Head of Programmes is a key role with significant scope to grow as the charity evolves. You’ll lead on the day-to-day delivery of our programmes, including our largest single programme, Maths Circles: a small-group-based maths enrichment programme engaging talented young mathematicians nationwide. You will coordinate a large community of volunteers as well as our in-house team of part-time and freelance staff to deliver an excellent experience for students, parents, tutors and partners.

You will need to be genuinely enthusiastic about using our CRM and Google Sheets to track progress and excited about martialling the charity’s data to communicate clearly with colleagues, partners and trustees. You will take ownership of programme reporting and KPIs, using insights to identify and implement delivery improvements and demonstrate impact.

You will communicate regularly with our diverse community – including speaking directly to young people and parents to resolve issues, recruiting and training education professionals and meeting with partners to organise and manage projects. Beyond programme delivery, you’ll play a crucial part in fundraising, communications, recruitment and planning and will occasionally deputise for the Foundation Director in representing the charity externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of programme operations
• Drive impact by setting, monitoring and reporting on KPIs (e.g. attendance, retention, satisfaction) whilst sharing insights with partners and funders
• Coordinate and support a team of part-time staff, freelancers and delivery contractors

About the team

The media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media activity, engaging with journalists to support WaterAid’s mass engagement, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing. 

As our Senior PR Manager, you will lead the public relations function for WaterAid and work closely with the three senior media officers you manage, to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Lead on developing and delivering innovative integrated, digital first PR campaigns that achieve impactful national, international, local and digital coverage, to support our fundraising and public engagement activities, build WaterAid’s profile, and align with wider organisational aims 

• Manage our media around our high-profile strategic partnerships to deliver media projects that meet shared objectives and help our partners become influencers in their sector to drive change 

• Work with the Celebrity and Influencer team to develop effective ways to work with high-profile supporters to build awareness of WaterAid and our work 

• Act as a media spokesperson for WaterAid as required, briefing journalists on and off the record and giving media interviews where necessary 

• Provide professional advice and support to colleagues in the UK, including our Chief Executive and within the WaterAid federation involved in media relations work, and identify opportunities to coordinate media moments across the organisation

The Post-Diagnosis Support Programme Manager is a key role at ReMind UK, working across ReMind UK's departments to plan and co-ordinate the delivery of our post-diagnosis interventions. • Proven experience working with major donors, this could be at officer/executive level and a step into a manager role or someone already in a manager role

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the trust and foundations portfolio, ensuring sustainable pipeline growth

Working with colleagues across the country, this role will help us to build on good practice, develop external partnerships, and drive income generation plans to grow and sustain our Green Community Hubs network. School in a Bag Trading Ltd is the wholly owned trading subsidiary of the charity School in a Bag and all profits made by the company are given to the charity to support its work in providing rucksacks full of educational, hygiene, eating and drinking equipment to displaced, deprived and disadvantaged children across the world. 

We operate a flagship three-day music festival, Home Farm festival, which has grown significantly in recent years. 2026 will be Home Farm Festivals 19th year and having started as a small one stage event it has now grown in profile and numbers, attracting nearly 5000 people on site for the weekend with 100’s of local bands performing, supported by nearly 200 volunteers.

Building on this success, we are now looking to diversify and expand our event portfolio to increase income and reach new audiences. The Event Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our events programme, leading on the management of the existing festival and developing, planning, and executing a wider range of events – from concerts and community initiatives to potential new commercial ventures. 

The role requires a creative, entrepreneurial, and commercially minded individual with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. We are looking for someone with Event Management experience and excellent team and volunteer engagement knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop and grow an existing successful event alongside creating new events to raise the profile of the organisation and the charity and to generate further profit to support its work.
