What you’ll do

• You’ll be responsible for devising and leading our media and PR strategy and plans, as well as contribute to our corporate marketing communications planning.

• You’ll manage our PR & events team.

• You’ll write key messaging, press releases, media statements, speeches and other PR copy. 

What you’ll bring

Director of Movement Building role description (0.8 FTE)

• Lead the organisation’s movement building approach, seeking long-term transformational change to our financial system and wider economy through building the power of individuals, churches and Christian networks, as part of a wider social movement for a more just and sustainable future.
• Design, implement, and lead strategic initiatives and projects for a more just use of money, especially developing individual and church learning and action on the financial system and wider economy, managing people and budgets.
• Identify and deliver learning and action opportunities, including around how individuals and churches use their own money and on tax justice. Conduct training and produce written resources in a variety of media for churches and individuals to understand the financial system and wider economy and to take tangible action.
• Develop and maintain a reasonable level of expertise in areas including ethical finance, an overview of the financial system, Christian ethics, and adult/ lay education.
• Along with the ED, be an external face of the organisation, positioning JustMoney Movement as a leading voice on issues of faith and finance, through speaking engagements, media interviews, and developing strategic collaborations to broaden reach and deepen engagement.
• Support the ED in helping to deliver JustMoney Movement’s strategy to see money shape a fairer, greener world, including managing risk, and safeguarding the culture and values of the organisation.
• Deputise for the ED as required in leading, supporting and empowering the JustMoney Movement staff team in the delivery of their work; manage staff, contractors and volunteers as appropriate.
• Contribute to a robust impact assessment framework for our activities, to enable a solid evidence base to measure impact and evolve as a result, contribute to strong relationships with funders, and meet reporting requirements.

About Furthering Talent

Furthering Talent helps musicians from the earliest stage in their musical journey. The programme is specifically designed to help young people from low income families sustain their musical learning after initial state-funded whole-class lessons end, so they can keep on progressing and playing music well into their teens and beyond. The programme aims to effect significant change in how the musical potential of young people from low-income families is identified and supported.

Place of work: Home-based and other locations as required. An ability to travel, often nationally, is essential to carry out this role. All reasonable travel expenses can be reclaimed.  

The role

You will be the first point of contact and support for the team of Connectors in your Hubs, attending Teachers’ Forums and Get Togethers where possible and helping with the coordination of data gathering and management. You will help drive the promotion of the Connector role and handle any incoming Connector enquiries via the Young Sounds website, allocating them to the appropriate Connector. You will oversee the mentoring and youth voice offer in each Hub. You will be a champion for Young Sounds’ musically inclusive approach throughout the sector and will support the promotion of Young Sounds’ CPD and learning resources, especially the Charanga hosted Individual Learning Plan.

Through workshops, mentoring, professional development days and an eight-week research placement, participants receive the development opportunities and insight they need to progress onto postgraduate research degrees and careers in STEM, Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities subjects.

We are looking for an In2research Programme Officer to help expand our high-quality programme by supporting all stages of the programme including: planning; delivery; recruitment; stakeholder management and evaluation.

Duties and responsibilities: 

The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2research Programme. 

Your specific duties will include: 

Programme Delivery 

• Manage participants and volunteers from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation. 

• Maintain excellent working relationships with funders and delivery partners and other external stakeholders to further the delivery of our work. This will include working and communicating with academic and professional services staff at universities, consultants, placement supervisors, mentors and workshop leads

• Create and develop engaging communication materials about the programme including programme guides, presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text and images. 

• Work with delivery partners to design and deliver programme’s online and in-person activities, including recruiting and training speakers for: workshops; careers panels; mentoring sessions; placements and large scale away days and celebration events

• Track project performance, manage risk assessments and ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

• Ensure the highest standard of record keeping, maintaining accurate, complete, and up to date records in accordance with data protection policy

• Support the collection and creation of case studies, working closely with the fundraising team to ensure funder requirements are met.

• Evaluate programme processes/systems to recommend and implement improvements to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience for participants and volunteers.

