We are seeking an experienced, strategic and collaborative Head of Communications and External Engagement to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping Martingale’s external profile, strategic partnerships, and policy influence.

As Head of Communications and External Engagement, you will join our growing senior management team, overseeing several critical aspects of Martingale’s work: communications and recruitment; partnerships and fundraising; and policy and advocacy. Working closely with the CEO, you will oversee all aspect of Martingale’s external communications and engagement to ensure Martingale’s success.

You will set the strategic direction of Martingale’s external positioning, working closely with the CEO on a day-to-day basis to ensure that our communications, partnerships and policy activity is aligned and meeting Martingale’s mission. You will ensure that Martingale’s messaging is consistent, with a bold brand presence and strong collaboration with various external stakeholders including funders, universities, media, and government.

We are looking for a strong communicator with extensive leadership experience including line management, partnership management and external relations. You will bring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a strong alignment with Martingale’s mission. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and deliver a clear, bold strategy for communications, policy, and partnerships aligned with Martingale’s vision and growth.

Policy & Advocacy

We’re looking for a Membership Development Manager to lead our recruitment and retention work at the RCR, building global partnerships, leading on campaigns, and using insight and data to drive engagement and growth.

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking a collaborative and organised Lambeth Community Research Network (LCRN) Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the growth and coordination of a borough-wide partnership driving change in how research is designed and delivered. 

This is an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic, cross-sector network that connects community organisations, researchers, and public institutions to ensure that research in Lambeth is fairer, more inclusive, and community-led.

The role sits within the Heart for the Gospel Programme, which is part of the Department for World Mission. You will report to the Head of Programme and contribute to the work of the BMS World Mission.

Working with BMS World Mission provides the opportunity to help people experience faith in Christ and the abundant life He only offers. This role provides you with the opportunity to be involved in supporting mission workers and partners to preach the gospel, make disciples, plant Churches, supporting workers sent to some of the least evangelised places. Whether working on partnership agreement, budgets and grants or supporting the training of evangelists you will be playing a vital role in extending the kingdom of God, fulfilling the great commission and help BMS stay on the cutting edge of global mission. The Lead role falls into four main areas as follows:
• Support the development and implementation of BMS strategy in the ministry area

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem – the perpetrator.  This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change.

The Drive Head of Programmes will play a central role in maintaining strategic oversight of internal operations, including project planning and risk management across workstreams, and partner coordination across the Drive Partnership. This is a senior leadership position providing operational leadership, staff management, and cross-partner coordination to ensure workstreams within the Drive Partnership function effectively, efficiently and in in alignment with the Drive Partnership’s core mission.

The role will report directly to the Drive Director, form part of the Drive Senior Management team and work alongside the Drive Deputy Director and other Senior Leads to embed a high-performing, values-led culture across The Drive Partnership.

We are UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to approximately 8,500 frontline charities and community groups.  Every week we provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.

For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.

The Role

This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.
You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.

Main areas of responsibility

Partnership Management

• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.

This dual role is split approximately 40% fundraising and 60% project leadership and partnership development. You will play a key role in securing new income streams through successful funding applications to trusts, foundations, and public-sector bodies, while also overseeing the delivery of inclusive, community-based projects and representing ECP on key strategic forums and partnership steering groups.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. 

Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for nearly 60 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are. 

We do not receive any government, statutory or local authority funding and so we rely on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts: people like you, who care about children and want Sussex to be a safe place for children to grow up. 

About the role

We are looking for someone to manage the fundraising income streams across a broad range of fundraising activities (including challenge, community, and corporates) with the guidance of the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and in line with our organisational strategy.

You will be a driven and articulate individual looking to support the whole fundraising team. We are looking for someone who can multitask and manage a wide range of new and existing supporters. Under the direction of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships this role will support us to engage a broad range of supporters for example you might be managing our challenge events, expanding our community fundraising offer, or supporting our amazing corporate supporters with their staff fundraising plans. Every day is different.

You will play a pivotal role in developing our supporter engagement activities to tie in with the overarching plans for the charity and help to grow the income generated. You will be a team player who can see the importance of the charity’s mission and who is keen to get stuck in. As a small charity this role is very much hands on – doing planning and delivery of fundraising activities, campaigns and projects.

Duties of the role 

Supporting the charity to secure income from across our fundraising portfolio:

Rockinghorse raises money to support children in hospitals, their families and the staff that care for them.

• To manage fundraised income (including challenge, community and corporate) with the charity’s strategic plan at the core of all activity.
• To work with the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and the team of fundraisers to implement and develop a holistic approach to fundraising and supporters.
• To manage and advise all supporters with their events and activities in aid of Rockinghorse, to maximise income generated and increase awareness and understanding of the charity and our work.
• To proactively grow and develop new ways for supporters to fundraise for Rockinghorse and engage in our work for children across Sussex.
• To manage supporter journeys, products and mechanisms for the supporters you are assigned to manage.
• To ensure you forecast, budget and have contingency planning in place for your income pipeline across your channels.
• To understand the needs, wants and behaviours of new and existing supporters.
• To help Rockinghorse grow our reach and find ways to bring our case for support to life for supporters.
• To evolve our case for support to attract, retain and engage a loyal community of supporters.
• To work with the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships on budgeting and reporting of income generating activities.

Supporting the charity to deliver brilliant, funded projects that support children and their families:

Rockinghorse delivers and funds around 70+ projects per year – supporting sick and disabled babies, children, young people and their families in hospitals in Sussex.

• Work with Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to match projects to partners, supporters and appeals – to ensure our projects are funded and delivered.
• Work with Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to create case for supports for our projects that appeal to and attract a range of supporters.
• Work with Projects Manager and Head of Marketing & Communication to create and disseminate project updates and communication to ensure our supporters are informed, educated and engaged in our work.
• Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications and project leads to build up a bank of case studies, quotes and stories we can use to feed back to supporters.

