The role will oversee grant and contract management with existing organisational and institutional partnerships, as well as grow this portfolio through developing a robust pipeline of new opportunities, finding creative ways to secure visibility and first meetings, developing relationships, compelling funding applications and ensuring strong contract management oversight.

The role will lead a team of two, work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues based in the US and UK to secure visibility with and develop strong long-term partnerships with new Trusts and Foundations; and work closely with colleagues in Kenya to ensure strong project delivery and grant management. Responsibilities include:

• Lead the implementation of the Trusts & Foundations (T&Fs) programme with a particular focus on growing the portfolio of large T&Fs in the USA, UK and European markets;
• Work with fundraising colleagues across priority markets and with communications colleagues, using innovative and proactive approaches to business development and relationship building to unlock visibility opportunities and develop relationships with new prospects; in order to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of high-value funding opportunities.  
• Continue to oversee the current ‘programme funding’ portfolio which includes existing institutional funding partnerships and corporate foundation relationships in Kenya, ensuring that ongoing and new opportunities where they exist are capitalised on.
• Collaborate closely with and provide technical expertise to Ol Pejeta’s Project Implementation function in Kenya to develop and embed ‘programme funding’ systems, policies, processes, to ensure that the organisation works to the highest standards in grant management;
• Oversee collaboration and co-working with Ol Pejeta’s Programme teams and other colleagues to ensure high quality  project design content is translated into  technical proposals and budgets for donors;
• Work closely with Kenya’s implementation function to support strong project delivery and contract management. 
• As a Head of, actively contribute to team and department objectives through decision making and action on planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.

Key Activities

• Support the Chief Fundraising Officer with overall strategy development, implementation and adaptation;
• Work closely with the Chief Fundraising Officer to ensure operational and budget planning, management and reporting of resources;
• Oversee the T&F team’s operational planning processes, annual reporting and core performance monitoring;
• Strategic coordination of multiple stakeholders in proposal development processes (programme experts, internal stakeholders, partners and donors);
• Build strong relationships across all departments of the organisation and with existing and new partners;
• Support the recruitment process/selection/appointment of fundraising staff across the department.

Strategic leadership delivery and management of Trusts and Foundations priority in the global fundraising strategy.

• Develop and implement tactics for T&Fs that support Ol Pejeta to meet its overall strategic objectives;  
• Ensure that the relevant parts of the Fundraising strategy, planning and practice is adaptive to both internal and external changes and that the team adopts innovative approaches to its work;
• Effectively integrate T&F team objectives and outcomes into wider Ol Pejeta income targets and programme priorities.

Business development and management

• Proactively cultivate relationships with key prospects, donors and partners (with particular focus on US, UK and European markets);
• Network both internally and externally to ensure relevant stakeholder participation and intelligence gathering in various fora;
• Lead and coordinate proposal development, including budgeting, with programme teams and finance;
• Collaborate with Ol Pejeta’s communications and marketing department to ensure communication activities appeal to donor interests, promote our partnerships and help to position Ol Pejeta as a partner of choice;
• Research and share trends and intelligence on T&Fs, and develop relationships that strategically position the organisation to mobilise resources from new and existing donors.

Support effective grant & risk management and compliance

• Support the development and implementation of improved business policies to facilitate improved management of and accountability for T&F funding and other larger institutional partnerships;
• Provide quality assurance and technical backstopping on reporting and general compliance, in line with organisational and donor requirements;
• Guide the negotiation of strategic grants/contracts to ensure the organisation signs up to appropriate contractual requirements;
• Advise on the interpretation and application of donor rules, regulations, processes and procedures;
• Provide guidance and capacity building on grant cycle management to colleagues across the organisation.

People Management, Financial Management and Departmental contributions

• Provide inductions to staff across the organisation on T&Fs and institutional funding opportunity;
• Build, motivate and effectively collaborate with teams remotely;
• Conduct probationary reviews and annual performance management reviews for direct line management staff;
• Support the Chief Fundraising Officer to have oversight of the team budget lines;
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the global fundraising team based in different geographical locations
• Contribute to overall departmental processes and initiatives;
• Act within the parameters set by the organisation on financial policies and procedures.

Capacity Building and Knowledge Management

• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration to strengthen fundraising and grant management skills across the organisation;
• Oversee the development and maintenance of information systems and tools for sharing donor policies and guidelines, funding opportunities and best practice across the organisation;
• Keep pace with international developments and engage with other INGOs to keep abreast of opportunities and global trends in T&F fundraising.

Education, Language & Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent in a relevant field preferably Fundraising / International Development;
• Excellent verbal and written communication with fluency in English;
• Language skills in Swahili and German advantageous.

Essential Knowledge, skills and Experience

• Relevant experience working in an international NGO or philanthropy environment with diverse workforce;
• Experience in Trusts & Foundation fundraising across international markets;
• Demonstrated experience cultivating and managing relationships with trusts and foundation donors (or others) to secure six figure grants;

Overall Role Purpose

The Communications Specialist – South East helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by driving the awareness and saliency of the Guide Dogs brand nationally and in their region by leading the development and delivery of central, regional and local integrated communications activity.

The role communicates the strategy and work of Guide Dogs, engaging key audiences both externally and internally (including service users, volunteers, staff, and supporters) to strengthen the brand and further awareness of the charity

Key Responsibilities

· Brand – Drive the awareness and saliency of the Guide Dogs brand nationally and in the region by bringing to life the brand positioning through all customer experience touchpoints.

· Champion the brand identity in the region, leading the implementation across all touchpoints. Lead the regional activation of all aspects of the brand campaign, working closely with the central brand, comms and digital teams.

· Communications & Digital – Lead the development, delivery and review of central, regional and local integrated communications & digital activity in the region to include print and broadcast media, social media, publications, advertising, events, direct marketing and internal communications as appropriate, ensuring objectives are set and measured. Create and edit key regional publications, as and when required.

· Case studies – Source and create local case studies, and work with Content Team to maintain the Chorus case study library with content to support local and national campaigns

· Media relations - Build strong and on-going relationships with national and regional journalists through proactive and reactive media relations, including dealing with issues and crises that are a risk to the organisation’s reputation.

· Work with all areas of the charity to story spot and develop compelling service user case studies that will engage journalists and turn into national news stories 

· Generate region-based stories and articles for corporate publications

· Manage creative agencies to help deliver national and regional campaigns

· Volunteer management - Develop and maintain a network of volunteer media champions across all regions.

This role is to develop and co-ordinate Buddies, a vital peer support service which
provides emotional and practical support for people living with or affected by
cancer. They are matched with a trained volunteer who has either had cancer
themselves or have cared for someone with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
 Work with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, train, and support a team of
volunteers to deliver one-to-one buddying support
 Provide regular supervision, ongoing training, and reflective practice

General Description

We are looking for an experienced Operational Lead to join our senior leadership team at an exciting point of change and development for the organisation.  This is a brand new  influential role designed to support our CEO in building our organisational fitness for the future through its infrastructure, including health & safety, people management, data and technology and the running of our building at Chaucer Street.  It is a wonderful opportunity to lead on the creation of sustainable mechanisms to improve ways of working in the challenging and evolving charity services sector.  It is a role that will directly enable our front line teams spend more time with and create improved outcomes with the women we are here to support.

Key Responsibilities 

Operational Leadership inc

• Oversee day-to-day operations across the organisation.

• Develop and implement operational policies, planning and procedures.

• Support continuous learning and improvement in organisational effectiveness

Governance, Compliance & Risk inc

• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations

• Maintain and monitor the risk management register and oversight of all organisational policies

• Support the SLT, Board and CEO with governance processes and reporting (internally & funder) 

IT, Systems & Infrastructure inc

• Oversee the charity’s IT systems, databases, and technology infrastructure.

• Lead on digital transformation and ensure tools and systems support effective service delivery

• Maintain information security standards and appropriate accreditations

Finance & Resource Management inc

• Collaborate with the Head of Finance to ensure robust financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for operations

• Monitor organisational performance against key budgets and metrics.

• Work with teams to ensure and increase value for money across contracts and expenses 

• Support funding bids primarily where linked to core and operational costs

HR and People Management inc

• Support the People Officer in the development of People strategy and implementation (recruitment, performance, wellbeing, learning & development).

• Champion a positive, feminist and inclusive workplace culture.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice in HR. 

Service leadership inc

• The role currently includes management of the reception and admin team who support women as they come into the building and utilise the welcome space for activities as well as support the logistical running of the building

Facilities & Health and Safety inc

• Manage the charity’s facilities (offices, community spaces, etc.) and ensure safe working environments.

• Oversee health and safety compliance and business continuity planning. 

Leadership and Strategic Input

Contribute to organisational strategy and business planning.

• Work closely with other members of the senior leadership team to ensure alignment across contracts, teams and activity offers

• Build and maintain working partnerships with external organisations 

• Support and develop your team ensuring they are competent and empowered to undertake their roles and support you and the organisation deliver quality services   

• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and Nottingham Women’s Centre policies and procedures, including the Centre’s Equal Opportunities policy and Health and Safety Policy. 