To liaise with referring agencies, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. Location

We all work from home, however travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role.  You'll attend around three symposia a year, which usually run from Mondays to Thursdays and are currently held in the Lake District.  You'll also attend up to three half-day meetings in London a year, which may require overnight stays depending on how far away from London you live.  The biennial prizegiving ceremony is also held in London. It would be helpful if you had a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

TLC: Talk Listen, Change are looking for a Children and Young People’s Rapid Response worker to deliver a crisis service for children and young people aged 5-18 living in the Wigan area who have been arrested following the use of harmful and physically violent behaviours towards their parents / carers. The service is trauma informed, supporting young people to change their behaviour through work with both them and their families. The service will provide a rapid response for young people at crisis point working intensively with individuals and families for a short period of time, and work closely with youth justice teams and other services in the area.

The role

As a Key Worker, you’ll be a game-changer in the lives of young individuals, shaping their future by identifying their struggles and initiating paths for improvement. You’ll collaborate with various agencies, becoming an essential bridge to the resources they require, and implement effective risk management procedures with the support of senior staff. You’ll also serve as a mentor, delivering a variety of program materials focused on prevention, early intervention, and behaviour modification in both one-on-one and group settings. Additionally, you’ll engage with the parents/carers of these young individuals, ensuring they are part of the solution, and make appropriate referrals for partners/ex-partners and children connected to them. Gaddum is looking for a qualified PWP to join our well-established Talking Therapies team operating in Manchester and expand our offer for clients. You will work alongside a team of dedicated counsellors within a stepped care model to provide initial assessments and a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for common mental health problems, including one-to-one work and the potential for groupwork.

You will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate (or be near to qualification with all elements of the course successfully passed/on track to qualify on time).

The Fundraising and Business Development Team Administrator will form part of a five-strong team led by our Head of Fundraising and Business Development. Responsibilities:

As part of a small team, you will need to take responsibility for identifying where your support is most needed through busy times, juggling different priorities to work effectively and efficiently, often under your own steam.
Key responsibilities are:
Corporate Fundraising

• Support corporate fundraising by completing due diligences on potential partners (you will be trained how to do this), organising corporate visits, volunteering days, supporting corporate fundraising events, keeping corporate partners up to date with our news etc and organising meetings.

Trusts and Foundations

• Support trusts and foundations fundraising by supporting on funder research (again you will be fully trained how to do this) and contributing to a constant pipeline of potential funders for the team to approach.
• Helping to manage the schedule for, and possibly writing and/or submitting basic proposals to trusts and foundations.

Events

•  Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.
•  Helping to develop, organise and deliver events.

Individual Giving

• Supporting our Individual Giving programme from an administrative point of view, including sending out pre-written emails to our supporters etc and ensuring first-class stewardship.
• Using our fundraising platform Enthuse to produce reports to support the team (and finance) with relevant information and insights.
• To ensure all donations are processed and on the fundraising tracker correctly, supporter records are kept up to date and supporters are thanked in a timely manner.

General

• To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, and post.
• Supporting other activities in the fundraising team when needed, sending out materials to fundraisers and supporting logistics, diary management and support the organisation and delivery of meetings and events when needed.
• Attend meetings and take concise and accurate minutes.
• Support the Head of Fundraising and Business Development to produce trackers and spreadsheets which help to measure the team’s performance and results. This includes ensuring income is allocated correct from third party platforms and working closely with the Finance Team to ensure that we can report fundraising results and forecast accurately and in a timely way.
• Support with stock control and ordering for our material assistance project, LifeSupply which also forms part of the department.
• Support all income generation activity with the collation of information from other departments, external organisations or though research.
• Other general fundraising and administration duties, as and when required to ensure the smooth running of the department including assisting in other team projects when they arise.

Summary of role 

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, this role will provide critical support during a busy period, until the end of 2024.

Job description 

Overall purpose of role 

Key responsibilities include: 

1. Broad support to the Communications and Engagement team, including: 

• Helping draft content for the Alliance newsletter, website and social media. 

• Supporting delivery of online webinars and roundtables, managing registrations and following up on enquiries. 

• Completing due diligence checks on new membership applications. 

• Supporting the update of key membership information and presentations. 

• Supporting delivery of a participation roundtable of our members.

• Supporting delivery of a youth campaign, providing project support and liaison with external stakeholders.

2. Event coordination tasks, including supporting the successful delivery of our 2024 Global Summit: 

• Maintaining events project plans and liaising across teams to ensure tasks, activities and deliverables are captured, up-to-date and accurate. 

• Collating content including delegate information packs, programme content and other collateral, liaising across the team and with Alliance members and external suppliers. 

• Tracking and monitoring enquiries about the Summit and coordinating responses.

The role will also provide occasional administrative support to the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (~10% of the role’s time).
