The Role
As a Talent and Organisational Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing organisational level resource planning to encourage a proactive and flexible approach to attracting and retaining talent.
You will ensure our human capital investments are effectively managed and executed and work closely with leaders and people managers across the organisation. Your role will cover four main areas:

About You
To be considered as a Talent and Organisational Development Manager, you will need:
- Experience in talent development and management, including learning and development, performance management, succession planning and skills evaluation

Main Responsibilities:
- To provide facilities management to all YMCAES sites across East Surrey. This includes 5 housing schemes and one sports and community centre all owned by the YMCAES together with six family and youth centres that the YMCA lease from local authorities.

About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. We are a leading mental health charity on a mission to support Londoners with mental health challenges find and remain in good employment as part of their mental health recovery journey. We have been changing lives for almost 30 years and are now looking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to lead and support bid-writing and other initiatives to drive the development of our employment support services through effective tendering for new contracts and grants. Sitting within our parent company’s Business Development Team, you will receive support for Twining tenders that you are actively working on and will also provide support to Hestia’s tenders, depending on demand.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
This role would suit someone with a proven track record in collaborative new business development from concept and research to delivery; ideally in an environment working with local authorities, NHS, DWP, health bodies, and/or grant institutions. We are also looking for an exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written influencing skills across various levels of seniority. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, including sales and negotiation expertise, and a good understanding of the financial principles applicable in the charity sector. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold and embody the values of Twining in all aspects of their work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids and funding applications, including finalising technical questions and method statements.
· Manage the administrative components of the tendering process.
· Conduct research to identify income opportunities related to the employment and mental health offer.
· Build and maintain networks with local health, social care and employment agencies.
· Stay informed about procurement practices and commissioning trends in London and nationally.
· Contribute to the shaping of Twining’s development strategy by identifying growth opportunities.
· Participate in events to position Twining as a thought leader in relevant sectors.
· Assist with the mobilisation of successful tenders, ensuring a smooth transition from award to contract initiation.
· Evaluate bids to improve future submissions and seek feedback on both successful and unsuccessful proposals.
· Keep updated on sector developments in employability.
· Attend meetings with Commissioners to foster relationships.
· Aid in the re-development of existing services to secure additional funding and/or efficiencies.
· Engage in tender presentations and clarification interviews as needed.
· Form partnerships and consortia to explore alternative service delivery methods.
· Support the retention of services by contributing to operational improvement initiatives.
· Coordinate with operations staff to optimise staffing structures and service delivery models for the best service user outcomes.
· Identify personal training and development needs and arrange visits to key services.
· Act as an ambassador for Twining, representing the organisation's interests with stakeholders.

THE ROLE
The Project Development Manager role is part of The Building Capacity Project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), which seeks to develop the skills and capacity of communities on the west coast of Scotland to deliver the aims of the Alliance for Scotland’s Rainforest i.e. protect and restore Scotland’s globally important temperate rainforest. The Woodland Trust has secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for this project's initial two-year ‘development’ phase.
The Project Development Manager will lead the development work, coordinating project partners to ensure the timely development of plans for the delivery and for the stage 2 funding bid to NLHF. They will oversee delivery of specific activities ensuring targets and timelines are adhered to and the prudent financial management of the development phase budget. They’ll produce reports and feedback to funders and the project board and steering group regarding progress as well as identifying opportunities to share best practice to maximise opportunities.
This is an 18 month fixed term position. Should our funding bid for the subsequent five-year ‘delivery’ phase be successful, we hope the PDM will remain in post to support the delivery of these plans.
THE CANDIDATE
You’ll have experience in project development, leadership and delivery in the environment, conservation or heritage sector including experience in managing contractors and consultants. You’ll have the ability to monitor, evaluate and learn from the project progress, using your excellent communication skills to report back to the funders and project board.
You will have experience building meaningful working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, engaging effectively with them to be involved and inspired by our work and ensuring maximised potential impact of the project. You will have a collaborative approach with experience of working with partners and multiple teams and organisations for a shared purpose.
You’ll be self-motivated and flexible having the ability to manage and organise a diverse workload.
