About the role
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at the heart of SSAFA supporting our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in leading the organisation.
As Chief of Staff, you will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, bridging operational delivery with strategic oversight. You will coordinate cross-organisational priorities, ensuring effective communication, accountability, and decision-making across directorates.
Working with senior colleagues, you will provide high-level executive and operational support, represent the CEO when required, and maintain oversight of key organisational initiatives. This role is essential in enabling the CEO to focus on strategic leadership, while you ensure the smooth running of business functions and act as a trusted liaison across the organisation.
About the team
You’ll be working at the centre of SSAFA, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the COO and CEO's Executive Assistant. The role is highly collaborative, requiring strong relationships across the Senior Management Team and all directorates. You will be part of a leadership environment that values trust, open communication, and shared accountability, ensuring the organisation delivers effectively.

We offer support to 16 customers across two locations: Hope House, a 10-bed supported housing facility, and Doddsfield Road, which has 6 floating support flats.
Hope House provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, following a shift rota system (staff on sleep-ins receive additional pay beyond the advertised salary). Doddsfield Road offers floating support during working hours.
The team consists of one Contract Manager, one Team Leader, and four Support Workers. Staff collaborate closely with the Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT), and a designated Occupational Therapist works alongside the support staff. Customers also attend Hope College, facilitated by the Slough Mental Health Team, as part of their recovery process and preparation for independent living.
This position presents a valuable opportunity for support workers to gain extensive experience in the mental health sector, thanks to the strong partnership with SCMHT. We have also introduced training directly from SCMHT to help support staff better understand mental health diagnoses and manage crises with our customers on-site.

We are recruiting for a temporary supporter care officer for a leading social welfare charity , looking for someone to cove workload for the next 6 to 8 weeks. You will be responsible for accurately capturing data across different channels and the processing of all donations received by post, phone, and BACS and supporting the team where needed.

The Role
To ensure all donations, enquiries, and supporter correspondence are promptly and accurately processed, recorded, and thanked in line with our policies and within agreed performance indicators.
Carry out the above processes from our Central Office in Ewell on regular basis (in-office work performed on a roto basis, requiring one office day approximately every 3 weeks, as well as 1-2 team days every 6 weeks).
Record and report on written and verbal supporter feedback so that learnings from complaints and positive comments can be implemented into future marketing campaigns.
Identify and implement opportunities to build supporter engagement through creative communications, maximising the effectiveness of our fundraising campaigns.
Maintain existing business-as-usual processes, identifying opportunities to maximise efficiencies where possible.
Work with the Legacy & In Memory Marketing Team to welcome and steward new supporter enquiries, as well as manage processes in relation to tribute funds, allocation of payments and administration of our will-writing service.
Work with the Community & Events Fundraising Team to ensure that income raised on Facebook is processed and thanked appropriately, and to ensure enquiries through the service desk are managed to completion.
Work with the Finance team to ensure delivery of various reconciliation processes.
The Candidate
Knowledge of principles of excellent customer service.

About the Role
BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. Some event and project management will be required, in particular supporting the delivery of seminars and training programmes, as well as community events.

Play a strategic and leading role in the development and delivery of support programmes across Big Issue Changing Live CIC.
Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for a Director for Programmes and Partnerships to lead the development and delivery of national programmes of support across Big Issue Recruit and Street Sales, test new ways of working and develop key partnerships to improve outcomes for people experiencing poverty across the UK.
You will also identify fundraising priorities, build national strategic partnerships, deliver a volunteer programme to improve engagement across local communities and lead on safeguarding across the CIC.
As an individual you will have experience of delivering services to achieve agreed targets, and of generating income to develop and grow these services, have excellent networking skills, possess a good understanding of third-party organizations relating to homelessness, universal credit, mental health, substance abuse and employment, and knowledge of poverty and homelessness issues and the difficulties vulnerably housed people face.

Why this role is important: Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. Brake provides trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one and campaigns tirelessly for positive change to prevent future collisions and save lives. This role will play a vital part in raising funding and the profile of our work effecting positive change for a safer future on our roads.
The role: Your ultimate purpose is to secure funding for the charity. Your main source of funding will be business development. You’ll promote various levels of partner packages to corporate businesses who are interested in supporting the charities vital work campaigning for change and supporting people bereaved and seriously injured by road crashes. You’ll prospect, pitch and close new business.
You’ll need to learn and understand the value of the partner packages, and how they can be best tailored to different potential partners.
You’ll also manage and maximise the accounts of our current partners, including the likes of BT, Autoglass and Royal Mail.
You’ll need corporate/B2B sales experience, along with the attentiveness and diligence required to manage longer term accounts.

About The Role
The Programme Manager will form part of our European programme team, working closely with our functional leads to deliver impactful strategies that target emissions reductions from heavy emitting industries in the EU. This role will focus mainly on the issue of Chemicals Decarbonisation - where experience is preferable but not required - and take the lead on delivering EU-targeted activities and outputs. This role is initially set as a 12-month contract, with potential to extend, and will report into our Head of Policy and Research.

Job responsibilities
● Support with the planning and delivery of an innovative, cohesive and progressive programme of delivery for Travellers and Staying Connected (focusing on personal and social development skills), and budgeting to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the programme.
