.

The Business Manager will play a crucial role in managing the charity's financial health, ensuring resources are effectively utilised to support its mission and goals. This hands-on role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance while supporting their leadership team colleagues with financial insights and strategies.

They will prepare reports for the management team, CEO and Trustees as required and they will liaise with our external accountants, helping to prepare annual accounts and other statutory documents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OPERATIONAL

1. Business and Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
•  Design and implement new processes to monitor trading performance.
• To act a responsible point of contact for managing day-to-day facilities and building issues.
• Management of external contracts relating to facilities and running of the organisation. 
• Review environmental considerations of the organisation in-line with the requirements and policies of our funders, landlords and partner organisations.
• Support the administration of session bookings, liaising with finance and management colleagues.

2. Compliance and Governance:

• Working as part of the charity’s Safeguarding team helping to ensure best practice across the charity’s activities and operations. (Appropriate training will be provided)
• Ensure the charity complies with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage risk and protect the charity’s financial reputation and assets.
• Maintain accurate records and policies, working closely with trustees or board members.

FINANCE

3. Financial Management and Planning:

• Prepare and manage budgets in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
• Develop financial forecasts and plans to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage invoicing, liaising with external clients and contractors with respect to debt management, reviewing and improving booking processes where necessary. 

4. Accounting and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
• Produce annual financial statements and manage the year-end accounting process.

5. Donor and Grant Management:

• Track restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
• Provide financial reports and updates for donors and grant applications.

PEOPLE

6. Supporting Stakeholders:

• Work closely with trustees and the senior leadership team, providing clear insights.
• Contribute to the charity's overall strategic planning and growth.
• Attend board meetings, ensuring accurate minutes and record keeping.

7. Leadership and Team Support:

• Work closely with Senior Management colleagues to provide strategic advice and insights.
• Manage and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY

• Work with the team to drive sales, pursue new clients and increase the charity’s earned income, collaborating with Programme, Membership and Marketing colleagues and the CEO to further the charity’s work.

Home based role and living within the relevant region or close enough proximity to be able to travel and meet the requirements of this role’ (subject to meeting homeworking assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps). 

In this new but key role you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Negotiating Officer to manage and support our stewards, safety and equality representative networks across Yorkshire and Humber region, advising them in providing individual and collective industrial relations support to members, working both in and outside of the NHS. You will also be expected to spend approximately 25% of your time, managing cases from across the UK, but predominantly from nearby regions.

The postholder will work in collaboration with other health trade unions across the region.

You will work with the CSP regional team to recruit and organise members, influence on local workforce issues and promote physiotherapy.

You will provide representation for members at disciplinary hearings, grievances and disputes with employers, and provide general advice and information to representatives and members on issues such as pay, terms and conditions, and employment legislation.

With significant trade union experience at a senior level, and an understanding of NHS structures and government policy on health, you will have excellent communication, negotiation, training and presentational skills, combined with a strong collaborative approach and a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, equality and diversity principles and the ability to put them into practice.

About the Role

This is a dual-role position supporting both the Finance and HR functions of the charity. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget management, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance who is looking to broaden their experience in HR.

What you will do

Finance

· Post transactions into our accounting software, Xero, ensuring that everything is accurately recorded and coded.

· Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, card payments and expenses, and organise a twice- monthly pay run.

· Perform bank reconciliations.

· Manage the accounts mailbox.

· Complete the quarterly gift aid claims.

· Support the Head of Finance and Resources with the completion of the monthly management accounts, financial reporting and budgeting.

· Maintain financial and other administrative records, e.g. fixed asset register.

HR

· Maintain up-to-date employee records and keep our HR Information System (Breathe HR) up to date.

· Support the HR Lead by producing monthly or quarterly reports from Breathe HR.

· Support recruitment processes including posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, obtaining references and assisting with onboarding and induction of new staff.

· Work with the HR Lead to ensure that HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation.

· Organise mandatory training for staff and maintain training records.

Flexibility

Our staff who live in or near London operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays. Full-time staff work in the office both those days and at home the rest of the week, while part-time staff who live in or near London are required to work in the office on one of those days, and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. We would ideally like the Finance and HR Officer to work in the London office on either Monday or Tuesday (or both if they would prefer that) but we are flexible as to when in the week the remainder of the hours are worked, provided that there is a consistent working pattern each week.

About Slough Foodbank

Slough Foodbank is a charity whose object is the prevention or relief of poverty in the United Kingdom, mainly in Slough and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by providing emergency food supplies to individuals in need, as motivated by the principles of the Christian Faith.

