Barts Health NHS Trust provides maternity and neonatal care for women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.

NEL Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care. MNVPs ensure that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System and Integrated Care Board. This influences improvements in the safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care. We work to ensure that every woman and birthing person on the maternity and neonatal pathway has a chance to have their voice heard. We do not speak for them.

We are recruiting a Maternity Lead who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of maternity services at Barts Health NHS Trust into the heart of the development of every aspect of maternity and neonatal services at the trust.

The role of MNVP Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.

This is a paid, self-employed job requiring 1.5 days per week (worked flexibly where possible). Working with the MNVP is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant team, improving care for our service users and enabling voices and engagement with our community.

Research grant management

• Managing the delivery of GOSH Charity’s response-mode funding schemes, including our National Research Project Grant and ‘Lift Off’ pilot study funding call and others.

• Processing, reviewing and validating grant applications.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To manage, lead and support the Fundraising and Communications Team to retain donors, increase income and provide clear direction for our communications. • Lead on the development and delivery of monthly reporting of engagement and support contact, which will feed into the wider All Through Support journey. 

• To work with the Head of Operations and Events to contribute to Agenda topics and speakers from the community; assign roles for the conference to the Support Team.

• Establish a database for external stakeholders also supporting those living with Duchenne on a national basis, fed in to from the Support Team.

• To develop a triaging and caseload process for the Support Team, and how best to regularly monitor this.

• Be involved in the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers appropriate to your area of work. 

• Coordinate cover for the Support Team when there is sickness or leave.

This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery.  You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.

The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.

About the role

We have exciting opportunities for Advocates to join our team covering Lambeth. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, a suitable home internet connection is essential.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  

VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

Sense has a strong track record in Trusts fundraising over many decades, with a talented, supportive fundraising team in place. We have six- figure and multi-year partnerships with leading UK grantmakers, and a portfolio of dedicated Trust supporters, but there is room to grow, and space to make your mark. 

The successful candidate will play an important part in delivering Sense’s strategy to reach 50,000 people with complex disabilities by 2026. Central to this strategy is securing the income needed to deliver and grow charitable services, covering children’s, arts, sports and capital projects, helping to bring forward the day when no-one is left of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential Trust and Foundation funders for priority projects
• Write funding applications, coordinating inputs and creating budgets as needed
• Work closely with operational and finance colleagues to maximise success
• Maintain accurate database records and monitor personal performance
• Secure income from a range of Trusts and Foundations to meet agreed income targets
• Steward a portfolio of funders to strengthen relationships, including thanking, reporting and organising visits

We are recruiting a Standards Policy Officer to join our small and friendly Standards and Regulation team.

About the role

The role of the Standards and Regulation function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.

As the Standards Policy Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.

This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. This means that we can measure candidates’ relevant skills directly and make a fairer decision on which applications to take forward.

This is a highly rewarding role for a Team Leader to manage and coordinate the Outreach Service. The outreach service will target families from the DWP two-year list and New Birth lists as well as managing supervision of complex family caseloads in partnership with Children’s Centres/Family HUBS, midwifery, health teams and mental health services. The postholder will also support and manage other projects as required by Westminster/ Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.​

We are looking for someone who has project management experience including monitoring progress against objectives, managing budget as well as experience of managing staff and volunteers. Excellent I.T skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver in tight timescales are essential.​

You are required to have experience of writing reports to a high standard, as well as experience of working with a diverse range of people, including those experiencing deprivation. ​Experience of safeguarding and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity are essential. 

The salary for 28 hours per week is £28,850.38 per annum​
