About the role

The Corporate Partnerships team has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to support with the delivery of a range of key corporate partnerships within the Partnership Management team and directly manage allocated smaller relationships and projects to drive income and maximise the value to Macmillan.

This is a rare opportunity to work with several recognised household brands and exciting campaigns such as Coffee Morning and Mighty Hikes.  You’ll be immersed into the brands and partners we work with every day and receive training and guidance on Corporate Partnerships, where you will meet lots of great people, both internally and externally.

The Corporate Partnerships team generates over £15m+ per year and those vital funds from corporates help people living with cancer every day.  By working with some of our biggest partners you will see the direct impact of our income, which goes to fund nurses, our support line, and bespoke projects in communities to support people living with cancer.

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for securing income from High Net Worth Indiviudals and supporting in developing Corporate Partnerships. With a new campaign, A Route to A Million, which aims to raise an additional £1.5 million over the next 3 years, and with an exciting opportunity to work with new and specific board members to support on this, this role will steward and nuture relationships that can lead to multiyear six figure gifts. 

To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager, you will have proven experience of fundraising and securing income from major donors or corporate partnerships. You will be able to demonstrate strong pipeline management and relationship building capabilities, that have led to multiyear relationships with high value donors. This person will be passionate about empowering young people through social action. 

This role is a part-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London two days per week. The salary for this role is £45,000 FTE.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the Philanthropy Plan in line with the Organisational and Fundraising Strategy to maintain and grow sustainable income from major donors, corporate partnerships and trusts and foundations

Essential

• Proven experience and understanding of major partnership fundraising including trusts & foundations, major donor and corporate fundraising techniques
• Experience and evidence of first-class relationship management techniques and donor care
• A demonstrable understanding of the written and contractual agreements involved in partnerships, ideally within a charity
• Proven track record of securing significant major gifts
• Experience of effective reporting to board level ensuring compliance, transparency and accountability are achieved

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis. 

We are always working to provide resources to help, support and empower patients. Giving them the information they need to make better choices about their treatment, while working to identify and target specific unmet needs in the prostate cancer ecosystem, such as racial inequality and bone metastasis.

Our dedicated staff team is the key to our success, expanding the amount of research that we fund five times over in four years. PCR has been shortlisted for an Impact Prize and won the Change Project of the year award in 2023

It’s been a successful few years for PCR’s Events team with good results across the portfolio, raising over £1.4m (against a target of £800k) in 2023-24 and more than £2.3m in 2024-25 (against a target of £1.7m). The team structure has recently been refreshed, bringing in new roles to ease capacity and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their jobs within our ambitious and supportive team. 

This role is a new position within the structure, created to focus on our growing third-party events portfolio, an area which is performing well across the sector and deserves more attention. It is an important role which will oversee the innovation, planning and delivery of all third-party events, whilst taking a leading role on wider infrastructure development for the team.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and the delivery of brilliant stewardship during supporters’ participation in third-party events & beyond.

The position reports to the Head of Events & Community and will supervise the work of two Events & Community Executives on relevant projects. Collaboration will be important, including with the other Events team managers who each lead the innovation, planning & delivery of (a) virtual challenge events, and (b) PCR-owned bespoke events. 

We are keen to work together to develop & shape this into an exciting and meaningful role for you. At PCR, we prioritise our team members’ development, and there will be a % of time available to work on other areas of the portfolio for development and interest. However, your main focus will be: 

Strategy, project management and income growth 

• Create and lead the strategy to maximise the value of PCR’s third-party challenge events portfolio, working with the Head of E&C and others to take a long-term view and build this area into a sustainable & growing income stream. 

• Oversee the project management of all third-party events, including the London & Brighton Marathons (and other new events as they are introduced), working with the E&C Executives to ensure targets are met and best practice delivered. 

• Design and deliver ambitious fundraising budgets for your projects which contribute net income towards PCR’s mission. 

• Build good relationships with suppliers, venues, agencies and consultants to ensure great value. 

• Oversee the stewardship of fundraisers, ensuring journeys are relevant & engaging and continuously improved.

• Work with the other Events team managers to contribute to the planning & delivery of other activity areas. 

Product development and innovation 

• Seize the opportunity to grow & improve PCR’s third-party event portfolio, staying up to date with sector trends, identifying new journeys, suppliers & products, and taking a test & learn approach, always ensuring that learnings are captured. For this, there will be realistic budgets & an understanding of the investment needed for new ideas. 

