About the position….

• You will work as part of a residential childcare team providing support for the children and young people with their physical, emotional, and social needs with an emphasis on promoting their personal growth and independence.

• Working on your own initiative and as part of a team, you will be to preparing and assisting the children and young people to fulfil the aims of their person-centred plan.

About you….

We look for applicants who have the following skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, a large part of this role you will be working with Social Workers and parents.
• Previous experience in key working with the young people that we support, including primary responsibility in complex cases and being able consider the feelings and the wishes of the young people that we support. 
• Previous experience in shift leading, supervising team members in the absence of the Registered Manager / Assistant Manager, including contribution to assessment and appraisal of the team.
• Have a sound knowledge around the safeguarding of the young people that we support.
• A good standard of written English and IT skills would be essential, you will be writing reports and keeping record of the Children and Young Peoples progress.
• Transporting children / young people to an activity or school is a requirement. A driving licence that has been held for 12 months would be desirable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen across our dynamic Income Generation and Digital Teams at Terrence Higgins Trust.

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience of producing innovative and insight-led campaigns from conception to delivery and a passion for line managing a team whilst developing people.

The Individual Giving and Digital Manager will lead the implementation and development of our Individual Giving programme. You will be responsible for managing a team with ambitious targets and an exciting portfolio of campaigns to drive donor acquisition and retention, with a particular focus on digital campaigns. 

You will work in a cross-team manner, collaborating with colleagues to deliver activities that delight and inspire our supporters, encouraging long term partnership.  You will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Caseworker - Mentor Supervisor

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Caseworker – Mentor Supervisor to join our New Leaf Young People Mentoring Project. This three-year initiative, funded by the Big Lottery, focuses on improving the life chances, personal resilience, and wellbeing of young people at risk of engaging with the criminal justice system through mentoring support delivered by our wonderful volunteer mentors. Additionally, the project incorporates restorative justice elements, delivering RJ interventions in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage referrals by liaising with referrers and conducting needs assessments using the Outcome Star tool.
• Provide mentoring support to young people for up to 12 weeks, facilitating the development of individual action plans.
• Match younger individuals with suitable volunteer mentors based on their unique needs.
• Supervise and support volunteer mentors through regular six-weekly supervision meetings, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteer mentors while actively promoting the benefits of the project to the local business community and potential referrers.
• Monitor and review mentor-mentee relationships and action plans regularly to ensure progress.
• Maintain effective record-keeping and administration tasks related to case management.

About the role:

This role is based in our Islington office with the flexibility of hybrid working, travel will also be required to other VS offices across London.

As a Children & Young People's Caseworker, you will be required to:

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
• Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 12-15 young people and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
• Review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
• To consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service.
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
• To advocate on behalf of children and young people with experience of domestic abuse to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met.

You will need to have the following essential skills:

• Experience of working directly with vulnerable children and young people aged 4 - 17, on a one to one basis, with a proven ability to work in creative and appropriate ways to engage with children and young people
• Experience with assessing risk and taking appropriate action to safeguard children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
• An understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing crime, domestic abuse and relationship abuse
• Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work, including building relationships with statutory and voluntary CYP service providers
• Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, databases, internet and Outlook

We are recruiting two Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners to join our Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Team at YMCA East Surrey.

Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) will be expected to integrate into YMCA East Surrey’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) team and to support all early intervention work. You will assess and deliver (under supervision), outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.   

This Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner role includes completion of the Child Wellbeing Practice Postgraduate or Graduate level Diploma run by the University of 

Sussex, which follows the nationally agreed curriculum to qualify as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.

The post holder must have experience of working with children, young people and families with multiple and/or complex needs and hold a minimum qualification equivalent to a NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field. In addition, the successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

For the Level 6 (Graduate Diploma) the minimum level would be 3 x A-levels with grades of AAB - BBB (BBC if meet the criteria for contextual offer), or an equivalent qualification such as NVQ level 3 or above, or equivalent experience (and proven ability to work at graduate level). Evidence of experience of working with children and young people.

For the Level 7 (Post-graduate Diploma) the minimum requirement is a Graduate Degree at 2:2, NVQ level 6 or above in Health Care or equivalent experience (and proven ability to work at post-graduate level) 

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Includes attendance at the University of Sussex 2 days per week from January to October.

