Earthed will seek to ensure that our rural areas are not overlooked or suffer from neglect. We understand that deprivation and need in rural areas can be as acute as is present in larger cities and towns. There is a lack of services and transport, and this can increase a sense of isolation and compound problems further. In providing spaces where people can gather, we begin to walk alongside people and share experiences. In sharing experiences people can become change makers in their stories. Lives can be transformed by being present, hope-filled and by amplifying the voices of those in these communities.

You would join a team of community pioneers that form the Flourish team. We are passionate about enabling spaces where people can share time, build relationships and explore new and different ways of experiencing God and faith. We are seeking a curious and creative individual who is willing to be open to new ways of working and thinking.

To develop and deliver Brook’s Education and Wellbeing work with young people, to support and facilitate online training sessions for professionals and Parents, ensuring effective delivery against commissioned contracts as well as programmes that generate additional income for Brook. Bank Staff will facilitate training for adults, parents and carers and may be required to liaise with Social Care and Police, work within multi agency teams and coordinate Safeguarding concerns and referrals.

ARC Blackburn (ARC), an established local charity, has recently been commissioned by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to deliver an asylum seeker integration programme for newly arrived asylum seekers in the borough. The purpose of the role is to work with new and existing partner organisations as well as existing staff, volunteers, and service users to deliver the programme.

To be successful in the role, you will have relevant experience in community engagement and/or building partnerships in the charity sector. At London City Mission, we estimate that one in two Londoners, that’s roughly 4.5 million people, are unlikely to hear the gospel in their lifetime. For many of these people, their everyday experience will be one of rejection or helplessness and their cultural and religious background may mean they are least likely to hear the gospel. It’s clear throughout the Bible that God has a heart for people who are marginalised and overlooked. And tragically, it’s often in London’s most deprived communities that people are least likely to hear the invitation to repentance and eternal hope in Jesus. 

At London City Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to the communities around them, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. These missional teams are groups of church members who take responsibility for a ministry to a community who may not otherwise hear about Jesus, are affirmed and publicly supported by the church leadership, pray for each other and for the people they want to invite to follow Christ, using their different gifts regularly to reach people who are part of this community. We pray that, together by 2029, these teams will be part of 25,000 gospel conversations within communities where Jesus Christ isn't known. The Missionary role is, therefore, a Church mobilisation role.

We are seeking candidates for Missionary roles who have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with specific groups of Londoners, and who can also come alongside churches to train and inspire Christian believers to reach their local communities with the hope of the gospel.

· Be responsible and accountable for working with Team leader and/or Service Manager and Advanced practitioner to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.

· Attend monthly risk review and practice development meetings with Team leader or Advanced practitioner to ensure effective risk management procedures are applied at all times.

· Attend training sessions to enhance their delivery and understanding of NVR.

· Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, pre and post questionnaires, and End of Intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.

· Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals  and improve understanding on NVR and CBT techniques and working with families (parents and children and young people.

· Ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention in advance of the session.

· Partake and pass all relevant NVR and other child, young people  and parent centred training to undertake this specialist work.

· Deliver community training as required.

Recording and administrative tasks:

· Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (attendance, feedback, mid-way and end of intervention reports) using systems provided and in line with performance standards.

· Maintain an accurate audit trail of all relevant communication with partner organistions involved.

· Ensure completion of pre and post questionnaires in line with RISE’s Social Impact strategy.

· Contribute to the evaluation and evidencing of social impact, including questionnaires and service user case studies.

SUN was launched in 2021 and is a service delivered by MFT and SABP for people with difficulties associated with the diagnosis of personality disorder. The innovative SUN service is based on therapeutic community principles and members are expected to both give and receive support as part of their membership. 

The Role

The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

We are looking for individuals who are highly resilient and are confident in sustaining an emotionally demanding paid role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online, with a clinical facilitator.

• Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members.

• Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.

• Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.

• Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.

• Undertake all the required training in line with the development of the post and as agreed with both your line manager within MFT and the service manager of SUN.

• Attend and contribute to additional service development meetings as required.

• Assist in the promotion of the service through active liaison, meetings, and presentations with people who access services, staff and other organisations.

About You

You will be committed to undertake training on SUN protocols and methods and obtain knowledge regarding mental health with specific focus on personality disorder and the recovery approach.

You will have:

• Personal lived experience of mental health issues associated with personality disorder.

• Previous experience of working within a professional environment.

• Knowledge of personality disorder, mental health issues and recovery approach.

• Ability to reflect on and appropriately share your own life experiences and personal experiences of mental ill health as part of the facilitating role of the groups.

• Ability to guide others in taking charge of their own recovery.

• Ability to understand and create healthy boundaries.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication and listening skills.

• Ability to be non-judgmental, demonstrate empathy, compassion and patience.

• Practical experience in facilitating / co-facilitating groups or of being a member of a support or therapy group.

• Ability to remain calm and respond in a professional manner to distress, disturbance and unpredictability.

• Sensitive understanding of diversity issues and ability to promote anti-discriminatory practice and equal-opportunities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, use of email, Outlook, and basic excel skills.

The charity is a mental health and emotional wellbeing charity, supporting Surrey residents since 1994 in Banstead, Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley.