• Deputise for the CEO as required.

A Rocha UK is the only national Christian conservation charity in the UK. Our mission is to mobilise Christians and churches to care for the natural world. About the role

Reporting in to the Head of Impact for the Multi Country Cluster region (MCC), the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Lead will lead Christian Aid’s MEAL and as part of the MCC Senior Management Team, will work across Humanitarian, Development and Advocacy programmes in MCC countries to drive impact.

The role will work closely with partners and together identify areas for accompaniment support. 

The post-holder will lead in the development, implementation and monitoring of Christian Aid, donor and sector MEAL approaches and requirements, providing effective and timely support (including capacity building) to programme staff and partner organisations, ensuring high-impact initiatives to maximise our impact. 

The role will develop and promote Christian Aid’s profile and visibility with donors, sector stakeholders and beyond foster a mindset of connection, as well as drive digital technology and decolonised approaches in MEAL across all Christian Aid programming, share their ideas and insights. 

Some of the main responsibilities for the MEAL Lead will include:

• Support MCC Senior Management to create a team environment and delivery of high-quality impactful programmes. 
• Develop and lead project proposals based on strong planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures, ensuring financial policies and procedures are complied with, including reporting requirements, to maximise impact and income. 
• Supported by the Organisational Effectiveness and Communications team, provide visibility and promotion of research and learning products for the MCC that will maximise our impact. 
• Ensure humanitarian, development and advocacy programmes meet the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) through remote and in country engagement. 
• Working with partners to co-create appropriate MEAL systems.
• Input into all major bid developments. 
• Oversee the development of best practice in community-based approaches to accountability within Christian Aid
• Provide accompaniment support to partners. 
• Manage monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure they are maintained, updated, used and that they contribute to quality programming, driving meaningful change.
• Lead on outcomes and impact measurements ensuring they are reported effectively to donors in order to maximise income. 
• Collaborate with Communications colleagues, to enable the development of a communications plan for the MCC and storytelling to supporters that will showcase high-impact initiatives that maximise our impact.
• Support decisions related to projects and programmes informed by Christian Aid’s corporate strategy, including the 4 themes and aligning with organisational values and goals. 
• Develop strong lessons learned feedback into programme design and improve the quality of future programming, to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
• Represent Christian Aid in the sector, sharing innovation and learning from our MEAL practice widely, promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and creating strategic partnerships with other actors in the M&E sector. 
• Develop, capture, and share best practice in community-based approaches to accountability within Christian Aid.
• Collaborate with the Programme Quality & Operations Lead to complete global CHS audits processes to deliver high quality work.
• Together with Organisational Effectiveness colleagues, participate in / co-lead relevant global CoP(s)

About you

• Degree in Social Sciences, Information Management, Statistics, Research or related fields. 
• Significant experience of working in development/humanitarian/advocacy work.

The role of the Programme Coordinator is to support the Development Manager in the successful delivery of the CRT Engage programme throughout England. This will involve:

•ensuring the programme is impactful, and responsive to local needs

NCN Delivery Project Officer

England North

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Delivery team as our new National Cycle Network (NCN) Project Officer.

As the NCN Delivery Project Officer you will support and deliver feasibility and infrastructure construction projects, working closely with team managers to ensure effective project management, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and operational delivery. You’ll help drive projects forward in line with organisational goals and compliance standards. 

You will have the opportunity to work on projects which seek to tackle some of England’s greatest active travel challenges, including the response to the climate emergency, the inequitable distribution of (and access to) green space, the social injustice of private vehicle dominance and the realisation of equitable and joyful public space for all.

The focus of this role is in the England North region; we may occasionally need you to travel during the course of your work including occasional overnights stays, and you may occasionally be required to work at other locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to a nominated hub/office base in Leeds, Manchester, or Newcastle. 

This role involves regular travel, with work taking place at different locations to support and deliver projects for the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

ABOUT YOU

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong report writing experience. 

Experienced with working collaboratively within a team, you will also be adept at building meaningful and productive relationships with stakeholders, public sector (local authority) partners, landowners, contractors and volunteers. 

This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, with a passion for active travel.

Well organised with an ability to think critically and are keen to learn. Experience with project management tools and mapping software is desirable, but not essential. You will have 3 years' work experience in a relevant field (Geography, infrastructure, transport planning, town planning, sustainable transport, technical project management, urban design).
