Chefs in Schools is a young, ambitious charity that’s rapidly growing. Our mission is to improve kids’ health, through improving school food & food literacy. We support and train schools and their kitchen teams to serve the best, freshest and tastiest food possible, all with the aim to improve health and wellbeing where needed most.
Through school kitchens, we work to reset a broken food system that damages children’s health and sets them up to fail.

About you and the role
This role will see you creating engaging content and running our social media feeds. This is a highly autonomous role requiring creativity, problem solving and analytical skills.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, varied working environment and be full of creative ideas. You’ll be as happy filming and editing reels, as you are contributing ideas for campaigns . You’ll be confident writing reactive posts for LinkedIn and you’ll have an eye for making designs as beautiful as the food we serve in schools.
You’ll be good with people - able to work with high profile patrons, to reassure any nervous first time interviewees and capable of a cool head in busy kitchens or at events. You’ll juggle multiple projects and know how to unearth stories that bring our mission to life. A collaborative approach will be at the heart of your approach as you help position Chefs in Schools as an innovative changemaker in education and child health.

Key responsibilities:
Create exciting, constantly evolving content, including videos, photos, graphics and copy that drives specific actions and conversions that support our cause
Planning, filming and editing of reels to our house style - including recipe videos, kitchen tips, patron visits to school kitchens and shoulder to shoulder interview style films.
Plan, pitch and deliver social media campaigns end-to-end, from concept through to launch and beyond — including production coordination, communications planning and stakeholder management
Support the growth of our patron and ambassador work, proactively identifying opportunities and ensuring prominent placement on a variety of owned and external platforms
Champion diversity, equality and inclusion in all social media content
Develop and implement social media content planning aligned to organisational priorities
Lead regular creative brainstorms to build a bank of content ideas and champion creative innovation
Lead our conversations on social channels, proactively sharing sector news with organisational commentary to position us as a thought leader in key online debates. You’ll also build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant networks, schools, chefs, partners and influencers
Keep across trends and industry best practice to ensure our feeds stay fresh and relevant. Make data-driven decisions about where we invest our time
Oversee photography and video shoots when we use external agencies
Essential skills & experience:
At least two years of demonstrable experience creating content and managing social media feeds

About the role:
Join our Wandsworth accommodation service as a Day Concierge and be right at the centre of the day-to-day running of the building. Purpose of the job
To work with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises delivery team to oversee the administration of The Roding Rises, a three-year project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to kick-start the revitalisation of the River Roding. This position will work alongside Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager to ensure that every day finance functions for The Roding Rises project operate efficiently and accurately. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Track project costs against projected budget to ensure budget vs actual expenditure is effectively managed, raising concerns early with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager.
• Complete The National Lottery Heritage Fund claims process at agreed intervals to ensure an appropriate cash flow.
• Assist with relevant reporting tasks back to project funders.
• Work with the Thames21 Head of Finance and Thames21 Finance Officer to ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner in line with internal financial processes and any outstanding payments are managed in line with the approved funding agreement/ project proposal documentation.
• Support The Roding Rises Project Manager with the administration of the Roding Grant Scheme.
• Support the development and integration of improved financial tracking and reporting processes across wider Thames21 teams.

The Volunteer Coordinator (Nag’s Head Farm) will lead the recruitment, administration and support of volunteers for Camp Jojo’s Cumbria camps. As the main point of contact throughout the volunteer journey, they will manage applications, maintain databases, coordinate communications and ensure volunteers are successfully placed at camp.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and supported by the experienced team at Ivy Farm, Essex, the role also includes providing administrative support and attending volunteer-related meetings. This is a varied and rewarding role requiring strong organisational, communication and time-management skills.
Approximately 80% of the role can be carried out remotely; however, the successful candidate will be required to attend each camp at Nag’s Head Farm and must therefore live within a 60-minute commute (driving) of Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria. The position is seasonal, with increased hours during spring and summer and attendance required during school holiday camp periods.
Applicants must be available to attend Camp Jojo, Cumbria on 28th August to experience life at camp before taking up the role. As attendance at camps forms part of the position, applicants must live within a 60-minute drive of Camp Jojo, Cumbria. While approximately 80% of the role can be carried out remotely, some on-site attendance will be required throughout the year.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Bowel Research UK's fundraising strategies and audience engagement initiatives.
This position is responsible for embedding and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing the charity’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.
You will have the autonomy and scope to drive elements of your work and take ownership of your own objectives. You will be required to collaborate on decisions to shape and deliver initiatives, programmes and processes as required for each area of income delivery.
Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising – an area that is underdeveloped at Bowel Research UK. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of Fundraising role, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams would be a huge benefit as the role leads all fundraising income streams, but experience in individual giving is essential.
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream.

To achieve their vision, they are looking for an Individual Giving Manager with a focus on acquisition to work alongside the Head of Individual Giving across regular gifts, appeals, lottery, raffle and other new products.
The Individual Giving Manager drives the recruitment of new supporters and supports the stewardship of warm audience, generating sustainable income for Shaftesbury. The proportion of acquisition focus v retention focus is likely around 70/30.
This role focuses on maximising long-term value through innovative and impactful multichannel campaigns including reactivating lapsed supporters, optimising supporter conversion and delivering engaging onboarding experiences. The Individual Giving Manager will work on growing regular giving, cash and gaming pipelines and manage exciting projects which could include digital, DRTV, face-to- face, telemarketing, direct mail and radio. The role will provide assistance to the Head of Individual Giving with all retention activity, including cash appeals and newsletters.
Shaftesbury is happy to consider fundraisers or officer level candidates looking to step up into their first manager level role. At present this role doesn’t line manage, so management experience is not necessary. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for fundraising, supporter journeys and creative thinking and may have experience within a UK based charity in either IG and legacies, community fundraising, corporate or philanthropy.
This role is hybrid, with 4 days per month on average at either the Gateshead office or London office. The one role is being advertised twice to ensure candidates from both geographic locations see the role within their search remit and feel able to apply.

Steamship Shieldhall is seeking to appoint an experienced freelance Commercial Manager to build new income streams to support the ongoing operation, conservation and sustainability of one of the country's most significant historic ships.
Shieldhall is berthed year-round in Southampton and welcomes passengers and visitors on board from 110 Berth in the Western Docks. She is capable of carrying up to 220 passengers and from spring to autumn each year operates a programme of public sailings ranging from two hour trips to full day cruises. She is also open for alongside events, and is available for private charters. In addition, she can be hired for use alongside such as for training activities, meetings, functions and filming.
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying and realising new opportunities for revenue generation for Steamship Shieldhall, as well as supporting Shieldhall’s experienced volunteers with maximising income from existing activities.
This commission is an important element of the “Steamship Shieldhall: towards 2055, the next 10 years” project which is supported by a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The appointment is intended to cover both the Development Phase and the first two years of the Delivery Phase of our project but will include a break-clause between the two phases. The Delivery Phase contract is contingent on a successful Delivery Phase grant application to the Heritage Fund