• Develop approaches to engage supporters beyond their initial participation, working with Public Fundraising colleagues & others to test cross-selling journeys and maximise the life-time value of third-party event fundraisers. 

• Maintain a strong level of understanding of PCR’s existing (and target) supporters to create and implement products & stewardship that motivate and inspire them. 

• Alongside the Head of E&C and other Events team managers, embed a culture of innovation and supporter insight. 

• Proactively collaborate internally, working with other teams to identify opportunities which meet PCR’s objectives, including with the Partnerships team to ensure the development & delivery of an employee fundraising programme. 

• Take the lead in developing processes and infrastructure across the Events team that improve efficiency, compliance and best practice, working with other team members to prioritise and deliver this work. 

Team leadership  

• Alongside the other Events team managers, supervise the relevant day-to-day work of the Events & Community Executives to ensure that the projects you are working on together are carried out effectively. 

• Work closely with the Head of E&C and the other Events team managers on team strategy and capacity planning. 

• Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, modelling the principle of collective responsibility. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team. 

• Work with the Head of E&C and other Events team managers to embed and model PCR’s organisational values: innovation, collaboration, accountability and championing the patient voice. 

The Events & Community Manager may also get involved with other projects and tasks as appropriate to support Public Fundraising activities. Attendance may be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

Skills and Competencies 

Our ideal candidate would be proactive team player, with: 

• A willingness to get stuck in, eager to learn and strong sense of personal accountability. 

• Confident event and project management skills, including end-to-end planning, budgeting & results tracking. 

• An understanding and (ideally) experience of third-party challenge events or similar peer-to-peer fundraising activity. 

• The ability to see opportunities and drive progress in existing events – and finding our next successful ones!

• An ability to oversee others’ work, delegate & give feedback effectively, and to take a leadership role within the team. 

• Excellent organisational skills & an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, identifying the most valuable use of time

This health charity is in an exciting stage in their evolution. They are four years into a five-year organisational strategy.

They are looking for a proactive Head of Corporate Partnerships who can deliver against growth targets, is passionate about creating strategic, impactful partnerships, and a confident leader.

This is a maternity cover contract starting in mid-September and expected to run to the end of October 2026.

This role would suit someone with a strong background and sound understanding of corporate partnerships. You will need to have a positive mindset, be impact and target focused whilst balancing and adapting priorities.

You will be joining a supportive, collaborative and fun team with a variety of skills and expertise. You will contribute to building a positive, values-based culture within the fundraising team and bring together new ideas and creative thinking, expert leadership and strong relationship building and negotiation skills to contribute to significant growth.

The Charity

The Role
Lead and deliver the corporate partnerships strategy to meet and exceed income targets.
Maintain and grow relationships with current corporate partners.
Work with the Development Advisory Group to maximise networks and opportunities for corporate fundraising.
Identify and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on six figure opportunities.
Work closely with the Membership Manager to oversee the strategy, delivery, and growth of the Employer Membership Programme.
Lead and inspire a team of four (two direct reports).

The Candidate
Significant experience in corporate partnership fundraising or similar role
Experience of leading and winning six figure partnerships

The CRM Product Team at WaterAid UK drives data-led fundraising and campaigning by collaborating across departments to ensure our Dynamics365 CRM system meets business needs. 

About the role 

As our CRM Product Manager, you will define and deliver a visionary CRM strategy that empowers WaterAid’s fundraising success, working closely with technical teams, fundraising stakeholders, and global partners to drive sustainable change. 

In this role, you will: 

• Set and lead the CRM vision for WaterAid UK and work with international colleagues on a global CRM strategy. 
• Define and own the CRM roadmap, aligning it with strategic priorities and ensuring a well-managed product backlog and measurable outcomes. 
• Lead and develop the CRM Product team, fostering a high-performing culture and delivering a best-in-class platform for fundraising operations. 
• Act as a trusted advisor, championing CRM benefits and ensuring the platform supports income growth across key fundraising channels. 
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding. 

Requirements

To be successful, you will need: 

• Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other enterprise CRM platforms, and a clear understanding of how CRM drives fundraising strategy. 
• Strong business and systems analysis skills, including the ability to write effective user stories and translate requirements into actionable solutions. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams through technology transformation, with experience in stakeholder management and navigating change. 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across diverse cultures and manage supplier relationships and budgets effectively. 

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have: 

• Knowledge of fundraising-specific CRM services such as GiftAid, Direct Debits, BACs, event and supporter management. 
• Experience with extract, transform and load (ETL) processes, particularly handling large batch data operations. 
• Hands-on experience developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives.  We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
