The Role

We are seeking a bold, inspiring, values-led Chief Executive Officer to take the charity into its next chapter, building on our strong foundations to grow the organisation’s impact and influence. You will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to deliver our current strategic plan and shape the next phase of organisational growth.

As CEO, you will be a powerful ambassador for the charity, ensuring that the voices of young women are heard at the highest levels. You will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, balancing high-quality service delivery with campaigning, policy influence and financial sustainability. You will strengthen partnerships with funders, policymakers, partners and the media, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture within the organisation.

We are already a high-impact organisation, with a strong strategy in place, a collaborative Board, a talented and committed staff team and a large network of over 10,000 young women supporting our mission, alongside many allies. Thanks to our endowment and growing fundraising track record, we are also in a financially stable position.

The Person

We are looking for a visionary and strategic leader who thrives on building strong relationships and collaboration. To be successful in this role you will need:

• A proven track record of leadership at senior level in the charity or social purpose sector, ideally as a CEO.
• A proven ability to develop and deliver ambitious organisational strategies and achieve transformational impact.
• An ability to balance high-quality service delivery with campaigning and policy influence.
• Credibility, presence and gravitas to represent the organisation externally and enhance its profile and influence.
• A deep commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and the empowerment of young women.
• Experience building high-value partnerships with funders, policymakers and stakeholders at all levels.
• A collaborative and facilitative leaderships style, able to inspire, support and positively challenge staff to achieve excellence.
• Expertise in financial and operational management, including income generation and sustainability planning.

The Role

In this role, you will support the Finance Manager in providing a proactive, efficient, and highly effective finance service across the Diocesan Board of Finance and Trust custodian company, as well as supporting the larger finance team who look after the Board of Education.

The role will be diverse, starting with managing the day-to-day functions but also assisting in all areas of the finance function, including bank reconciliations, VAT, forecasting and reporting.

You will play a key role within a Finance department totalling 9 staff, with input into the future running and design of how the department continues to move forward and grow.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated accountant or trainee accountant (or a financially astute individual with relevant experience) to join the friendly team in the Finance function.  You will embrace the challenge that such a varied role brings. 

With proven experience in producing timely, high-quality and accurate financial information, your ‘can-do’ approach to work will inspire you to deliver excellent, meaningful financial reports that will have high impact for stakeholders. About the Role

As a Night Young People Case Worker, you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director you will work as part of a team covering the night shift hours delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported accommodation.

The accommodation service is based in Bishop Auckland County Durham. You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained during the night shift and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on. The aim of the service is to ensure that every client leaves with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, including safeguarding and emergency procedures, and contribute to a safe environment for all.
• Lead on risk and needs assessments and create SMART support plans tailored to individual clients.
• Provide flexible, creative, and person-centred support, encouraging client involvement in decisions and community activities.

Our Advocacy services we provide advocacy direct to children and young people in a variety of situations. Coram Voice provides visiting advocacy services to most of the secure units nationally, to Secure Training Centres, Young Offender Institutions, psychiatric hospitals, residential special schools and children’s homes.

About the Role

You will work directly with care experienced children and young people and those on Child Protection Plans. You will provide advocacy in the way that the child or young person prefers, which may include face to face support in the community and remote advocacy via phone or Teams.

Guidelines Manager
Contract: Fixed-term contract, 6 months

The British Society for Haematology (BSH) is the largest UK multidisciplinary Haematology Society with over 3,000 members. Our activities include running education events and courses (including our flagship Annual Scientific Meeting held in April), producing guidelines, awarding grants, and raising the profile of haematology.

The role of the BSH Guidelines is to provide haematologists with up-to-date advice on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disease and also on laboratory haematology practice, primarily by the production of evidence-based guidelines.

The co-ordination and commissioning of the required guidelines is carried out by 4 task forces, each responsible for a specialist area; blood transfusion, haemostasis & thrombosis, haemato-oncology and general haematology. It is also the responsibility of each task force group to ensure that guidelines are reviewed regularly and updated as appropriate on the BSH website. BSH Guidelines is overseen by an Executive Committee which consists of a Chair and Vice-Chair of BSH Guidelines and the Chairs of each of the four Task Forces.

Each Task Force will have between 10 - 15 guidelines in production or review at any one time, with an average of 2 - 3 being published each year (approximately 10 - 12 in total). The guidelines are written by nominated writing groups with members of the Task Force taking responsibility to ensure they are written to the correct standards and specification. The finished guidelines are usually published in the British Journal of Haematology and are made freely available on the BSH website. Each Task Force will meet 3 - 4 times a year to discuss the progress of the guidelines and any other pertinent business.

This is a six-month, full-time role to cover an extended period of staff absence. We are looking for someone to cover the role but we’re looking for someone who can do more than just maintain the status quo. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to bring struggling children hope and a future. Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, School-based TLG Therapeutic Hubs will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences.