 

Location: Tadworth, but working across various locations in East Surrey and attendance at the University of Sussex.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

· Working in partnership to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties

· To develop plans for successful intervention and agreed outcomes.

· To support and empower children, young people and families to make informed choices about the intervention.

· To always operate from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity.

· To accept referrals within agreed national and local protocols.

· To undertake accurate assessment of risk to self and others.

· To adhere to the service referral protocols. Under supervision, signpost unsuitable referrals to the relevant service as necessary.

· Through close case management and supervision, escalate cases where the level of need becomes beyond scope

· Provide a range of information and support for evidence based psychological treatments, primarily guided self-help.

· Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or CYP in treatment, where appropriate.

· Keep coherent records of all activity in line with service protocols and use these records and outcome data to inform decision making.

· Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post including practical, academic and practice-based assessments.

· As well as attendance at the University for training, fulfil private study requirements to enhance learning and prepare assignments for examination - recommendation is 150 hours of study for each of the 8 modules, which includes the teaching days.

· Assess and integrate issues relating to transitions, education and training/employment into the overall therapeutic process.

About the Role

As Media Lead you will be responsible for running the charity's busy press office and you will play a central role in shaping how Victim Support is seen and heard in the media. You'll write and deliver a strategic Media Plan that positions the charity as a trusted and recognised victims' voice, increases the profile of our services and contributes to influencing positive change.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage media enquiries, build trusted relationships with journalists and ensure our spokespeople are briefed and supported for interviews. You'll work closely with colleagues across external affairs, social media and frontline services, and provide expert media advice to senior leaders. You'll also line manage our Stories Officer and oversee our Stories Library, giving a platform to victims' voices and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and run the Victim Support's press office.
• Provide quotes and comments to the media, and secure and manage interviews with VS spokespeople.
• Write and deliver the charity's Media Plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and producers.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Services Data Analyst, you will be crucial in translating raw data into actionable intelligence that drives our mission.

- Strategic Insights: Research, analyse, and prepare both qualitative and quantitative data and trends to inform strategic decisions and service development.
- Performance Reporting: Design, produce, and innovate our Services Directorate performance dashboards and scorecards, ensuring accurate and regular reporting.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with teams across the Directorate to fully understand their data needs and support them in meeting strategic objectives.
- Data Quality & Compliance: Collect data, develop data collection solutions, conduct audits to improve data quality, and ensure all processes are secure and compliant with GDPR and other legal requirements.
- Driving Improvement: Analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify outcomes, inform improvement plans, and proactively implement new initiatives to enhance data use.
- Data Culture: Support the Head of Quality Assurance in embedding a culture of evidence-based decision-making through effective training and presentation of insights.

You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings).

Person Specification:

• Surrey-based, holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle for region travel.
• Experience in charity fundraising, particularly within corporate partnerships and community groups or similar experience.
• Demonstrable success in generating income through corporate collaborations and grassroots fundraising.
• Excellent relationship management skills, capable of building and sustaining diverse partnerships.
• Adaptable and willing to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills, with confidence in pitching, presenting, and engaging diverse audiences.
• Well-organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; familiarity with Salesforce is desirable.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engagement Officer in our Northern Ireland team, to deliver opportunities for audiences to connect with woods and trees through a range of engagement activities both on our own estate and in partnership with others. This role is responsible for providing communications support including the creation of physical and digital assets.

THE ROLE
•    This is a key role in the Northern Ireland team and it will be responsible for improving the visitor experience on our estate and inspiring new and existing supporters to give time, voice and money to our cause.
•    Lead on the public engagement aspects of our visitor offer at key sites across Northern Ireland, working with estate colleagues to plan activities, communicate key messages and improve visitor experience
•    Plan and deliver an annual engagement plan for the country, identifying key audiences and activity (on and off our estate) to most effectively achieve our objectives
•    Support the development of improved visitor experience at key sites including data collection, visitor monitoring, evaluation and interpretation planning
•    This role is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months until September 2026.

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for candidates who have the following experience:
•    Planning and delivering high quality face to face engagement activities ideally within a public facing visitor setting
•    Planning and developing appropriate engagement materials for a variety of audiences including visitors and supporters

•    A working knowledge of what constitutes successful interpretation, ideally with experience of planning and implementing creative interpretation features to engage with visitors
•    Understanding about Heath and Safety in public engagement and what constitutes a successful visitor experience
