Home-Start is a leading family support charity, committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 5. Parent volunteers offer regular support to families in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

About the role: as School Membership Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to combine flexible working from home with hands-on delivery of impactful programmes in schools, supporting our members.

Key to this role is ensuring that schools are actively engaged with us, guiding and helping them to make the most of their membership with Future First.  You will support a portfolio of member schools remotely, working 3-4 days per week from home.  This gives you a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with new and existing members.

The Role

This is a new role within our established Education Team, and it will focus on working with schools and teachers to promote geography as a useful and relevant subject to study, and provide guidance and support for school-based geographical careers education and progression through GCSE, A Level and on to university.

This is an exciting opportunity to take forward the Society’s work in this area in a new and innovative way and will involve extensive work across not only schools but also into higher education and the professional geographer community.

About the Role

Your objective for the first 12 months in post will be to have:

• Supported the Youth Zone to achieve 1,000 visits by young people a week by ensuring volunteers play a key role in service delivery.

• Put in place a robust volunteer recruitment pathway.

The Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by ensuring volunteers in Operations-based roles are set up for success by preparing and training them for their role. About the Project

Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.

We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
• To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
• To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

Role Purpose

We are recruiting two part-time Project Coordinators to effectively deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project in Wiltshire, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The postholders will work alongside teams within Wiltshire Council and with local volunteers to ensure that we improve the lives of care experienced young people (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the service to ensure it meets agreed targets and millstones.
• Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff.
• Ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained, and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.
• Ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
• Work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
• Maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure system.
• Manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.

• To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessment management processes.
• Prepare impact and progress reports for both internal and external purposes.
• Develop relevant information to promote and raise the profile of Volunteering Matters locally.
• Promote and adhere to Volunteering Matters Equality and Diversity Policy and all other Volunteering Matters policies which relate to the work of Grandmentors.
• Contribute to joint working and teamwork across Volunteering Matters and your regional team.

Location

The role requires someone based within Wiltshire. With a flexible working policy, the postholder can be based from home or within Wiltshire Council offices. The postholder will need internet access to enable remote working. I.T. equipment and infrastructure will be supplied.

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS  

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, ensuring student communication is exceptional. Including event management (covering agenda creation and resource/activity development), student and partner communication/coordination, along with posting opportunities and roles in the weekly newsletter.

STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues, and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London 
• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events 
• Responsible for managing the programme inboxes (where applicable) 
• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students 
• Provide oversight of higher education applications, CV support, screening, and recruitment preparation 
• Responsible for attending campus/school careers events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm 
• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations  

  
QUALITY ASSURANCE  

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes. 
• Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM

Required qualifications 

• University degree (any discipline)  

Candidates without qualifications will be considered if they have at least 1 years relevant and relatable work experience in a similar role.

This role is part of a project focused on empowering Southwark residents by addressing various barriers to employment. You will provide personalised support and guidance through regular coaching sessions, helping clients reach their full potential and secure job opportunities that align with their goals and mental health support needs.

• Manage a growing caseload of up to 20 clients - some in employment already, some seeking employment
• Providing exceptional support to people with mental health issues into suitable and sustainable employment.

Location:
This role is based in Lambeth, with a focus on supporting clients with low to high support needs referred via various mental health pathways. You'll be primarily based in Stockwell, with visits across a few different sites in the borough of Lambeth
