The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Fundraising and Events Lead to join our growing team. This is a new and exciting opportunity to shape the future of M7 Education’s fundraising strategy and be the driving force behind our next phase of growth.
You’ll take the lead in developing new income streams, building strong relationships with donors and fundraisers, and creating inspiring fundraising events and campaigns. Working closely with the CEO, you’ll have the freedom to innovate, test new ideas, and lay the groundwork for a future fundraising function within the charity.
This is a hands-on role that’s perfect for someone with experience in charity fundraising and event management who’s eager to make a tangible difference in education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income across multiple channels.
- Manage relationships with individual fundraisers, supporting their journeys and ensuring excellent stewardship.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising events — both third-party events (such as the SuperHalfs series) and M7-run initiatives.
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant applications to trusts and foundations.
- Lead creative fundraising campaigns that engage new supporters and promote M7 Education’s mission.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and community partners.
- Monitor fundraising performance, prepare reports, and evaluate impact to inform future growth.
- Contribute to the development of a future fundraising team, including volunteers and, in time, staff members.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in charity fundraising, with a track record of generating income.
- Proven experience in event planning and delivery.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Confident working independently and taking initiative in a small, fast-moving team.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically about income growth.
Desirable:

About This Role
As the Corporate Partnerships Executive, you will play a key role in managing and developing Smart Works’ relationships with corporate supporters. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Partnerships and Fundraising team to deliver an ambitious income target and provide outstanding experiences for our partners.
You will manage your own portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring each relationship delivers value, impact, and long-term engagement. Working alongside the wider team, you’ll also support the delivery of larger, strategic partnerships and take the lead on coordinating corporate volunteering initiatives — liaising with partners and internal teams to create meaningful and well-organised experiences.
In addition to managing existing relationships, you’ll play an active part in growing our corporate partnerships portfolio. This will include supporting new business development activity, researching opportunities within priority sectors, and managing inbound partnership queries and donations. You’ll also collaborate with the Philanthropy Lead to help deliver cultivation events that strengthen our network of high-value supporters.

About This Role
As the Community Partnerships Executive you will play a key role in delivering and defining Smart Works’ community fundraising portfolio. Reporting to the Events Manager, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the Events and Community Fundraising team, as well as Local Centre Fundraising Leads, to engage supporters, strengthen partnerships, and help achieve ambitious income targets.
You will help in the planning and delivery of our mass participation event, Step Up for Smart Works, ensuring it continues to grow in scale, impact, and engagement. Alongside this, you’ll oversee our calendar of sporting challenges—recruiting participants, nurturing relationships, and ensuring every fundraiser feels supported and valued throughout their journey.
Beyond event delivery, you’ll help shape what “community” means for Smart Works. Through research, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with staff and volunteers, you’ll identify opportunities to expand our reach and develop new ways for supporters to get involved locally and nationally.

Head of Programmes is a key role with significant scope to grow as the charity evolves. You’ll lead on the day-to-day delivery of our programmes, including our largest single programme, Maths Circles: a small-group-based maths enrichment programme engaging talented young mathematicians nationwide. You will coordinate a large community of volunteers as well as our in-house team of part-time and freelance staff to deliver an excellent experience for students, parents, tutors and partners.
You will need to be genuinely enthusiastic about using our CRM and Google Sheets to track progress and excited about martialling the charity’s data to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners and trustees. We are seeking a qualified Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the ISVA role as well as a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. Croydon BME Forum, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is tackling ethnic inequalities in health and social care through this “Can You C Me Project”. The Macmillan Team offers personalised support, information, and referrals for individuals affected by cancer, including families and carers, across six South West London boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, and Richmond. Working within a team of three, you will be responsible for two boroughs, Croydon and Merton while supporting colleagues as needed.
As a Project Coordinator for the Can You C Me project, you will play a key role in engaging BME communities to enhance cancer awareness and support. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will lead outreach initiatives, community engagement, and the organisation of project activities across Southwest London. Each coordinator is assigned a specific set of boroughs, collaborating closely with community organisations, faith groups, healthcare providers, and individuals affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities
· Engage and build relationships with local communities, faith groups, and voluntary organisations to raise cancer awareness and improve support networks.
· Organise and deliver cancer awareness events, workshops, and outreach sessions tailored to community needs.

Working Arrangements