Slough Foodbank believes that no one in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. In 2024, we gave out 12,147 food parcels.  Sadly, this is almost double the number in given out in 2020.  In addition to providing food and basic toiletries, we try to understand the situation of the people referred to us so that we can signpost them to other organisations where appropriate, in order to give a helping hand through a crisis.

· Primary contact for our parent organisation, Trussell

· Accountable to the Trustees, who have ultimate accountability for the Foodbank

· Volunteer and employee management

· Ensuring there are sufficient donations of food, toiletries, etc, and also financial donations

· Meeting clients’ needs through managing distribution of food parcels including oversight of the warehouse, distribution centres & signposting

· Recruiting and developing volunteers (and any approved employees)

· Building key external relationships with key referral agencies, local forums and networks

· PR & Communications – representing the foodbank externally, raising the profile of food poverty and lobbying for those in need

Role summary

To support the Head of Fundraising and Communications in the delivery of the communications and fundraising strategy at ReMind UK through planning, production and delivery of on and offline marketing communications. You will work with ReMind UK's Content Executive to plan content and delivery of regular social posts and emails to supporters and beneficiaries as well as design and production of leaflets, posters and adverts. You will manage campaigns to raise the profile of ReMind UK, engaging supporters, partners, local organisations and the public in the organisation's work and reaching out to those affected by dementia ensuring people are aware of our memory services, research studies and post diagnosis support and inspiring people to support our work through fundraising and volunteering.

 

ReMind UK overview

ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Our contracted NHS Memory Clinic service, private memory assessments and allied activities also provide support to people affected. We are currently in an ambitious phase of development looking to Increase our clinical and academic research programme. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research Institutions, both nationally and internationally and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

The role

As Marketing Officer, you will play an important role in helping ReMind UK to realise its vision by overseeing marketing for ReMind UK. You will line manage a Content Executive and together you will design, produce and disseminate materials and communications to raise the profile of the organisation and its work, and in turn raise funding to enable ReMind UK to continue its vital research and support for people affected by dementia.

You will plan and deliver an annual calendar of social posts and adverts, emails, marketing and PR activities including digital and print through organic and paid for media, and working with local organisations and groups. Working closely with ReMind UK's Content Officer you will coordinate website updates and content additions.

Key responsibilities

· Line management of ReMind UK's Content Executive to create an annual plan for coordinated marketing campaigns across channels.

· Responsibility for day-to-day management of the charity’s social media channels including Facebook, BlueSky and LinkedIn, delivering consistent promotion of the organisation, ensuring content remains fresh and engaging and moderating accounts to ensure positive PR for the organisation.

· Develop excellent working relationships with external suppliers, publications, local and national press, magazines, TV and Radio to create new opportunities for ReMind UK to publicise its services and support across the region.

· Working with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, produce and deliver a communications strategy that incorporates digital marketing, PR activity and fundraising communications.

· Manage ReMind UK's email management tool - regularly designing and sending tailored emails to beneficiaries and supporters.

• Update and maintain contact and email data on the supporter CRM with supporter and beneficiary contact details and unsubscribes retained in accordance with Data Protection policy and patient and families wishes.

· Measure and report analytics as required by Head of Fundraising & Communications including email and social media engagement rates, website use and content management indicators, exposure to marketing ads placed and awareness created through partnerships with local social prescribers and partner organisations.

· With the Content Executive maintain ReMind UK's website ensuring content is consistently refreshed, added to and tested to ensure optimisation and coherent journeys and user experience for each of our audiences.

· Design marketing materials and internal publications as requested by the ReMind UK staff team.

· Act as brand guardian in the production and use of materials, documents and marketing across the organisation.

· Ensure ReMind UK is marketing its services and support through the use of posters, leaflets and video and maintain the leaflets and materials available in the reception area.

· Manage marketing campaigns through from planning to reporting on impact and results.

Support Line Officer

The Support Line Officer will support the delivery of the organisation’s Support Line service, responding to enquiries from service users, organisations and health care professionals across a range of topics related to spinal cord injury, and contributing to the provision of written information, including factsheets and articles for SIA’s bi-monthly magazine and website.  They will signpost to, and work closely with, other relevant services within the organisation and external partners.

Some key duties will include:

• Responding to all enquiries to the Support Line service in a prompt and efficient manner, and within the remit of its policies, procedures and practices.
• Providing information, support and advice to all service users using a range of recourses to find, interpret and communication the relevant information, liaising with appropriate outside agencies as and when necessary, in order to further research enquiries.
• Researching and exploring options and implications so that service users can make informed decisions.
• Supporting the Frank Williams Academy with the updating and development of new factsheets.
• Supporting the work of the Advocacy service, providing first line support for NHS CHC cases and referring to the service for more in-depth support.
• Supporting the work of the Support Network team, arranging appointments and referring callers when appropriate.