 Support the charity more widely:

• Represent Rockinghorse at events and networks, building strong peer relationships and sharing best practice.
• To present and speak on behalf of Rockinghorse at schools, colleges, community events and corporate events.
• Model excellent conduct and behaviours in line with the charity’s values and ethos. 
• Carry out other such duties as may be required for the purposes of the charity; this will include working during evenings and weekends as required and the postholder would be expected to work flexibly to do so.
• There are travel requirements for this post (covering the whole of Sussex) to attend, put on events and meet with our supporters.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem - the perpetrator.  This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change. 

The Drive Head of Operations will play a central role in maintaining strategic oversight of internal operations, including project planning and risk management across workstreams, and partner coordination across the Drive Partnership. This is a senior leadership position providing operational leadership, staff management, and cross-partner coordination to ensure workstreams within the Drive Partnership function effectively, efficiently and in in alignment with the Drive Partnership's core mission.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced, highly organised professional to take on a pivotal role leading the coordination and delivery of two of Julie’s Bicycle's flagship international training programmes: ITER and Creative Climate Changemakers (CCC) (formerly Creative Climate Leadership - CCL).This blended role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and high-quality delivery of both programmes. It demands a blend of exceptional project management expertise and a passion for supporting and facilitating transformative climate action within the cultural sector.

You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from strategic co-design of the ITER curriculum as well as facilitating the ITER training. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of logistics, partnerships, and finance across both programmes (ITER and CCC). This includes leading the coordination for a week-long residential CCC programme in Switzerland in March 2026 (attendance and facilitation for the CCC residential won’t be required) and managing the ongoing delivery of the ITER programme. Your ability to maintain clear communication with international partners like Ver Le Futur and In futurum, as well as with funders and programme participants, will be key to success. If you thrive on both high-level strategy and detailed operational delivery, this is a unique opportunity to directly support and scale the next generation of creative climate leaders.

Programme overviews

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering two of our core training programmes:

• Creative Climate Changemakers (CCC) (formerly Creative Climate Leadership) has been running in different formats since  2017. CCC is an international training, support and transformation programme which empowers artists, artivists and cultural change-makers to take action on the climate and ecological crisis with impact, creativity, and resilience.
  CCC strengthens the extraordinary climate leadership already energising the creative and cultural ecosystem everywhere. Through deep immersion in the themes, creativity as a practice and the community as a whole, CCC champions a systems approach orientated towards justice and inclusion. Creative Climate Change-makers represent an exceptional international cohort; many projects, companies and careers are flourishing as a result of the programme, with national cultural policies responding to this new field of practice led by over 200 CCL alumni from all five continents. 

• International Touring and Environmental Responsibility (ITER) Programme: Now entering into its fifth year the ITER programme is a partnership between Arts Council England, Arts and Culture Norway and the Danish Arts Foundation, and aims to foster new international collaborations and connections between the participating countries. ITER consists of two training programmes running in parallel; a course for beginners and a course for Changemakers, followed by an opportunity for participants to collaborate and apply for project funding. The programme is directed at touring professionals in the creative sector, focusing on sustainability. To date, 137 organisations and individual artists have taken part in the programme. Many are now leading the way by re-imagining conventional models of touring, putting environmental and social sustainability at the heart of what they do, and bringing important new learning to the sector. 

Key Responsibilities

Project management and administration

• Manage the day-to-day project management and administration for both the CCC and ITER programmes.

• Ensure smooth coordination and clear partnership roles (R&Rs) are maintained with key partners for each programme, including Ver Le Futur (Switzerland) for CCC and In futurum for ITER, along with other partners and funders.

• Coordinate, manage, and contribute to internal JB meetings for both programmes, including coordinating internal programmatic development/awayday sessions.

• Manage the budget for ITER and ensure timely payments to partners and guest speakers. Take an overview of the delivery of the Pro Helvetia Grant for CCC.

• Ensure all documentation, including evaluation, impact and funder reports, and statistics, are complete and distributed for CCC, and manage the evaluation for ITER.

• Coordinate logistics for both programmes: scheduling meetings, task management, folder management, and ensuring information flows between the team and stakeholders.

Programme delivery & design

• CCC residential planning: Manage JB responsibilities for planning, project management, and logistics for one full residential CCC programme in Switzerland in March 2026. 

• ITER and CCC Programme delivery: Lead the day-to-day delivery of the ITER and CCC programmes across both beginner and advanced levels, ensuring connectivity across sessions, networking, and live events.

• Co-design and co-deliver the ITER seminar sessions curriculum with the Head of Programmes, associate facilitators, JB programme leads, and in futurum.

• Take responsibility for the strategic overview of the ITER curriculum, learning objectives, and proactively respond to the needs/interests of the cohorts.

• Manage all aspects of the online sessions for ITER, with support from the digital team.

• Organise and brief guest speakers for ITER.

• Co-ordinate JB experts and/or deliver mentoring to winning ITER and CCC projects to support successful delivery of participant's project concepts.

• Manage communications with ITER participants and CCC alumni network on occasions.

• Co-design and manage the ITER/CCC networks.

• Take part in the participant and project selection process for ITER/CCC.

Communications, Strategy & Development

• Liaise with the Comms and Marketing teams for JB, Ver le Futur, and other CCC partners.

• Manage the Communications Campaign for ITER in partnership alongside with the JB marcomms team, including promoting the programme, capturing insights, case studies, and assets.

• Support the JB team on developing the brand, strategy, partnership model, and resourcing for ITER/CCC going forward.
