Empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing. As part of a team, you will support a staffing rota offering support to service users between the hours of 8am-10pm Mon-Sun each week. In collaboration with your team, you will actively monitor wellbeing, mental health, housing and living environment to ensure service users journey into independence.

Moreover, you will take a solution focused and coproduced approach to supporting service users with their move-on into independent living.

You will have experience of working with people with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues in either a paid or voluntary capacity. You will be able to learn quickly, gather information, and make sound decisions while processing and recording information accurately, in line with confidentiality requirements. With the ability to engage people who may present challenging behaviour, you will use de-escalation skills to defuse difficult situations and apply a solution-focused, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

You will bring optimism about people's capacity for change, combined with a calm, non-judgemental, and anti-discriminatory approach. The role requires resilience and the ability to work effectively within a chaotic or pressured environment, as well as the flexibility to cover unsociable hours, including early, late, and occasional weekend shifts as part of a rota. A strong understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to address them appropriately will also be essential.

About you

· Solicitor, barrister or equivalent qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience

· Extensive experience as a senior in-house lawyer within a regulated sector with specialist knowledge in commercial and/or sector-specific law, and the right to practice law in this jurisdiction.

· In-depth legal expertise with an understanding of legal principles and practices, with evidence of continued professional development (CPD) commensurate with the requirements of the role.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare profession/health related professional to join our existing team of Wellbeing Consultants embedded within established UK GenesisCare cancer treatment centres.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, relatives, GenesisCare staff team and Wellbeing consultant team and the wider Penny Brohn UK organization. We are looking for a professional who can work in a flexible, proactive, intelligent, and creative way. Candidates should have experience of working within private or national health related services and have knowledge, experience/understanding of complementary therapies or other support services.

Key role considerations

• This role will involve working alongside our partner GenesisCare to ensure a holistic approach is taken in aspects of support and treatment.
• The bulk of the patient work is delivery of one-to-one sessions – completing holistic needs assessments, review appointments, consultations, mindfulness, and relaxation sessions.
• The Wellbeing Consultant is responsible for ensuring that patients and their relatives have a positive experience as they move through the Penny Brohn UK treatment support services at GenesisCare.

Key Responsibilities

 

Corporate Fundraising

• Identify, develop and secure corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year opportunities, sponsorships, payroll giving, and in-kind support.
• Build relationships with local businesses, engaging them in volunteering and staff fundraising activities.
• Prepare compelling proposals, pitches and presentations to secure new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
• Recruit and steward local businesses for the Unpaid Carers Hub, our web-based corporate partnerships offer.

 

Community Fundraising

• Pro-actively grow income from local community groups, schools, clubs and faith organisations across Surrey.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity at local events, deliver talks and presentations, inspiring people to support our work.
• Support and encourage DIY/community fundraisers, providing resources and guidance to maximise income.

 

Events

• Plan and deliver fundraising events from concept to completion, managing budgets, logistics and marketing timelines to ensure strong ROI.
• Recruit participants for charity-led and third-party events, including running challenges and bespoke campaigns such as I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here!.

 

Communications and Stewardship

• Work with the Fundraising and Communications teams to create engaging fundraising materials, content for social media, newsletters, and supporter updates.
• Deliver excellent supporter care, ensuring donations are acknowledged promptly and relationships nurtured for long-term engagement.

 

Data, Reporting and Administration

• Maintain accurate records on Salesforce, producing reports and data analysis to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
• Track, evaluate and report on activity, identifying learning points to improve future performance.

• Represent and promote Crossroads Care Surrey at networking events, business forums, and in the wider community.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fundraising within the charity sector

RNID Near You Co-ordinator – Somerset

The post requires travel across the Somerset so living within the area is an essential requirement.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You service in Somerset working alongside our current RNID Near You in care homes service, Somerst Foundation Trusts Audiology team, and RNID’s Health Programme to develop and deliver a new self-referral pathway and wraparound service in the Somerset Foundation Trust area. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus on developing and delivering our volunteer lead community service across the Somerset area through sessions in community settings. The service will offer:

• practical hearing aid support
• information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• hearing checks

You will be responsible for setting up and co-ordinating sessions across the region and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will work with NHS Somerset Foundation Trust audiology team and our local RNID Near You Somerset Care Home Co-ordinator to induct and train our volunteers to high standards. You will promote this service within the NHS Somerset Foundation Trust area to ensure maximum engagement and uptake. You will also be responsible ensuring all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.

You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

This role will see you as a key member of the Finance team, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner to deliver robust financially planning and advice to our Fundraising directorate, supporting budget holders, Heads of Departments and Directors across this area.

The Role

Centre 33’s Wellbeing team offer a diverse support offer to (primarily) young people aged 13-25 and founded in the principles of low intensity CBT (Guided Self Help). Working closely alongside other Centre 33 services, the team are responsible for the delivery of interventions via the Guided Self Help pathway, to young people who have self-referred or consented to a parent/professional referral to address early emerging mental health difficulties such as low mood and anxiety. In addition, the team apply creative approaches to create, adapt and share evidenced based GSH materials that are shared via one off sessions, workshops, training and events. The team design psychoeducational and wellbeing strategy- based resources for use both internally (social media campaigns and website) and externally (eg. schools). Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.

About Us

CAP sets up and supports local partnerships that aim to reduce alcohol harm in children and young people, improve their health and well-being and enhance their communities. Our mission is to create an alcohol-free childhood for all children and young people.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.

· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.

· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.

Specific duties to include the following:

o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.
