About the Role

As a Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for student engagement, timetabling, logistics, and tutor performance, helping learners secure vital qualifications for their future.

Programme Coordination

• Manage a portfolio of up to 300 students throughout the year, ensuring sustained engagement with tutoring sessions.
• Prepare for programme launches, including timetabling of sessions and logistical planning.
• Maximise student reach by filling available tutoring spaces and maintaining an active pipeline of students.
• Develop strategies to enhance student engagement and track attendance KPIs using our CRM system (Salesforce).

 Tutor Performance and Delivery

• Oversee tutor task and session management to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Conduct regular check-ins with tutors, providing guidance and feedback.

College Relationships and Programme Logistics

• Build and maintain strong relationships with college staff to ensure seamless programme delivery.
• Manage logistical preparations, including scheduling sessions and room bookings.
• Maintain clear communication with college stakeholders and contribute to impact reporting.
• Support contract renewal discussions to sustain and expand partnerships.

 Creative Problem-Solving and Innovation

•  Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance programme efficiency.
• Contribute to wider organisational projects, such as tutor training, resource development, and student engagement initiatives.
• Lead special projects aligned with your interests to further our mission.

Championing Get Further’s Vision and Values

• Represent Get Further’s values in all interactions with students, tutors, and external partners.

We are currently looking for a Growth and Development Worker based in England to join our team. This is an externally funded post which will be focused on opening new provision and supporting existing provision in order to reduce waiting lists within specific funding areas. You need to be able to coach, empower and inspire our volunteers and cadets, both in person and remotely, to grow the Sea Cadets.

• Delivering a variety of training sessions on, for example, recruitment of cadets and volunteers
• Developing new growth and recruitment tools and ideas
• Promoting flexible volunteering and the volunteer strategy
• Assisting with running our social media accounts
• Working with and empowering our volunteers to develop plans for growth
• Planning and setting up Juniors Sections in new and existing locations/units
• Delivering assemblies in schools
• Forming part of various working groups with colleagues to develop the tools, resources and processes needed to increase the positive impact of the Growth and Development team.

About You

• Educated to degree level with a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in senior financial accounting roles, with strong technical expertise.
• Proven track record in producing annual statutory accounts and successfully managing external audit processes.
• Extensive experience leading and developing large finance teams within complex organisations, driving performance and accountability.
• Skilled in preparing management accounts, income and expenditure reports, and cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

About the Role

• Lead statutory and management reporting: Oversee the production of audited statutory financial statements and timely completion of the external audit. Ensure best practice in external financial reporting and take full responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts.
• Own cash flow and balance sheet management: Lead the preparation of the charity’s monthly rolling cash flow forecast and ensure full ownership of the balance sheet, including timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Strengthen financial controls and working capital: Ensure effective financial processes and controls within transactional teams to manage working capital and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
• Oversee compliance and tax: Identify, manage and control financial risks, including tax compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice and ensure the charity remains fully compliant in all taxation matters, including VAT and gift aid.
• Drive counter fraud and governance improvements: Act as the financial lead for the charity’s control environment and counter fraud framework. Champion improvements in fraud awareness, culture, and control.
• Manage key external relationships: Serve as the main contact for the charity’s bankers and investment managers, and act as secretary to the Finance Committee and Investment Advisory Group.
• Optimise treasury and investment performance: Lead treasury activities to maximise returns on working capital and investments, ensuring alignment with the charity’s strategic objectives.
• Develop team and performance culture: Foster a high-performing finance team through regular 1-1s, development reviews, and team meetings. Embed a strong performance management culture in line with St John Ambulance policies.

Overview of the Philanthropy Manager role and the team

Barnabas Aid is seeking a proactive and experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our International Outreach team. This new role is integral to ensuring the growth and sustainability of our work through regular or one time organisational and personal donations. The Philanthropy Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy in support of this, targeting potential supporters who wish to leave a lasting impact through Barnabas’ work. The role will involve cultivating relationships with current and prospective organisational and private UK based and international supporters, overseeing communications and marketing strategies, and ensuring that Barnabas Aid’s fund raising programme is promoted effectively across all channels.

As part of a dynamic fundraising team, the Philanthropy Manager will work closely with the Head of Campaigns, the Living Streams Officer, and the Head of Communications. The role will also involve engagement with donors, ensuring that Barnabas Aid is at the forefront of supporters' minds when it comes to making donations or leaving a legacy for future generations of Christians in need.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Fund Raising Strategy:
  •  Develop and implement a comprehensive donation, legacy marketing and stewardship strategy, with the aim of increasing the number of organisational, regular and one-off individual donations in addition to legacy gifts to Barnabas Aid.
  • Adherence to the Code of Fundraising Practice within this strategy.
• Fund Raising Marketing:
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns that inspire organisations and supporters to consider making one off or regular donations to Barnabas Aid. This will include writing promotional materials, organising events, and developing digital campaigns to raise awareness of the variety of ways of making donations and legacy giving.
• Donor Stewardship:
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective donors, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Provide regular updates and tailored communications to supporters to ensure long-term engagement and support.
• Engagement & Retention:
  • Work to retain donors by developing a robust stewardship programme that encourages ongoing involvement and loyalty.

This role involves utilising advanced analytical techniques, managing complex data projects, and developing insightful reports and dashboards.

You’ll also work closely with our Digital and Content team to evaluate and report on the performance of our website and donate funnel and develop and implement optimisation plans to drive engagement and increase conversions.

This role is responsible for:
