This hospice has been caring for local people since 1984. Currently in year three of a three-year strategy that has seen significant fundraising growth, the team now seek a Community and Events Lead (maternity cover) and Prospectus are excited to lead the search. The candidate should ideally be able to start by the beginning of July 2025.

This role will lead the organisation’s extensive programme of events and community fundraising activity. The postholder will lead a team of three people, growing and retaining the community and events activity through strategic and insight-driven decision making to maximise opportunities for significant income growth. It will involve working with colleagues, external supporters, third-party provides and others to develop and test new owned events too.

The selected candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing and developing community and events fundraising activity and will have line managed a team before. You will have experience of setting and managing budgets for events and experience of delivering multi-channel marketing of activities or events to the public. This role is hybrid with three days a week in the office, with Monday as the core team day each week.

About the role:

The Social Care IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process, specialising in working with women whose families are involved with Family Children Services and risk to children is a factor.  You will work to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. This role is part advocacy, part training/education and project work to improve response to victim/survivors experiencing domestic abuse. You will be embedded in the local authority Family Children Services team, working with Social Care professionals to ensure they adopt a trauma informed approach, can recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse and are providing more holistic support. You will be the domestic abuse subject matter expert on site, upskilling fellow professionals and acting as a point of contact for any clients experiencing domestic abuse and support requirements from Family Children Services.

The Social Care project was established in 2021 and has been working in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Family Children Services, so the IDVAs will inherit strong working relationships and a commitment from all parties to offering more trauma-informed services.  The borough has a focus on prioritising and developing good DA work in social care and this is an opportunity to be a major player in institutional change, ensuring that women accessing Family Children services for their children have an improved experience and that the local authorities are leading the way for all survivors engaging with their services.

Advance delivers nationally accredited, quality marked services in Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Brent, Ealing, and across parts of East London. We work within a coordinated partnership response to domestic violence to provide independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women, children and young people and women’s community services for women who are involved in the criminal justice system, in anti-social behaviour or are at risk of breaking the law.

About You:

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge on children safeguarding/legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

 

To be successful as the Social Care IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

You will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.Provide high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to women referred to the service, in respect to risk management and safety planning, criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, and children’s legislation.

Your abilities extend to assessing the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.Advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and proactively advocate to ensure barriers to accessing support and protection are reduced. You will work as an advocate and educator to raise awareness and upskill professionals within Children Social Care plus work with colleagues to successfully develop and deliver training.

You will be joining our growing national advocacy team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. With a lot of autonomy in where you run events to meet your annual target there may need to be some travel to a city/location where you’re generating the income or some events you run may be in evenings or weekends. 

Around going to work events for the role the rest of the job can be done from home anywhere in the UK. Our Cardiff City Centre Head Office is always available to you too. Most Team meetings and day to day colleague work is handled remotely but we’d expect to see you in the office for things such as our quarterly team meetings.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our National Mobilisation Knowledge Group, which seeks to attract new supporters to The Children's Society through paid advertising channels as part of our integrated campaign planning.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently looking for an experienced paid campaign manager to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to design and deliver paid digital campaign strategies and work with media agencies to ensure our investment is reaping rewards. You will enjoy working on a test and learn basis, trying out new products and channels, and upscaling successful activities to deliver on our targets.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Significant experience in managing digital paid media campaigns, including on Meta and Google

-Experience in working with media agencies to deliver integrated marketing campaigns

-The ability to report on campaign progress within delivery teams and to senior stakeholders, and to advise on when to pivot tactics

-Ideally, line management experience to help develop and coach the Digital Marketing Officer

About this job

This year, we’ve embarked on a bold, strategic initiative to enhance our data capabilities. We’re aiming to improve our data use, integration and analytics to increase engagement, maximise impact and drive forward our strategic goals. With a key focus on: effective and efficient operations; collaboration; and continuous improvement in our Technology, Strategy and Business Intelligence teams.

To achieve this ambition, we’ve developed a new technology infrastructure which we are calling “Sage”.  We’re implementing new technology infrastructure this year (such as our new CRM system and suite of data tools – Microsoft Dynamics). 

We will be taking a structured and phased approach to transitioning and embedding our new team structures, infrastructure and ways of working as part of Phase 2 of this Project.

Our Head of Data and Business Intelligence is a cross-organisational leadership role responsible for improving our use of data and insight. This role involves overseeing impact measurement, data governance, and the effective use of BI tools to support evidence-based decision-making. By driving data maturity and fostering a culture of data and insight driven decision-making, this role will help ensure that the MS Society maximises organisational impact and operational effectiveness through robust data management and analysis.

Our Head of Data and Business Intelligence is responsible for: 

• Provide strategic leadership and implement initiatives to improve data maturity and the overall data and insights culture across the organisation
• Develop and implement a comprehensive and organisational-wide data management and BI framework(s) aligned with the MS Society’s mission and organisational strategy
• Act as MS Society’s Data Protection Officer, overseeing compliance with data protection laws and regulations, and acting as the key point of contact for regulatory bodies and data subjects
• Drive adoption and effective use of data management and BI reporting and analysis tools across the organisation
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key data, insights, and reporting needs
• Improve and implement an organisational-wide logical data model and taxonomy
• Develop and manage a high-performance data and BI function and ensure practices continuously improves
• Chair a cross-organisational Data and Information Management Group

For this role we’re looking for:

• Experience in a senior data management and BI role, driving up data maturity across an organisation with a variety of disciplines, teams and processes
• Expert knowledge of business intelligence concepts, data visualisation and analytic methods
• Detailed working knowledge of one or more intelligence platforms e.g. PowerBI, and proficiency in SQL
• Experience of developing and managing a technical team, which provides advice and data related services across an organisation
• Experience in training and mentoring staff in the use of data
• Broad knowledge of information and data architecture
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers

I am excited to be working with a fantastic charity in search of a part-time (21 hours per week) temporary Income Officer on a 3-month temporary contract (possible temp to perm). This is an immediate start London based hybrid role with training and onboarding in office.
Join a purpose-driven finance team in a not-for-profit housing and support organisation. We're looking for a detail-oriented Income Officer to oversee income processing, primarily focusing on rent and service charges, alongside fundraised income.
Key Responsibilities:
•  Manage rent accounting processes, tenant accounts, and housing-related income accurately and efficiently.
•  Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to support tenants and maximise housing benefit income.
•  Maintain and reconcile income records, ensuring data integrity across rent, donations, and commercial income.
•  Process direct debits and tenant payments, resolving account queries in a timely and professional manner.
•  Support fundraising income recording and ensure compliance with Gift Aid and accounting standards.
•  Produce reports on arrears, KPIs, and aged debtors; assist with audits and financial reporting.
About You:
•  Strong finance administration experience, ideally within housing or the charity sector.
•  Confident using spreadsheets, accounting systems, and housing management software.
•  Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
•  Proven ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
•  Good knowledge of rent collection, welfare benefits, and debt recovery practices.
