Employment Advisors are part of the employment team and work alongside clinicians to provide employment support to help clients remain in work, return to work, or find employment. You have extensive experience in employment support and mental health, providing tailored vocational guidance through job searches, CV development, interview coaching, and job retention strategies. You have successfully supported individuals with mental health conditions to transition into or sustain employment, combining practical support with empathy and professionalism.

Your strong understanding of employment law, the Equality Act, and reasonable adjustments enables you to advise both clients and employers on workplace rights and obligations, ensuring appropriate support and inclusion. You are skilled in building partnerships with external organisations such as employers, Jobcentre Plus, community services, and clinical teams, fostering effective multi-agency collaboration to improve outcomes for clients.

Committed to a person-centred approach, you tailor interventions to meet individual aspirations and needs, using coaching and motivational techniques to empower clients toward achieving their vocational goals. You manage a diverse caseload efficiently, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records, monitoring outcomes, and meeting service performance targets.

Additionally, you possess a sound knowledge of welfare benefits and related support systems, including “better off” calculations, and can effectively signpost clients to services such as housing, financial, and legal advice. Confident liaising with external partners like Access to Work and Citizens Advice, you provide coordinated and comprehensive support that promotes long-term stability and success in employment.

CoSRH is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for healthcare professionals working at the frontline of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) in a range of settings in the community and primary care. CoSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping produce and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team. The activity of the role focuses on undertaking policy, influencing and other public affairs activity inclusive of ensuring the CoSRH’s Hatfield Vision achieves its aims to improve reproductive healthcare for all, and assisting the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) with its programme of activity.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

Accurate and timely administration, referrals, assessments, and service reviews are required, alongside participation in supervision, appraisals, training, and team development activities. We are looking for a passionate, proactive and planned marketing and engagement specialist to join us in a busy, visible and creative role. This is an exciting time to join the team as we roll out a new brand programme, strengthen our narrative as a trusted and leading environmental justice organisation, and build on our successes fighting for people and planet.

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communications plans that grow awareness of the Friends of the Earth brand amongst our target audiences and help us win campaigns by effectively engaging our supporters and grassroots network of groups.

Key Skills:

• Experience of delivering integrated digital and offline marketing and strategic communication campaigns.
• Proven ability to manage the expectations and needs of multiple stakeholders and navigate differences of opinion to deliver excellent results to deadline.
• Understanding of how to gather, analyse, interpret and apply audience insight from a range of different research types to meet project objectives.
• Knowledge of different models of audience segmentation and how to develop content and comms that engage different audiences to benefit both supporter and donor acquisition goals.
• Experience of commissioning creative content from both in-house creative teams and external agencies to develop disruptive and inspirational marketing activations.
• Ability to project manage the marketing and engagement aspects of end-to-end campaign activities, coordinate, negotiate and keep the budget oversight for marketing activity.

The team: 

The Engagement team plays a critical and visible role in the organisation. We lead strategic projects, put engagement into the heart of our campaigns and offer expert advice and analysis to teams across the organisation. We are a high-performing and friendly team that strives to experiment with new ideas and support each other in the process.

This role will work alongside other Marketing Officers who will provide peer support and report into the Marketing & Engagement Manager whom you will work closely with, while also supporting the work and objectives of the wider team. We are cross-organisational in scope so a large part of the role will also be collaborating with different teams such as our production hub, Content & Creative, Campaigns, and Individual & Major Giving teams amongst others.

About the opportunity
This role plays a key part in supporting the wider Action Tutoring team with HR and Safeguarding matters and sits within the Finance, HR and Operations Department, reporting to the Head of People and Culture.

Place of work: This role is within the Action Tutoring Operations team. Duties and responsibilities

Safer recruitment for staff and volunteer tutors

• Responsible for ensuring staff and volunteer tutor safer recruitment records and related checks are up date and complete.
• Collecting references and ensuring they meet our standard requirements. 
• Conducting ID calls for volunteer tutor DBS checks.
• Processing DBS checks and DBS update service checks.

Safeguarding

• Undertaking an initial triage of safeguarding concerns and incidents raised by members of the team and referring to senior staff as necessary. 
• Maintaining and overseeing the tutor safeguarding refresher training using a dashboard
• Compiling safeguarding data into termly reports for the team and board.

HR

• Supporting the Head of People and Culture with recruitment processes. This will include preparing paperwork relating to the selection process and offers of employment and following up with applicants and the hiring manager to ensure both sides have a quality hiring experience.

About the role

As part of our mission to break down barriers to university access and address wider educational inequalities, the Social Mobility & Widening Participation (SMWP) department has developed a dedicated strand of place-based outreach. This approach, rooted in the specific needs of local communities, is becoming increasingly impactful across King’s and is gaining recognition across the sector. Through our Access & Participation Plan 2025–2029, we have made ambitious commitments to expand our place-based work to improve young people’s educational outcomes and tackle barriers to university access and broader social inequalities.

Our place-based approach focuses on addressing localised challenges such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision, and employment and fair wages. We work in close partnership with South London Citizens to achieve this shared mission. This role leads the development and delivery of collaborative, community-led initiatives and supports the wider integration of this approach across King’s. Through these initiatives, the postholder empowers community members to design, launch, and sustain impactful campaigns that respond directly to local needs. They will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful, place-based change, including engagement in broader local, regional, and national initiatives.

Using community organising methodology, the postholder will lead and expand our core place-based programmes: Parent Power South London and Empoderando Familias, delivered with South London Citizens, and EmpowerESOL, facilitated in collaboration with internal King’s teams. A key focus will also be the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions, in partnership with The Brilliant Club. This initiative empowers parents and carers to engage actively in their children’s education while building networks of community organisers who drive change locally and nationally.

At the heart of this role is a commitment to collaboration and community, both external and internal, as powerful drivers of social impact. The postholder will also support and develop the WP Champions Network, a university-wide staff community passionate about social mobility. By curating resources, delivering training, and shaping its strategic vision, they will help embed widening participation across King’s, amplifying its impact within and beyond the university.

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) offered on an indefinite contract.
