Making Music is the UK association for leisure-time music, with 4,000 music groups in membership including choirs, bands, orchestras, and ensembles of all kinds. 

We are looking for a full-time Member Communications & Engagement Manager to join our Marketing team. This is a hands-on role focused on helping our members feel informed, supported and inspired while also contributing to our recruitment and advocacy goals. 

You’ll lead on email communications, member onboarding journeys and engagement initiatives that celebrate and involve our members. You’ll also write and deliver campaign communications, support press activity, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure our messaging is clear, consistent and impactful. 

What kind of talent are you looking for? 

You’ll be a confident communicator with a flair for writing and a strong understanding of how to engage audiences through email and digital content. You’ll be comfortable using data to improve performance, and you’ll enjoy working collaboratively in a small, friendly team. 

We’re looking for someone who is: 

• Skilled in email marketing and audience segmentation

What are the terms and conditions? 

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), with flexible working available. We expect at least 2 days per week to be worked from our office in Moorgate, London. The salary is £32,000/year.

The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping the the society achieve its strategic goals by developing, managing and sustaining partnerships to deliver external funding. They will manage existing relationships, identify opportunities, lead bid writing, develop compelling funding proposals, and build relationships with funders, partners, and philanthropic donors. They will work closely with colleagues to identify priority initiatives that require external funding to proceed and maintain a clear pipeline of funding needs across the organisation.

They are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of securing new income and business in terms of five & six figure grants and gifts from a variety of funders, including trusts and foundations, research councils, corporates, or major donors. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in pipeline management and writing high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will understand impact and outcomes-based funding models (e.g. theory of change), and how to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.

You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our mental health charity, to support and deliver effective, efficient financial processes and compliance with financial regulations and data protection to ensure the smooth and effective running of the organisation. 

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will involve managing financial transactions and reconciliation, maintaining accurate project records, supporting the production of management accounts, costing new work, budgeting and reporting as well as overseeing payroll.

�� What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and continuously improve the end-to-end recruitment process (ensuring the timely and effective hiring and on-boarding of top-tier talent), and transactional and enabling HR services (enabling engaged and high performing teams) for Oak, ensuring regulatory and best practice compliance.

• Maximise organisational effectiveness and engagement through enabling and empowering managers across Oak to coach and support their teams and colleagues to do their life’s best work.

• Lead and contribute to projects and strategies to enhance Oak’s culture, employee experience and impact, including: EDI, performance management, reward, well-being, and employee engagement.

• Maintain specialist expertise in HR and Employment Law and be the authority across Oak whilst drawing on external expertise where required.

• As a member of the Oak Team, you will contribute to the wider success and culture of the organisation and support and role model our five values: create the right environment, be a great colleague, own your role but work for the team, make things happen, and keep getting better.

• Work in cross-functional and product oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.

• Deputise for senior Operations colleagues and take on other general responsibilities as required.

�� What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience in leading the continuous improvement and service delivery of an HR department, with expertise in employment law, diversity and inclusion, and best practice people management/engagement.

• Experience of managing a 5 figure budget.

• Experienced in recruiting and developing a high performing and inclusive organisation as well as experience in managing and coaching direct reports.

• Highly effective listening and communication skills with a high level of empathy and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

• Collaborative and innovative approach to continuous improvement with a pragmatic and enabling style.

• CIPD qualified or a Masters in Human Resources Management.

• Experienced/qualified in coaching desirable.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Volunteer Development Officer in our North region to deliver on the volunteering strategy for the Woodland Trust and Northern England region, that connects to the Trust strategy whilst responds to regional need, adapts to the changing trends in volunteering, and maximises opportunities for volunteers to add value to our work.

The Role: 
•    The role will support compliance including record keeping, induction and training, as well as develop new opportunities based on regional priorities and deliver a range of communication and face to face activities to create a safe and positive volunteering experience.
•    You will run a range of activity to develop effective communication methods including writing articles, delivering events, supporting peer to peer support and shared learning so volunteers are engaged and feel valued.  
•    You are responsible for being the link between the National Volunteering Team and regional volunteer managers to ensure that managers feel supported and volunteers have a meaningful, safe and enjoyable experience.
