We are looking for a qualified Chef to join our dedicated care home team where your culinary skills will help enhance the wellbeing of our residents. You’ll be responsible for preparing, producing and delivering delicious, nutritious and beautifully presented dishes.

This is a casual position, offering flexible hours to suit both your availability and the needs of the care home.

Key responsibilities of the role:

- Work with the Head Chef to deliver the catering services within the care home
- Prepare food for residents according to nutrition, hydration, and dietary guidelines
- Maintain a high standard of food provision and service to the residents, staff and visitors
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all health and safety records and monitoring adhere to statutory requirements

You will be educated to NVQ Level 3 Preparation and Cooking or equivalent and an intermediary food hygiene certificate.

In addition, you will have excellent communication skills. Previous experience of maintaining standards within a catering department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act and good IT skills are essential, as well as experience working in a care home or similar setting.

The Role

As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Sheffield Crystal Peaks, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in setting up our new shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term.

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

Specifically, you will:

• Play an active part in running our shop in Sheffield Crystal Peaks, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.
• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.
• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment.
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.
• To have experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.
• To be highly organised with good time management skills.
• To be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• To be able to use own initiative.
• To be resilient and adaptable to change.
• To have good planning, guiding and motivation skills to successfully achieve targeted income is desirable.

The Post-Diagnosis Support Programme Manager is a key role at ReMind UK, working across ReMind UK's departments to plan and co-ordinate the delivery of our post-diagnosis interventions. The role works in partnership with local organisations and groups across Bath and North East Somerset, to drive an insight-driven, fully evaluated programme of events and courses at the ReMind UK centre and in local venues.  Working closely with ReMind UK's Head of Engagement, Project Co-Ordinator, Chief Executive Officer, and Volunteering and Engagement Coordinator, the post holder will lead on the annual planning, delivery and evaluation of interventions, project managing a small team of facilitators and volunteers and line managing the Project Co-ordinator.

A solid understanding of child development and safeguarding is essential, along with the flexibility to work across multiple sites. Experience supporting siblings of children with SEND is also desirable.

This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the organisation on their events scoping, planning and delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including meetings, dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required.

· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.

· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.

· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner

· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity

· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager and Senior Events Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post

· To brief the senior leadership team, scientists, clinicians, speakers, staff and volunteers ahead of each event

· Regular attendance at events; this will include some travel and work outside of ordinary working hours

 

What we are looking for:

· Experience in the events industry, both online and in-person

· Planning and delivery of online events via Zoom, Teams or similar.

· Confident working with computers, extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

· Co-ordinating projects or events, particularly large-scale events of 200+ attendees.

· Delivering activity against and monitoring a budget.

· Excellent project management skills

· Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple tasks.

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Experience of working directly in a community based context (including unpaid work)
• Experience of supporting people with a mental health need and or complexities/vulnerabilities
• Experience of delivering one to one support
• Experience of partnership/collaborative working and of building relationships across a variety of organisations
• Knowledge of VCSE and community services in the locality
• Understanding of the wider determinants of health, including social, economic and environmental factors and their impact on communities, individuals, their families and carers
• Understanding of the barriers faced by those living in isolation
• Knowledge of IT systems including ability to use word processing skills, emails, the internet and able to create simple plans and reports
• Ability to complete paperwork, keep records and carry out own administration

The Role

As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Scarborough, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in setting up our new shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term.

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

Specifically, you will:

• Play an active part in running our shop in Scarborough, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.
• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.
• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment.
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).
• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.

• To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.
