Job Title: Refuge Worker
Location: Hounslow (This is an onsite role, located within the London Borough of Hounslow, there may be a requirement to occasionally work in the London Borough of Hillingdon)
Salary: £28,857.12 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges.This includes safety planning and enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits, and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice (SLRA is regulated to provide advice at IAA Level 3) as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. SLRA also campaigns for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.
We are looking for a Senior Immigration Advisor and/or Solicitor who will be responsible for the delivery of immigration advice and casework to service users in a wide range of circumstances, although most will be rough sleepers. The work will be varied and will cover a broad range of asylum and immigration issues, along with the opportunity to support advocacy work and to improve access to justice.

Are an Immigration Advisor regulated at IAA Level 3 and/or qualified solicitor with substantial relevant experience of providing high quality advice and casework to clients.
Have a good understanding of a wide range of legal, rights and entitlements issues as they relate to immigration and asylum, along with knowledge of and empathy with the backgrounds and experiences of migrants who are in crisis or at risk

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
- Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
- Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
- Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
- Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

About the Role: We wish to appoint a Social Media Coordinator to join our small Communications and Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity to increase the engagement of the Diocese of Winchester through digital media channels.
You will be responsible for sharing the life of the diocese and positive content about Christian faith through social media with particular relation to sharing news and stories about the 2025 Bid for national funding (awarded by the national church to dioceses to support them to undertake transformational programmes aimed at revitalising mission and ministry and growing the Kingdom of God in terms of numbers of worshippers and depth of faith).
This role also includes equipping our churches to reach out using digital tools and social media platforms with a particular emphasis on younger audiences, in line with our Bid’s priorities to grow younger and more diverse as a diocesan community.

Job Summary
- Developing the diocese’s social media presence on its current platforms – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn– developing content and campaigns according to an annual content plan which incorporates all church seasons, awareness days, liturgical events, as well as sharing the key messages and events from the Diocese particularly in relation to the 2025 Bid for national funding.
- Working closely with the Comms team, Strategic Development team and senior staff to identify stories and examples of good ministerial practice and creative ideas that can be communicated with our wider diocesan community through social media, fostering a culture of information and ideas sharing across the diocese.
- Being part of wider strategic conversations to consider the role of social media in how the diocese can effectively communicate information about the Bid process and how benefices can engage with it, particularly in communicating with children, youth and families and youth leaders.
- Assist with the development of a strategic plan which grows the diocesan presence on new platforms, such as TikTok and BlueSky, with the specific aim of generating content that reaches younger audiences and that is more missional and ‘gospel-centred’, keeping up to date with online trends.
- Working closely with Mission and Ministry Team to communicate their training and events in ways tailored to younger audiences, and building collaborative networks of young people and youth leaders and comms people around the diocese who will share our content.
- Equipping our parishes with digital skills in using social media through training, getting them started on appropriate platforms and advising them on content and strategy to connect with existing and new audiences, as part of a suite of interventions offered as part of the 2024 Bid for funding and aligning with aims to help our diocesan community grow younger and more diverse.
- Using online tools in data analysis, reporting on social media engagement, and scheduling tools such as Buffer.
- Engaging with other social media users within and outside our community, including regularly interaction with parishes and diocesan communities, sharing their stories and commenting, replying to messages and queries, and being an ambassador for the diocese and our Christian faith and values.
- Ensuring our social media platforms allow stakeholders to provide comments and feedback on all that we do and to create a culture of shared ownership and storytelling.
- Working consistently within and upholding the diocese’s brand values/tone of voice and within the Archbishop’s social media guidelines as well as the diocese’s own social media policy.
- Supporting the other members of the comms team with creating designed content using tools like Canva and video for use on social media sites and offering creative ideas within the team context.
Key role requirements
This is an office-based role, with the expectation to work from the office 1 day per week.
About you
We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Educated to at least degree level is preferable
- An excellent level of English is essential
- Good skills in both written and verbal communication
- Experience of using social media and designing campaigns to share stories of Christian faith, grow online community and reach younger audiences
- Some experience with audio, photography, video editing for multi-channel use
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or other editing tools
- Experience of working within, or alongside, the Church of England or another Christian charity or mission organisation desirable

We are seeking a Head of Leadership Development who will provide senior leadership as part of the Academy team, responsible for ensuring that all our programmes and opportunities are truly world class. Job description
The postholder will be expected to provide energy advice to householders by telephone and email. Delivering key information to help householders/clients to access appropriate support. Whilst maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients.
Pay and conditions
The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week). However, we will consider applications from a minimum of 22.5hrs per week.
The salary for the role will be £25,750. Rising to £26,739 after passing 6-month probationary period.
You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- To work on the advice line and/or other telephone advice projects making and receiving calls from people who may need help with energy related issues.
- To record client details and use own knowledge to assess help and support needed.
- To refer clients onto other support organisations in their area as appropriate.
- To identify energy improvements that can be made to clients’ properties and refer to installers who can fit them.
- To help vulnerable clients make applications for grants and switch energy tariffs where appropriate.
- To listen attentively to callers (some of whom may be in distress) and respond to their needs in an empathetic way.
- To be familiar with and adhere to advice line protocol, processes and procedures.

Essential attributes for this role include:
- Minimum Math/English GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience of giving advice, customer service or helping others in some capacity.
- Ability to respond to clients in a respectful and engaging manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a team and able to identify areas where their skills complement others.
- Ability to maintain admin systems independently and accurately.
- Able to take responsibility for your own work and seek support where necessary.
- Highly organized at managing time and workload.
- Skilled in use of MS office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
